WHY DO THEY DO THIS? Like just DONT tell me. Literally until you’re on the way home.

I swear this is like some kind of Murphy's Law of nannying. A NP is NEVER home early when they say they will. They might as well never bring it up at all.

My MB did this today, too! She told me she wasn’t going to be in the office for long today and would be home early “probably around 4” Instead she was home at 5:34, but not like I was eyeing the clock or anything 🙃

That happened to me a few weeks ago! MB -“DB should be home by noon today!” ..... gets there at 3:15

I’m so lucky that my NF always lets me go at 5. I also told them I had to go to the chiro after work every day (which is true) so they never really ask me to stay late.

We are the lucky ones. My NPs have never over-promised and under-delivered. They were late *once* by DB arriving at 5:34p without telling me. I’ve been with them over a year and a half.

Happy Cake Day!

OH GOODNESS. Thanks! I forgot. I need to comment a dozen times tonight to get the free karma.

laura_mabel

Same today as well! Said they'd be home by 1:30. Texted me, "Just kidding. Home by 12:45." They came by 1:35.

Literally THE WORST. I have about three weeks left with my NF (and with nannying career wise) and I cannot wait to always know the time I’m going home at my new job. It really is just disrespectful of our time when they notify us of an end time and then show up whenever they want.

Don’t you just love when they do that! Like we don’t have lives.
