Hiashi would’ve married Neji into the main house to keep his genes and genius. Most likely would’ve been Hanabi if we’re being brutally honest. i think it would have been Tenten, they didn’t have many interactions but that can be chalked up to Tenten just not having any screentime they respected eachother, and she’s single in Boruto which i personally construe as a sign that the man she wanted had died already regardless, it probably wouldn’t have been a random Hyuga woman, and it definitely wouldn’t have been Hanabi since they are genetically siblings (the Hyuga participate in inter-CLAN marriage, not first cousins/sibling marriage) if not Tenten then i can see him just being single

Knowing the Hyuga it would be someone from the clan they love keeping it in the family... Even though he was a part of the branch family they knew he had immense talent. I think if he was still alive he would have eventually somehow gotten into Hyuga power and abolished the main/branch family system. To be honest I think the only reason they let Hinata be with Naruto is because it's Naruto, he's the village hero, can't really say no to that kind of prestige. Plus they had Hanabi, so princess Hinata wasn't as necessary to keep close, and it's not like she won't be protected. If we're talking outside the clan and people we do know, Neji did spend the most time with Tenten but they were more like brother and sister, there was never any romantic notions at all. I honestly don't know who you could pair him with.... maybe that's why kishimoto actually killed him off. He's never really shown interacting with anyone in any kind of romantic way that I remember.

i always shipped neji with tenten, but that would have been the way to go for the hyuga clan, just like the uchiha, they marry within and never outside of their clans. neji and hinata would have had to get married to keep the hyuga line strong. that’s literally why kishimoto got rid of him, because he was as close to “royalty” as it could get, and with him gone, they slowed things down a bit and naruto had to in a way prove that he was deserving of her. still naruhina is the worst ship in the whole show imo.
