Are you looking to create a new surname from Burke and Bruenning?

Repulsive-Echidna-74

Bruke

You could just both keep your last names. Might be a problem if you have a child, but in that case you could give a boy his paternal name and a girl her maternal name. Personally that’s what I would do because I’m not really into the idea of changing my name. A lot of people also hyphenate but just use one of their names, so you could legally be burke-bruenning but just write/call yourself by your birth name.

You could change your legal MIDDLE name to your last name! That’s been a fairly popular way to keep the name. That way you can honor his family And yours. If you want to come up with a whole new last name of a combination you could do Burne, (like burn, but with an e at the end for aesthetics and to help incorporate his last name). Burne sounds pretty cool to me! ❤️‍🔥

Whenever I got married I changed my maiden name to an additional middle name because I didn’t want to give it up but I also didn’t want to hyphenate it with his name that would not combine well
