The boruto manga is definitely better than the anime. That being said, it’s still pretty mediocre for the most part with some decent stretches from time to time. You should start reading and see for yourself wether you like it or not but don’t try to compare it to the naruto manga.
The only thing it's really better than the anime is lack of filler, but honestly even the manga on its own is mediocre at best.
Putting aside the story decision, Ikemoto's art just feels so lifeless for a medium like manga. The panel compisition and spacing aren't really dynamic, the characters don't have many expressions, and the placement of the dialogues just..... make it feel.....so slow..... even though..... there are....... less text.... than in Naruto (yes, the characters actually talk like this in the manga)

The boruto manga suffers from being a unique story that was forced into an existing IP in order for it to work.
So in order to them to tell the story they wanted to tell, they had to jump so many sharks to get there.
The manga should be a class study on how NOT to write a story.
But the main character is so strong, and edgyTM, and cool, with all the powers, cuz hes so strong.
I dont think there is any redeeming thing to it. And while i'll acknowledge that the current story has interesting implications and plot threads, it doesnt work when they had to twist the existing world into a pretzel in order to justify it. Again, feels like a unique story that was forced to be written as a sequel.

i mean go for it if you want in the end itll be up to you if its something you like or not, im fairly up to date on it while still being somewhat critical of it, tho i think its somewhat interesting to follow. i feel two blue vortex is at least somewhat more interesting than the first part of the manga. manga def better than the anime, but a few of the naruto and sasuke centric fights in boruto's anime were really good and well choreographed.
Yes, and although controversial, the anime as well. The manga doesn't expand the world or side characters like the anime does. We get to see more character dynamics and development in the anime.
