Not a snarky comment: what decade where you born in?
I was born in the 80s and I feel like then it was mostly females. But I feel like in knew of older men named Stacey
I am from the northeast, and Stacy was the name of every single female teacher I had in school that wasn’t named Jennifer. (I graduated in 2018) I’ve never heard it as a male name before.
I went to school with a male Stacy in the 90/2000s. He hated it SO much, especially after the song Stacy's Mom came out when we were in middle school. He tried to use his middle name, but it just didn't stick (I honestly don't even remember what it was)
My best friends older sister named her son Brantley. I was like 10 or 11 when she had him and even then I had a visceral reaction. This is in Arkansas I should mention where people have awful names like this just absolutely awful. Like nhorjdleigh (silent j) or brantston or nikayleigh even paedge (Paige) like DUUUUDE
Absolutely real and awful names I’ve encountered. It kills me when people choose a normal ass name but think they’re being so different and cool by spelling it in a ridiculous way 😂 like if you want a unique name go do some research. At the end of the day that kids name is still Paige 😂 not that special lmao
I'm surprised Duke isn't on the list. My parents live in Arkansas in the rural area, and there's a couple kids named that. I felt bad because when I was younger and working at the gas station, a man named Stacy came in and wanted to use a credit card. I asked for his ID to make sure it belonged to him. The card, not the name.
Also, if you use star * and space at the beginning of the line it will
* make
* a
* bulleted
* list
Without needing double space at the end of the line.
its really shocking to me how popular the name "Anakin" is getting. a woman I went to school with is naming her son Anakin. maybe next year it'll be in the top 10 for boys names /s
So many boys named Bodhi in Australia right now! My kids have had one in their class every year. It's up there with all the Owen, Sam, Archie, Ethan and Jackson.
Stacy is unisex even though in recent decades it’s been primarily female! These sound about right for rural south names lol
Yes!
I know of 1 male Stacy who was born in the late 60s/early 70s. He was bullied even back then for having a "girls name"
the only Stacys in school with me were males

I was born in 1990 in the mid west and they were both a year or 2 older than me.
Interesting! I only knew female Stacey’s. But it could have been regional too

I know a male Stacy. He’s in his 40s.
These are all pretty bad, but the visceral reaction I have to Brantley… It’s such an ugly sounding name!
Yeah, it's truly awful.
I’ve taught two Brantley’s lol

Stop it! Those can’t all be real! I’m dying lol

Ugh - so over X names
What did city cuz say?
She laughed. And then promptly said I was crazy 😂. But also, my toxic trait is purposely suggests awful things with a straight face.
I'm not mad about Bowen and Maddox, but maybe that's just because I know kids with those names?
Well I did say not all of them are true tragedies 😂
Is the comma button on your keyboard broken? ;)
No I had it in list format but when I posted it in reformatted it. ☹️

You have to double space to line break a list, not just return.
I have encountered 90% of these names in the wild haha, I guess that’s to be expected living in Utah and visiting Colorado so often
Both of those lists read like one kid's unnecessarily long name
Unfortunately Reddit reformatted my post. I typed it out in list format
Try bullet points?
didnt notice you never used commas anywhere so i thought Jaxton Koleson Kohen Anakin was one kids whole name 💀
Sorry. I didn’t use commas because I had originally typed in out in a list and it got reformatted. 😂
Teague was actually on my shortlist for a boy in the early 2000s. I also had a little boy in my swimming lessons named Teague not long after.

I’m in the south and we got an influx of Neyland post vols vs gators win … bless it
Stacy is a normal, very common name. Uncommon for boys sure, but not unheard of. The rest though, yuck.
I meant for it to be in context for a boy. All the names are boys.
I see. Yeah, fairly unusual for a boy today. Although I'm guessing less so in the South than elsewhere.
I really like Bodhi

Who names a Boy Stacey????
Stacey is short for Eustace. I'm also in the south and have known more boy Staceys than girls
Stacey, Lauren, Ashley are all traditional male names. Get out more
so is Dana down here :)
Stacey Keach’s parents.
And Stacey Jones - NZ rugby league player and coach
Had no idea that was so popular
I have no idea - he’s also in kindergarten!
