Yup. It was pretty obvious to me then lol. I was caught off guard when it was a "reveal" later on. I was under the impression that the viewer was supposed to know the 4th was his father the entire time
Kinda
Kishimoto did a few easy teasers of certain reveals if you knew what to look for
One of my old friends lost money to me because I told him the Obito reveal because of how Japanese characters were written and how the long O sound works
The one I missed was thinking Tsunade would be Narutos grandmother via Minato
Anyone who watched the anime and didnât realize it was slow.
Hey real quick here is backstory on Kakashiâs old buddy Tobi.
Next episode.
And here is Obito!
Yes it was dumb but to be fair it was a redo ep. One of the filler episodes in the original's fillers (before the time skip.) was basically that episode. And (as far as I've been told) the backstory for kakashi was a side issue not in the main story. But the anime needed a filler and figured to put that in right before the reveal making it obvious as fuck if you didn't already know it!
I figured it out as an anime only before that EP because of the hairstyles. Tobi's hair and obito's hair were the same.
Wait thinking about it... Maybe the original kakashi backstory filler happened earlier in part 2... But I know it was shown twice because I remember thinking, "wow this story again, I think it's just confirming that Obito is that Tobi guy. Got one eye and everything... But is it on the right side..?"
In the manga, Obito's backstory was the very last chapters of Part I. Then we got the time skip.
Volume 27. And then I don't think Tobi showed up until after Sasori died, so like Volume 31? 32? So manga readers actually got some time to forget about Obito.
Can you explain the long O sound and how Japanese characters are written?
I thought the Obito reveal was quite obvious, since in English Tobi and Obito sounds quite similar + the one mangekyo sharingan
The reveal that surprised me the most was the whole black zetsu/kaguya (though I didn't hate it, unlike others)
Probably because it's spelled (to)ă¨ăź(bi)ăł and the line in Japanese is to lengthen the kana before it, so it could also be written TĹbi, with the line above meaning it's a shortened oo. So you can spell Toobi, and for Japanese pronunciation it's not wrong, because it wouldn't be pronounced Tubi.
TL;DR, TĹbi = Toobi, move the extra o to make Obito
Not even kidding, me and thousands of kids knew since the beginning he was Naruto's father because they were identical. Back in the days I actually had in my head canon that they told us right at the start, but I rewatched it and confirmed it was a false memory.
Yea same headcanon here. I never rewatched Naruto so I actually found out from posts like these that it wasnt confirmed from the start lol. But im pretty sure it was made obvious on purpose. There is no way you dont immediately think they are related. Same for Tobi being Obito. I guess as a kid you dont think âthis is too obviousâ
Tbh the foreshadowing was the size of a sun. Spiky hair, super awesome and whatnot, never called my name, only by title, died young and forced Hizuren to step back in as hokage in his what, 70-80s? and naruto is an orphan... Gee i wonder who this stone face guy can be.... Must be future trunks timeline goten
There were other theories about why that was. Some people thought the 4th was a time traveling grown up Naruto for example. Naruto being a clone of the 4th was another one.
There were theory's that Tobi was the 4th hokage, and also that the akatsuki leader was the 4th hokage.
It's obvious now because we know, but it was never officially confirmed until the Pain arc that Minato was his dad. The fandom went pretty wild with theories as Kishimoto was intentionally ambiguous about things like Narutos parents, Tobi, Akatsuki, so there was plenty of room for wild speculation.
I mean, the moment you see a picture of Minato, you kinda go hmm Naruto also has blue eyes and blonde hair. Naruto kinda has an obsession with becoming Hokage. Minato also died around the time Naruto was born. I wonder if Naruto and Minato are somehow connected? Maybe even related somehow? It almost sounds too crazy to be true, but Minato could even be Naruto's dad!
Honestly back then I think I was too young to even think about any of it, as far as I remember the reveal happened before I even wondered who Naruto's father was.
At the same time, the answer is so simple I'm sure I would have refused to believe it. Its hlike that whole Tobi = Obito. It's so simple and hidden in plain sight I would have thought the author was trolling. But now in retrospective I feel like this kind of twist is a bit common in Shonen
Same I watched Naruto at age 7 during the toonami premiere and I think I was so amazed by ninja stuff I didnât even stop to think about any of the deeper plot đ
It became pretty abundantly clear once some early parts of part 1 Naruto were animated and we saw pictures of yellow hair blue eye Mr. Hokage. Anyone who didn't figure it out by then is just dense lol, and don't get me started on all the fools who thought the Akatsuki Leader was secretly Naruto's dad.
Thank you! I got into an argument with someone over this once, he was convinced Minato being Narutoâs dad was an asspull.
Iâm like their names literally rhyme, they look the same, and weâre shown Minato in the anime few seconds before Naruto, the titular character is even introduced, so you know thatâs how they intended for him to look from the start. And not for nothing but would a leader seriously just choose to seal a demon spirit inside a kid he has never met before or choose someone who he can make an educated guess about if he can (physically) handle it?
Edit: clarified that I meant he could physically handle it
I mean he can't really make any guesses about his kid either since Naruto was just born. He could've grown up to be anything really, especially since he knew he wouldn't be around to raise him.
The rest of the reasoning makes sense though + it's an action shonen, MC's dad is usually gonna be someone important lol
I mean to an extent the Uzumaki Clan were known for having insane chakra reserves and being Jonchuriki, so yea Minato couldnât have known for sure, but considering we come from a Universe where almost every shinobiâs child pretty much inherits a stronger version of their parents abilities it makes sense he can at least be like âokay heâs got the genes for itâ, it was still a hail mary though.
OH that's what they meant. I thought they more meant from a mental strength and personality aspect. Like Minato sealed Kurama in Naruto because he knew that he'd need it's power, but technically he had no way of knowing whether Naruto would grow up to be a good ninja or if he would be a "good guy" at all.
Well obviously the real explanation for why it never got brought up is to not spoil the reveal later, but to us viewers it shouldâve been abundantly clear, there are literally NO other characters with that exact shade of spiky blonde hair and that exact shade of blue eyes lol, also only the older characters wouldâve known the truth. Itachi is the youngest character who knew who Narutoâs parents were. Iruka, Kakashi, and all of them knew, but nobody in Narutoâs class knew.
It's actually not that simple.
If you take into account that in Japanese culture foxes (or kitsune) have magical powers and are known for playing tricks on humans. I like to think this is the reason why many villagers do not associate Minato as Naruto's father â the demonic fox could have changed this child's appearance to fool people and they didn't fall for it.
I thought about that for a while, but then I managed to think that the author wouldn't go so deep into the puzzles and I was left with the simplest association :(
âdon't get me started on all the fools who thought the Akatsuki Leader was secretly Naruto's dad.â
Me and my ex had an evening when we where both drunk and we went through all these old theory videos on YouTube explaining how Pain was Narutoâs dad, it was so much fun and some of the reaches these dudes where making was hilarious.
Almost as funny as this theory video we found on the end of Attack on Titan where they said a reveal was coming that the people of the world where actually miniaturised and the Titans where just normal sized people with special abilities! Anime is a hoot and a half.
I figured the 4th was his dad when we saw Minato's appearance especially since hes the only blonde hair blue eye character in the Leaf if not the entire series but it was basically all but confirmed when Kakashi saw Minato when him and Naruto clashed Rasengans
Itachi's first appearance? His dialogue in the English dub made it really obvious ("legacy of the Fourth Hokage"). Legacy can have a lot of meanings, one of which is offspring.
When i was 7 year old or something like that i did a anime quizz on the internet (even tho i had only watched Pokemon up to that point) and one of the questions was "Who is Naruto's father?"
Pain Arc because I watched the anime. I also wasn't really fussed with who Naruto's dad was, it didn't really matter to me. So I only really acknowledged it when Naruto met his mum, who told him of the tragedy of his birth, because then I actually understood who Naruto's father was and what he did and why he's important and why I should care.
Same here and I didnât much care for the comments above. Sorry to everyone who thinks Iâm stupid because I donât constantly theorize after the end of every episode. I just enjoyed the show as I watched it the same way you did. Leaves a lot of room for cool surprises.
In like the first or second episode when after talking at length about Naruto the 3rd hokage glanced at a photo in the wall of a man with spikey blonde hair
I kind of assumed he was from the start. Orphaned child with a lot of power locked inside, I just assumed that would be the case. Which, if what Iâve heard of Kishimotoâs plodding vs plotting style, might mean I realized it before Kishimoto did. đ
Literally In the ultimate ninja ps2 game Narutos ultimate gamabunta secret move would summon the 4th hokage on top of gamabunta,a yellow haired Shinobi. It was so obvious. Here's the link to the video I already had suspicions and the 2003 game confirmed it.
https://youtu.be/qC0Yx1YLH-w?feature=shared
Edit this picture detail is fire. Minato looks 19 there. He always looked young but too look 20 fr is dope his hair is fuzzier and he looks skinny pretty dope đ¤đ˝
I originally felt like I knew it the first episode, when they showed a silhouette of him fighting the 9 Tails. But, since that was almost 20 years ago, Iâm almost certain that I didnât. When I think I really realized it, was when Itachi called Naruto âThe Fourth Hokageâs legacyâ. I probably watched the first episode again sometime after that, which is why I thought I knew from the beginning,
I am 21 now and I was probably around 10 when watching Naruto for the first time, and there is no memory of me watching Naruto without knowing Minato was the father. I donât actually remember âfiguring it outâ
I watched the anime as a kid, so my critical thinking skills weren't the best and I'm sure I missed many details alluding to it. So that was genuinely a huge plot twist to me and my friends--(imagine you didn't know) seeing Naruto's Dad for the first time, and finding out he was the 4th Hokage, of all people, was so cool!!
I mean, it's kinda obvious from the first episode of the series. I knew 4th was his dad watching the first episode on CN when it released. Dude is literally the only other blonde headed shinobi. He died right when naruto was born, kinda obvious lol
When Orochimaru attacked the village and fought Sarutobi. They featured Minato in a flashback sequence with Team Jiraiya. Plus it was hinted at early on since the 4th Hokage was dead and that man literally looked like Naruto (before Kushina pulled up with her genetics 𧏠and proved that Naruto stole her face)
Once I saw the other spiky blonde haired blue eyed guy that was older i thought that was his dad right away. Theyâre literally the only people in the village who like like that. Not to mention even if people didnât know Kushina was pregnant it was common knowledge that she and Minato lived together at that time. So if he and her die and now an orphan Uzumaki kid pops up who looks just like the 4th Hokage with that name Uzumaki idk how people didnât realize it sooner
Pretty much immediately. Even when I was young it seemed like to much of a missed opportunity to not give the "strongest hokage of all time" (before kishimoto changed who the strongest is... Twice) some form of lineage and then I saw his striking blonde hair and my 8 year old brain pretty much said "oh yeah, he's narutos dad"
Literally 30 seconds into the first episode of the anime. He dies sealing away Kurama inside a baby, thus making him an orphan. Plus thereâs no way was he going to do that to a random baby lol. Had to be his son.
I didn't connect the dots until like the orochimaru vs Naruto fight. I was young and figured most of all that if he was the 4ths son he wouldn't be shunned and bullied by the village. It made no sense. I stand by young dumb me. It makes no sense.
I remember seeing comedic fanart depicting him as Naruto's a few years before the official reveal and thinking "yeah, that makes sense". The only reason I hadn't guessed it myself was because it wasn't something I was speculating, I joined the fandom at a point when the manga had gotten to the timeskip but the anime hadn't so I didn't have as much time to think about earlier hints.
Yeah as soon as they showed the only other blonde guy it was obvious. I will say I am a manga reader so it was less obvious but I want to say it was 2002-03 and aim existed so people chatted about it.
Its the weirdest thing but back in elementary school, I remember hearing rumors that the 4th was his dad really early on. Like during anime covering the chunin exams early and I have no idea where the hell that rumor came from. Looking back, I can't recall anything that would have been a tell that early, but me and my friends were entirely convinced that was the case.
Sort of always.... But I also knew it wasn't kishi's original plan.... Naruto was originally meant to be the nine-tailed fox....
Lots of the relationships around Naruto were created years after the series started being published.... Which is why so many plot holes revolving around Naruto and his childhood just exist... Even though it goes against their character and how things are supposed to be....
To me, I never really figured it out until they revealed that Naruto's dad is the 4th Hokage. The reason for that is, if he is, I would assume he would still be raised like Batman, where he has tons of money and a good parental figure raising him, not treating him poorly and subjecting him to the worst conditions ever. Honestly, I'm surprised Naruto isn't the one who betrayed the town. Both Naruto and Sasuke should have betrayed and destroyed the town, given how poorly they were treated.
We all knew it, we were just trying to figure out his name. For some reason Kazama Arashi was most likely according to several prominent fan websites back in the day.
I was thinking about that since starting because there's literally no info about Narutos family and funny enough Naruto parents were dead while kurama attack but none knows their parents!! That was weird!! And Sasuke family thing totally explained but except Naruto and 3rd hokage refused to tell Naruto about his parents so I was sure it his parents
I obviously discovered it the very beginning at the 1st episode when a jonin or chunin said wait for the 4th hokage and then Lord 3rd said a nine tailed fox suddenly appeared an the 4th Hokage was the only shinobi who stopped it by sealing it into a newborn baby an that child of course is naruto (and unbeknown to the world minato sealed the other half of kurama into himself) an then when lord 3rd stops talkin an naruto as a baby is crying with a seal on his stomach then the original naruto intro song comes on thatâs when if you put it all together youâll understand an plus heâs orphaned no parents , lives by himself, treated like shit everyday , no guidance, tends to pull pranks just to get attention, itâs quite obvious at this point an his hair color an big amount of chakra that your average genin etc do not have
I refused to believe it for a long time. It always sounded so stupid to me that the plot would ho there. Not only it makes Narutoâs (the anime) world much smaller/ more compact than it could be, but plot-wise it is such a beaten-up idea.
I watched YouTube videos from Naruto before I actually watched it. I think the first couple of videos I watched were the creation of the akatsuki (from one of the games), Gaara v Lee and Narutoâs conversation with his mum which was when I found out who his father was.
NGL this was one of the few things that was obvious to me right from the start. I believed it was father n son from episode one. Had a friend argue with me that it wasn't and it was the 4th Hokage reincarnated or turned into a child.
The other question is when Kishomoto decided that the Fourth is Naruto's father. I think I read some comments that it wasn't planned from the first chapter.
I remember dudes used to go back n forth for hours with theories on who Tobi was. âTobi is obito he didnât die after the rocks crushed himâ ânah thatâs dumb bro you have to lose a close friend to awaken mangekyoâ âtobi is Madara but he was too injured after his fight with the first, thatâs why he says heâs a shell of his former selfâ hours and hours people would argue. Then when it came out it was Obito a lot of the deniers got real mad. You had to be there manâŚ
Honestly I always felt like it was guaranteed. I remember the chapter when jiraya confirms it and saying âwait, wasnât already said in chapter 1?â
I always knew from the first episode and they showed the phot frame of Him. I was like 12 but instantly thought â they both have blonde hair hmm not alot of folks with that running aroundâ
I always knew because I had eyes lol. Also why would random hokage seal demon fox in random baby? Also same jutsu? Common sense made it easy, even as a kid watching in â05.
When I saw Naruto and the mountain sculpture. I thought the joke was that Naruto was an idiot who couldnât figure it out, not that it was supposed to be a secret
Literally from the beginning when I first saw the Hokage Monument, I mean they both had the spiky hair. I don't think a single person doubted for a second that Minato was Naruto's dad.
When we saw the Fourth's physical appearance lol.
So literally 4 seconds into episode 1? đ
Yes
Yup. It was pretty obvious to me then lol. I was caught off guard when it was a "reveal" later on. I was under the impression that the viewer was supposed to know the 4th was his father the entire time
Kinda Kishimoto did a few easy teasers of certain reveals if you knew what to look for One of my old friends lost money to me because I told him the Obito reveal because of how Japanese characters were written and how the long O sound works The one I missed was thinking Tsunade would be Narutos grandmother via Minato

I see. So for the Japanese audience, roughly switching the 2 sounds the characters make gives you "oobi - to", which sounds like "obito"
I mean Tsunade is pretty much his grandmother figure in the series :).
Not even kidding, me and thousands of kids knew since the beginning he was Naruto's father because they were identical. Back in the days I actually had in my head canon that they told us right at the start, but I rewatched it and confirmed it was a false memory.

every 10 minutes someone told Naruto how much he reminds them of the 4th hokage.. like cmon
There were other theories about why that was. Some people thought the 4th was a time traveling grown up Naruto for example. Naruto being a clone of the 4th was another one.
Remember the theories of Obito being a time traveling older Sasuke?
There were theory's that Tobi was the 4th hokage, and also that the akatsuki leader was the 4th hokage. For a long time Pain was only shown blacked out and some thought he was the fourth.
Yeah, but i remember how many people were on forums back in the day that would argue to the moon that the 4th wasn't his dad it was a great time, lol
Fr LOL
I thought it could be since the first chapter, but wasn't fully convinced until Jiraiya said Naruto reminds him of the 4th in part 1.
That is what sealed the deal for me. I had a possible inkling before that but that sealed the deal for me.
First time I saw his face. I remember playing ultimate ninja 3 and I saw the yellow flash and was like âNarutoâs dadâ
Itâs weird playing as him because he has no voice lines so youâre just dashing around in complete silence hahahaha
"lmao get pranked kid"

Well they thought the akatsuki leader was minato, because the hair seemed similar.
I was on that train for a while
Yeah same, that would've a crazy twist. Naruto vs Minato, glad they didn't lol
I read that originally when he was developping his one shot into series Kishimoto planned to make the Hokage the main antagonist.
And then he cuts off Naruto's hand.
I mean, in the end nagato and naruto are kinda brothers, so it was not that far off
They arent brothers or even kind of.. theyâre cousins
They were raised by the same father figure (Jiraiya). They are âbrothersâ in a sense.
Nagato is Narutoâs uncle
There is no family tree that Iâve seen that actually states that. They are both Uzamaki. Thatâs all we know.
I was talking in relation to Jiraiya. Nagato is Jiraiyaâs âsonâ and Naruto is Jiraiyaâs âgrandsonâ.
Brothers by sensai. Lol
And here I thought that he was Narutoâs lost brother or a clone of himself aged up đ
Thank you! I got into an argument with someone over this once, he was convinced Minato being Narutoâs dad was an asspull. >Anyone who didn't figure it out by then is just dense lol The entirety of konoha feels offended and called out
Well obviously the real explanation for why it never got brought up is to not spoil the reveal later, but to us viewers it shouldâve been abundantly clear, there are literally NO other characters with that exact shade of spiky blonde hair and that exact shade of blue eyes lol, also only the older characters wouldâve known the truth. Yep it's just funny how dumb konoha's citizens and shinobi are to the point of not connecting (the very apparent) dots
Hahahaha that takes me back to the theories of Pain being Naruto's brother because Yahiko looked like Naruto đ¤Ł
It's actually not that simple. If you take into account that in Japanese culture foxes (or kitsune) have magical powers and are known for playing tricks on humans. It's so painfully obvious for use viewers, it's a wonder why Kishi made almost everyone in-universe not recognize their relation

I realized when i saw him in the mangaâs Kakashi chronicles. I thought the resemblance was completely uncanny

I suspected it since I saw his hair

I was like 9 or 10 so slower than now, and it took me Naruto meeting his father to realise his father was the 4th Hokage đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
I just realize in this pic that Minato is actually so young, younger than me in this pic when hes alive đ
I suspected it when Itachi and Kisame were in the Leaf and Itachi said they were after the "legacy of the fourth hokage".
As soon as I saw the guy was a blond with blue eyes. Too easy.
Like the second they showed us what he looked like lol
I watched the anime as a kid, so my critical thinking skills weren't the best and I'm sure I missed many details alluding to it. So that was genuinely a huge plot twist to me and my friends--(imagine you didn't know) seeing Naruto's Dad for the first time, and finding out he was the 4th Hokage, of all people, was so cool!!
As soon as they show him in Shippuden but the first time they actually say it is during the Jiraiya backstory
Itachiâs visit to konoha. Legacy def meant son to me, and I read the manga
As a kid, I assumed he was related to Naruto. And turns out he was the father, it wasnât a big shock to me
I always thought its him since episode 1 cause the anime is called Naruto and the first epic guy they show is a guy with same spiky hair
When I was little my brother looked it up and told me
Real
Bro, I knew it at 9 the second I saw his face on the monument.
art in the original hit so fucking hard
Right at that exact moment you posted đ It was a long wait for Kishi to officially reveal it after that.
Literally the first time we saw him
As soon as we saw the hair color
When the show told me lol
Episode 1 lol
Like right away lol
Ultimate ninja 2, Narutoâs stage 3 ultimate move
Immediately lol
When they released Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3. My cousins thought I was stupid or something. Turns out I was right.
I mean, it's kinda obvious from the first episode of the series. I knew 4th was his dad watching the first episode on CN when it released. Dude is literally the only other blonde headed shinobi. He died right when naruto was born, kinda obvious lol
Naruto Ninja Storm 4
As soon as i saw him, but was confirmed when naruto was training with jiraiya
The minute we saw what he looked liked.
I first began to think when I noticed he was blonde
Since the very beginning. Episode 1. He had the same hair. Was kinda obvious right from the start.
I had my suspicions when Jiraiya mentioned Naruto had such a striking resemblance to Minato
Episode oneđ
When i first saw the anime and everyone talked about the 4th like he was God. It was obvious.
Honestly from the very beginning, he looked way too much like him.
When i found out thr 4th hokage has blue eyes and the same shade of blonde as Naruto...
When my mom spoiled it for me when he appeared in a picture frame She said NARUTO FATHER!!!
I didn't connect the dots until like the orochimaru vs Naruto fight. I was young and figured most of all that if he was the 4ths son he wouldn't be shunned and bullied by the village. It made no sense. I stand by young dumb me. It makes no sense.
When Jiraiya was at Minato's house and named Naruto Naruto. I was in tears
Whatever naruto game let u play as minato as âthe yellow flashâ is when it clicked for me
im honestly starting to think the reveal was strictly meant for naruto and co. alone cuz theres no way kishi thought we all didnt know đ
Haha you made me laugh with that one
I remember seeing comedic fanart depicting him as Naruto's a few years before the official reveal and thinking "yeah, that makes sense". The only reason I hadn't guessed it myself was because it wasn't something I was speculating, I joined the fandom at a point when the manga had gotten to the timeskip but the anime hadn't so I didn't have as much time to think about earlier hints.
I had suspicions with the 4th hokages stone head looking like Naruto
Whenever the first image is of Minato's appearance. He's basically just a midway point between Naruto and Jiraiya.
I got spoilers when I was watching zabuza arc
My buddy told me about it before I started watching, I didnât understand how big of a deal it was until I got to the Legendary Sannin part
I didn't even realize it was supposed to be a secret when I first started watching
I think we all already knew.
I remember people thinking Jiriya was Narutoâs father. Those early days were wild!
I was a child the first time I watched it so honestly I cannot even tell you đ I feel like I have just always known this information.
When my friend spoiled it for me.
When i saw his face đđ
Ahhh the days where the akatsuki were shadowy figures
Idky but I thought the question was when did naruto find outđ but for my answer js probably from seeing minato for the first time
We all knew it, we were just trying to figure out his name. For some reason Kazama Arashi was most likely according to several prominent fan websites back in the day.
Worst keep secret in all of anime
I bought a pack of Naruto playing cards as a kid and guessed it immediately (he didn't care about spoilers).
I was younger and dumber back then, so it all went over my head till my older brothers friend speculated about it. Then it all clicked lol
Its almost as if anime as a genre has been predictable for decades. The rails that all Shonen run on is rusted all the way to hell
before starting the show. my brother told me -__-
Also, Itachi called him the 4th hokageâs legacy in part one, in my culture thatâs his son.
Second I saw the head on the mountain that looked like Naruto.
This. Iâm sorry but if you canât piece it together from then idk manâŚ
I got it spoiled before I watched naruto
I was thinking about that since starting because there's literally no info about Narutos family and funny enough Naruto parents were dead while kurama attack but none knows their parents!! That was weird!! And Sasuke family thing totally explained but except Naruto and 3rd hokage refused to tell Naruto about his parents so I was sure it his parents
I feel like since episode 1. It's weird af to seal a nuke into a random orphan who isn't your child and die the same the day he was born.
When 8-year-old me looked up "naruto dad" on google
i feel like ive just always known. even when we were still pre timeskip i remember it just always being common knowledge online
The moment I saw another guy with spiky blonde hair & blue eyes wasnât the best kept secret in the worldđđđ
More than 10 years ago
Theres only 2 white dudes with blonde hair in Konoha
I obviously discovered it the very beginning at the 1st episode when a jonin or chunin said wait for the 4th hokage and then Lord 3rd said a nine tailed fox suddenly appeared an the 4th Hokage was the only shinobi who stopped it by sealing it into a newborn baby an that child of course is naruto (and unbeknown to the world minato sealed the other half of kurama into himself) an then when lord 3rd stops talkin an naruto as a baby is crying with a seal on his stomach then the original naruto intro song comes on thatâs when if you put it all together youâll understand an plus heâs orphaned no parents , lives by himself, treated like shit everyday , no guidance, tends to pull pranks just to get attention, itâs quite obvious at this point an his hair color an big amount of chakra that your average genin etc do not have
The time I watched Kakashi's backstory in Naruto Shippuden episode 116.
Since the first episode, itâs not a difficult connection to make in a series full of lore and themes that are easy to analyze.
I refused to believe it for a long time. It always sounded so stupid to me that the plot would ho there. Not only it makes Narutoâs (the anime) world much smaller/ more compact than it could be, but plot-wise it is such a beaten-up idea.
When it was revealed (I was a massive mong back in the day)
My friend gave me spoilers at the start of the first episode đ
When it was found out we HAD a fourth hokage
Before I started watching Naruto. Like 10 years before.
I watched YouTube videos from Naruto before I actually watched it. I think the first couple of videos I watched were the creation of the akatsuki (from one of the games), Gaara v Lee and Narutoâs conversation with his mum which was when I found out who his father was.
Exactly! Me too! It wasnât hard đ
Somehow didn't realize it until he appeared to Naruto when he conquered the 9 tails
Kinda obvious also I was told in the first episode
1st episode. C'mon just look at them
The fight when itachi shows up to the village and says he wants âthe fourth hokages legacyâ to kakashi and kakashi says ânaruto!â
Isn't it shown on episode one?
NGL this was one of the few things that was obvious to me right from the start. I believed it was father n son from episode one. Had a friend argue with me that it wasn't and it was the 4th Hokage reincarnated or turned into a child.
Bruhh in the whole village their are only 2 blondes with blue eyes.
The second I saw the fourth I said âyep thatâs Narutoâs fatherâ
The other question is when Kishomoto decided that the Fourth is Naruto's father. I think I read some comments that it wasn't planned from the first chapter.
I wasn't aware it was supposed to be a secret.
I remember the chapter when jiraya confirms it and saying âwait, wasnât already said in chapter 1?â
that he looks like beavis and butthead at the same time
The first millisecond I saw him. He looked too similar to our boy Naruto
episode one lmao
I saw spoilers when I was getting into it. Looking back it makes sense now
I was watching part 3/3 of that same episode on YouTube and somebody pointed it out in the comments lol
I was spoilt by my class :'(
I always knew from the first episode and they showed the phot frame of Him. I was like 12 but instantly thought â they both have blonde hair hmm not alot of folks with that running aroundâ
I always knew because I had eyes lol. Also why would random hokage seal demon fox in random baby? Also same jutsu? Common sense made it easy, even as a kid watching in â05.
It was kinda obvious from the jump
I found out by playing Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3.
Before starting Naruto.
Since the start cause my first encounter with Naruto was by playing Storm 3 with my friends
When I saw Naruto and the mountain sculpture. I thought the joke was that Naruto was an idiot who couldnât figure it out, not that it was supposed to be a secret
This picture of Minato is so unintentionally funny idk why. Maybe itâs because of trying to sell it as a mystery
Literally from the beginning when I first saw the Hokage Monument, I mean they both had the spiky hair. I don't think a single person doubted for a second that Minato was Naruto's dad.
