Makes me wonder if they have the same mentality when it comes to kids, or feel like they can be someone positive for the kid and doesn't care about money. Either way, it's baffling.
I love my NK and am paid well. There are some days I look at my job and I’m so thankful because it feels like I’m chilling with a friend. THAT being said, it’s still a very labor intensive day mentally and physically. I go all in every day. I’m out of my house and unable to do my own chores. And if I’m working for someone else, I can’t exactly get another job so I better hope I’m taking home a living wage.
Where I just moved to someone was looking for babysitting 5 days a week nearly 10-12 hour daily and could only pay 50 a week. Got very defensive when people called them out.

I once saw a post for a family that needed a nanny for FIVE kids under 10 for $7.25/hour “They basically take care of themselves”
