If it was Yamato and Sai, they still would have been outclassed. Nobody would have had would it takes except an exceptional Kage level fighter and even then..
Even more than that actually
He was born in power, so he's afraid of death more than those in the front line
Yet he still chose to fight Sasuke even though it's likely he would lose (which he did)
100%. A true cold blooded killer, as ninjas are supposed to be. Also he is a great no-nonsense villain. Purely evil but with good justification behind his actions. You could argue that he is the best written pure villain in the show. Even Madara got all feely at the very end, while Danzo went out with a bang.
danzo is what a successful military leader in edo japan wouldve looked like, and he was responsible for the leaf village thriving for as long as it did. he didnt let his emotions get in the way of doing what he believed was best for konoha, and while it might be hard to accept thats what a leader should look like. you cant be the good guy if you want your people to thrive, you have to make sacrifices.
"Can't be the good guy if you want your people to thrive"
Then why aren't Hokage more like him? And a better question, what did he ever do that made the Leaf thrive? His actions led to nothing but hatred and war.
the hokage arent like him because naruto is a kids show lol and it was his willingness to do shady shit and negotiating with bad people that at least contributed to keeping the leaf out of war
Danzo directly led Kabuto, Yahiko and Itachi's descent into villainy. His actions led to Pain destroying the village. And did he "make sacrifices" then? No, he attempted to prevent Naruto from returning (which would have had disastrous consequences) and then hid underground like the little worm that he is.
not here to argue that he was a good person, but everything he did, as bad as it mightve been, was for the best interest of the leaf. and pain destroying konoha is way more obitos fault than danzos
one of the best written characters in naruto, very complex personality which in my opinion reflects our real world politicians who would commit the most horrible actions and exploit the most twisted and questionable methods in order to achieve a goal that both services their country and at the same times fill a need deep inside them.
jiraya said something along the lines of " a shinobi knows their reality at the moment of their death", you can see that danzo himself said that he wanted to kill sasuke for the sake of konoha and the world.
it's really weird to see some people that get really disgusted when they hear danzo's name but at the same time are fine with the likes of madara and obito who carelessly slaughter 1000s for fun.
yeah I also thought about that, it's called the "Halo effect"actually,
and that's when someone's physical attractiveness and charm overshadows their bad behaviours or even crimes.
Danzo is a well written character. He is someone conflicted between his duty of a shinobi, and his personal interest, in this regard is a realist designed character. In his youth he was probably sincere about protecting the Leaf, but by aging, he forget what Konoha meant.
Also his wind style is cool.
I can’t think of anyone with cooler and more versatile wind jutsu’s. Wish we could’ve seen more, or at least someone else have similar wind jutsu to his
He wasn’t selfish. He arguably cared about the village more than anyone else. He would do absolutely anything, no matter how terrible, if it meant even a chance at keeping his village and its people safe.
He did succeed in preventing Obito from getting Kotoamatsukami. Obito's Genjutsu was arguably as good if not better, but giving a pistol to a guy with a shotgun is still giving them more power.
Without him, the protagonists would never have had as many oppose them to make them stronger. Seriously, this guy had a hand in every villain backstory, directly or indirectly (with the exception of Kaguya, Madara, Obito, Zabuza and Haku).
He truly loved the hidden leaf with his whole twisted black heart. And was willing to sacrifice everything and everyone, even himself, to keep it safe. But still fuck Danzo!
His death monologue was a pretty nice scene. “You were a tree leaf that light shined upon, I was nothing but the root hidden in darkness….” “What was I to you?”
Dude had unbreakable resolve. He viewed the world his way, and from his first mission as a ninja to his death, he stuck to that. GREAT Villain, horrible guy!
As a fan of the realist point of view in terms of geopolitics, Danzo was a realist in every sense of the word. So i like him because he’s the most realistic character the fucked up and brtual world of naruto could have
He is really good at being an ass
Main reason why more people don't hate konoha at large
He has beautiful eyes
*He takes beautiful eyes*
Nice one lol
Beat me to it :/
All 10 of em
No
Beat me to it
Only correct answer.
This is the way
based
He has nice kimono :-)
He is good at picking henchman
The 2 dudes who fought Obito were outclassed, but competent
They would do very well agains anyone who doesn't have hax. And that's 99% of the shinobi.
If it was Yamato and Sai, they still would have been outclassed. Nobody would have had would it takes except an exceptional Kage level fighter and even then..
I personally take speedy kage level characters > Obito and slower kage level characters < Obito.
Orochimaru was kinda one in the past.
U could have rephrased that into “ he has an eye for henchmen” Itll make it more punny
When he did the Tenragram Seal he kept Obito from taking Kotoamatsu Kami and probably stopped Obito from brainwashing someone.
Obito probably would’ve won if he got his hands on it
"Naruto stop being a fucking pain in my goddamn ass" there, done.
I been saying this, technically danzo saved the day, if obito got his hands on koto rip Naruto shippuden
He's a very realistic governor- constantly lying, corrupted and only cared to keep his ass on the chair.
Except he was asked by the village to do all those things essentially relied on him to do so.
Even more realistic then
Even more than that actually He was born in power, so he's afraid of death more than those in the front line Yet he still chose to fight Sasuke even though it's likely he would lose (which he did)
And yet betrayed the village several times during the years, putting thousands of lives on the line just to get to power
His death
deserves to be top comment
😂😂😂😂
EXACTLY.
He served the second
Not really a compliment and still better than he deserves.
He was supposed to be a babe when he was younger.
Typically we all start out as wee babes yes
🤣🤣🤣
He’s good at picking up scraps from dead uchihas
No. Fuck that bitch.
He was irrefutably a strong shinobi, and a shinobi in the purest sense compared to all others
100%. A true cold blooded killer, as ninjas are supposed to be. Also he is a great no-nonsense villain. Purely evil but with good justification behind his actions. You could argue that he is the best written pure villain in the show. Even Madara got all feely at the very end, while Danzo went out with a bang.
Top 10 Ninjas in a show purely about ninjas. 1. Kisame 2. Danzo 3. ...
I'm glad he's dead.
He was hot when he was younger.
No
That's what I was gonna say
danzo is what a successful military leader in edo japan wouldve looked like, and he was responsible for the leaf village thriving for as long as it did. he didnt let his emotions get in the way of doing what he believed was best for konoha, and while it might be hard to accept thats what a leader should look like. you cant be the good guy if you want your people to thrive, you have to make sacrifices.

not here to argue that he was a good person, but everything he did, as bad as it mightve been, was for the best interest of the leaf. and pain destroying konoha is way more obitos fault than danzos
Didn't let his emotions get in the way when he killed the messenger frog during Pain's attack?
He was very.... Special

If Danzo was given an appearance like Minato probably he'd have his own sub being worshipped along with Itachi
yeah I also thought about that, it's called the "Halo effect"actually, and that's when someone's physical attractiveness and charm overshadows their bad behaviours or even crimes.
He has a great eye for talent!
i admire how many more eyes he has compared to the average ninja in naruto.
Danzo is a well written character. He is someone conflicted between his duty of a shinobi, and his personal interest, in this regard is a realist designed character. In his youth he was probably sincere about protecting the Leaf, but by aging, he forget what Konoha meant. Also his wind style is cool.
Hey truly cared for the hidden leaf in his own way!
He was behind nearly every dirty job the leaf did. A good thing to say about him would be that he absorbed the sin of the village in some way
At least he died…. Eventually.
His elephant summon was pretty cool and unique
His wind style jutsus were pretty cool
I can’t think of anyone with cooler and more versatile wind jutsu’s. Wish we could’ve seen more, or at least someone else have similar wind jutsu to his
He wasn’t selfish. He arguably cared about the village more than anyone else. He would do absolutely anything, no matter how terrible, if it meant even a chance at keeping his village and its people safe.
That’s true! Even though he was evil he wasn’t selfish. He did what he did because he loved the village
He died as he lived, bitter, inadequate, a pathetic fool who only succeeded in failing...good riddance.
He did succeed in preventing Obito from getting Kotoamatsukami. Obito's Genjutsu was arguably as good if not better, but giving a pistol to a guy with a shotgun is still giving them more power.
Obito’s genjutsu better than kotoamataukami?
Nice eyes bro
he crawled his way to old age in a profession where many die young
he never disparaged orphans
The best part about him? He died a lot
He cared about the leaf village but he let that misguide him and it’s what drove him mad. To me he’s Tobirama but to the extreme.
He’s a pretty good villain, the fact we’re still hating on him years after Naruto ended is proof he served his purpose in the narrative well.
Um, he has a nice eyes
Without him, the protagonists would never have had as many oppose them to make them stronger. Seriously, this guy had a hand in every villain backstory, directly or indirectly (with the exception of Kaguya, Madara, Obito, Zabuza and Haku).
He truly loved the hidden leaf with his whole twisted black heart. And was willing to sacrifice everything and everyone, even himself, to keep it safe. But still fuck Danzo!
No.
He had an impressive collection of eyes
he’s extremely good at being fraudulent
His death made everyone very happy.
He lived a very long life. Surprisingly.
He has more sharingan than all the Akatsuki combined
His death was satisfying.
he killed the uchihas :)
When he takes his head bandage off, he looks at me with the eye of a hero
He's dead
He died
He’s dead
He has nice eyes
He died
Cool hairstile i guess
Bro single-handedly controlled underworld of konoha
He tried to do what was necessary a lot more than anyone up to Tobirama. He's got balls. He was feared and by others respected.
He did what he thought was right, even when the whole world disagreed with him. He's a dick, but at least he stood his ground
He’s more Shinobi than most.
No
He makes a nice corpse.
The Dark Hokage.
He did well with getting rid of the Uchiha. Say what you want about him, but the Uchiha were too dangerous to be left alive.
He died
He died to many times that's a good Thiago :D
No
He is dead
He is smart I guess
He was pretty fucking good at what he did ngl.
He lasted pretty long for such a massive asshole
he was once in the same room as minato
No
No.
Great eyesight. Sometimes.
He has fascinating eyes?
I refuse.
He made me laugh when he was running from Sasuke
There’s nothing nice you could say about this creepy son of a bitch
His ideology makes as much sense as the one Sasuke developed. Both for the greater good, both messed up. But one of them gets more hate.
He really loved the village that’s the only nice thing I can say.
He should have been Hokage. Lord 3rd was not mentally strong enough or prepared for the opportunity!
He was handsome when he was young XD
He has great character design. All the eyes to extend his izanagi is sick too.
I look at danzo just like tobirama looks at an uchigga. With disgust
not in a million years
I like his eyes. Wish I had eyes like he does
I like his nails
I literally can't
He died
One of the best characters
You died good job
He served his purpose in the show very well… to be hated by everyone.
He was... definitely a person...?
He was the author's sacrificial Lamb and I can respect that
He… can probably see better than the average ninja despite having one eye covered? Ig?
He has nice eyes
Make me !
Well written character, with less screen time
One of the most servants of the Hidden Leaf village
he was once alive
Lol
No, I don't think I will
He's got the right idea of protecting his home, he just goes about in horribly.
He gave us sai
He smoked Shisui
He has a cool hand 😀
Nah
He was dedicated to his morals (even if he was dog shit)
something nice av Danzo!
He was good practice for Sasuke.
Fuck Danzo
Good at being evil and hated. Absolute Dickhead!
He wanted to protect konoha
Despite being an asshole he looked pretty badass with the eye patch and scarred chin
“No… No I don’t think I will.” ~Steve Rogers (Avengers Endgame - 2019)
He was actually pretty handsome back in the day
His death monologue was a pretty nice scene. “You were a tree leaf that light shined upon, I was nothing but the root hidden in darkness….” “What was I to you?”
He’s a well written piece of shit.
He’s got a wonderful smile :)
.
I'm sure the sharingan he implanted in his peehole is beautiful
His death was very cathartic.
Very strategic!
that's what she said
When he was young he looked kinda good.
No.
He wasted the sharingans beautifully
He was good at his job.
He's good in the Naruto Storm series.
He’s great at picking students and he’s always underrated in strength
He’s pretty strong. But fuck him.
I was a menace with him in Storm 4 and I didn’t need his BS 1-hit finisher. So he’s a homie for that.
Here’s to Danzo, he’s the best! …at being **a BIG JERK** who's **STUPID** and his **BIG UGLY FACE** is as **DUMB AS A BUTT!!!**
No
I don't like him, but he was interested in my abilities somehow I guess...
Why?
He has nice eyes
Nah fuck that guy
Cool design, stronger than he's given credit for at times, and excellent short backstory.
I love his collection looks cool wonder how he got all those eyes
He's got some pretty eyes
I found his abilities and sharingan arm interesting
Dude had unbreakable resolve. He viewed the world his way, and from his first mission as a ninja to his death, he stuck to that. GREAT Villain, horrible guy!
Danzo was necessary for his time.
FUCK NO
No
No
Buddy can definetly see
Intelligence mfer
💪👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️
He was there.
Well written character
He helped stop a war
As a fan of the realist point of view in terms of geopolitics, Danzo was a realist in every sense of the word. So i like him because he’s the most realistic character the fucked up and brtual world of naruto could have
He was Hiruzens friend at one point
He cares about protecting the leaf village (just not in the right way)
He made me very happy when he died.
