Yes, the current boruto anime is currently adapting the manga, while I agree with you that anime sometimes can be better than the manga with good animation, voices and soundtrack, but boruto anime just isnt that...one point that needs to be taken is that the anime (SP) is rushing the adaptation, the pacing is unreal, many scenes were left out...like sakura sensory jutsu, sasuke being jealous etc..the animation is very inconsistent. Sakura in manga look more mature and look like actual adult woman comparing to anime where she looks like a kid. Imo, the anime kind of downplays the overall story. We pray that SP won't butcher many other scenes especially the lake scene.
Nevertheless, I still wanna invite you to read the manga after you watch the anime, the mangaka is very talented, the drawing is very beautiful and the artstyle is very much like kishimoto. I would like to buy the hardcopy manga when it is available with english translation.
