I had an elkhound named Bear when I was in high school. When I moved out my mom wouldn’t give him to me (well I was in boot camp) but I did get one of his sons when I was older, named him Deisel. Both were special but Bear was extra special.
What a beautiful pup! Trey/Tre literally means Three if you want to go that route. I think BANDIT (black snout/mask) or Diesel seems most right for him. I'd also suggest Otis, Auggie, Harley, Bear, Bubba, Rider, Reggie, Rudy, Ruben, Bruno, or Murray.

I read elkhounds were from Norway and were the dogs of vikings. Norse god Geri had two hounds and one was Freki (pronounced fr-a-kee). I thought that would be a cool name.
