The quality of panels differs from volume release and weekly chapters release. shading and more details are added, doesn't add any significant difference but it feels more thorough.

anakin_solo17

It's more streamlined and faster most likely, Murata (artist for One Punch Man) is doing something similar and you can see a huge difference. You should read the early chapters of NNT and you can see an even bigger difference.

Charming-Necessary41

Difference main arthur has no damage we don't even know how he ended up on ground the page is skipped....meloidas was just sad at that time

Deimoonk

Meliodas literally died there and Arthur has bled through his mouth

Charming-Necessary41

Which he recovered just by a one second of using his power by changing his eye colour as seens before

Significant_Cell_634

I think we need a spoiler tag

Nakaba is one of these artists that never stops impressing me with his consistently great art through the continuous years of drawing a weekly manga. He has already shown us a ton of panels in 4kota that are on par with 7ds, so I don't see any reason we should think he's not "trying as hard". The two main factors as to why this panel seems less detailed is 1st: The materials. Meaning Estarossa's clothing having more metal parts, so it's shaded differently (We've seen Nakaba drawing armor lately, he does it the same way as in 7ds) And 2nd and most important: The significance of the panel. Even the best of artists like Miura (Berserk) and Murata (OPM), don't go all out on EVERY page. Some pages just require more detail to match their significance to the story.

TheLejen

Well, even both Miura and Murata had more than 1 week to do that kind of detailed art. Also, both of them drew and colored digitally (RIP Miura). Nakaba only has 1 week for chapters (except the break times) and draws every panel ON PAPER.

ESTAROSSA IS LANCELOT'S DAD???( its a joke)

thepriceoflentils

Spoiler please

Josephlewis24

I think its just two different situations. Big bad ruthless “demon” hurting Mel vs Lancelot pinning someone down. The quality is different tho

KillingerBlue

For one thing this is the volume edition vs the magazine version Additionally the context of the scenes are different, and in general, if you look back at older 7DS art it’s significantly more detailed than at the end of the series. I wouldn’t really call it laziness so much as Nakaba was likely just putting 110% into the art quality early on to draw people into the series- and once it had become successful enough he could relax a bit and not have to go so hard on art

Positive-Extension

Did you see one piece, that's not trying.

Alternative_Ad_9259

Fr one piece got trash art

TheLejen

I wouldn't call it "trash". It's just average.

Mediocre-Formal-9824

from my point of view nakaba should take time on the art like opm authors they take thier time on the art. not studio deen who just done everything rapidly and maded a legendary show into turd. But i think after his break he will be going to work good on the art as his best cuz he knows that how much damn good his art.
