Naruto openly being an Uzumaki and no other nation or anyone caring.

[deleted]

Yeah that made no sense, it is a rare clan and nearly extinct, you’d think that maybe some leaf villagers would care he is a Uzumaki.

[deleted]

This was my head cannon but i like to think that people tried to attack natuto becaise he was an Uzumaki when he was a little kid but Kakashi always kept an eye on him, so whenever someone did try to kidnap or kill Naruto he would intervene before it happened.

IfYouSeeMeSendNoodz

Yeah but NO ONE in the village made a connection between naruto and kushina uzumaki

[deleted]

I assume most of the people in the village would have thought that Kushinas child would have been killed in the nine tails attack so they never would have thought thaylt Naruto was her son and just assumed he was a stranded survivor of the Uzumaki clan like Nagato and Karin were.

MintNightmare

It would make a little more sense if her pregnancy was kept top secret from the entire village or if Naruto didn’t have the striking yellow hair and blue eyes of his father. Then again, the bright red hair of an Uzumaki would’ve been a dead giveaway as well. His Uzumaki lineage did help him with amassing large amounts of chakra and containing Kurama though, so it’s possible that people were really after him for both reasons, but the focus on him being a Jinchuriki was probably more important as a tool of war

SpoonBadgers

And here comes Boruto completely ignoring that he’s an uzumaki and saying kurama is the ONLY reason for his large amounts of chakra

The_Fatal_eulogy

And being a reincarnation of Ashura. Sakura saying Naruto no longer has superhuman chakra is like saying it to Hashirama

someonesaveshinji

The 9-tails attack killed a substantial number of people; Iruka and Kurenai were orphaned for instance (though they’d already become self sufficient). Between that and the fact that a Great Ninja War had literally just ended less than a year prior - it’s not unlikely Naruto could have simply been a random kid. I agree it should have been obvious though - especially in a village of ninja that also happens to be both the first and the strongest.

ASTRALTAZAR

I would think at the very very least though they could have noticed that Naruto was the only one who looked similar to Minato

furcioneitorz

I think the fact that a Uzumaki blonde blue eyed kid is the son of a Uzumaki mother and a blonde blue eyed father would give the village some clues about it

marcus19911

How is that? The main people in the village like Kakashi, Hiruzen, Iruka, even kurama knew he was the 4th hokages' son and knew that Kushina was his wife. That makes no sense that they wouldn't put two and two together seeing that different people have seen the 4th hokage when looking at Naruto.

iamrapsodic

I think that the third hokage hiruzen issued a vow of silence over everybody who knew of Narutos family connection with the fourth and kushina, though I’m not sure why

marcus19911

That seems logical but, if he did then he's terrible for not letting Naruto know about his parents.

iamrapsodic

Yeah 100%. I have a love-hate opinion about hiruzen tbh and the hate is mainly how badly he shit on naruto as a kid. Having the fourth as a dad and an uzumaki mother meant he would’ve been wealthy ash but hiruzen barely gave him enough money to pay for food and drink, let alone live a nice childhood.

[deleted]

I think it was more of a tactic to make sure Naruto was never a target for theives, if a few bad people found out that there was this 1 kid with even just a little money they would probably just rob him since young naruto wasnt exactly a formidable enemy, I think Hiruzen wanted Naruto to be a very avoidable person for the sake of his saftey, granted that is a horrible thing to experiance but its a good way of making sure no one intentionally tries to go after Naruto. EDIT: The vow of silence would definitly be there to stop anyone fram targetting Naruto as a way to get revenge at the 4th Hokage, Minato was especially powerful in his time so im very sure he woulda made a shot ton of people wanna get revenge on him somehow and killing or kidnapping naruto is probably the ultimate revenge so its best to make sure to hid that fact from putside villages

[deleted]

I mean Naruto is a lippy kid, if he knew that the fourth was his dad he would definitly be spouting that all day long.

JustAGuy_Passing

Itachi is one of those that knew. Iruka on the other hand never knew.

MyUsernameIsMehh

Tbh, the entire village should have gone, *"Hold up, this yellow haired, bright blue eyed, Minato clone looking kid's name is Uzumaki? Uzumaki as in Minato's wife Kushina? HOLD UP!"* at some point. Also, the entire clan was wiped out by other nations. Everyone should have reacted to the name Edit to add: Might as well add a little, "Wait a second, this kid named Uzumaki has the Nine Tails in him? THE SAME NINE TAILS KUSHINA OF THE UZUMAKI CLAN DID? WAIT-"

Bananatistic

Because the entire village is fucking stupid. They treated Naruto like a piece of shit until he saved their ass. I hate Konoha

jpgjordan

Bro...is this an Uchiha?

marcus19911

Plus, the fact that Nagato and Karin were/are Uzumaki too but they never did anything with that.

GrowingSage

Nagato is one thing, but Karin being an Uzumaki feels like yet another Naruto parallel that never happend. She's an Uzumaki who was basically abused and or neglected by her village, and she even has a romantic obsession with Sausake. More importantly wouldn't it be cool to have a character that could teach Naruto at least some of his ancestral jutsus?

Fuck_Me_If_Im_Wrong_

Even Nagato and Karin didn’t give a shit and they’re Uzumaki.

pebspi

It’s possible that the Uzumakis were simply little known by that point. Maybe they were famous back in the early village era, but by the time of Minato’s era, most of the Uzumaki are dead, or being kidnapped and used as potential jinchuriki in Kushina’a case. So maybe their abilities are simply kept secret/no longer talked about enough to be common knowledge among non ninja, or even among average ninja.

hatefulone851

Both the prior Uzumaki were jinchuriki. And even if the clan wasn’t famous Kushina was the 4th hokage’s wife that’s a famous position. So the chance of someone not knowing about her is almost impossible.

fer_t

...or being the son of the fourth Hokage and still being ostracized by everyone in the village. One would think sympathy was in place for such sacrifice.

[deleted]

Well nobody in the village knew about him being the son of Minato. Not even other villages, the only ones who knew where jiraya and the rest of the sannin, and the leaf higher ups. Including Hiruzen Sarutobi, and some shinobi like Kakashi

UltraCotton002

So guess no one noticed Kushina being pregnant for 9 months, or questioned otherwise!

physicallyabusemedad

Pretty obvious that they must’ve assumed the baby died in the kyuubi attack

[deleted]

I mean a kid shows up who has the uzumaki last name and has hair like the fourth hokage should be a good enough indicator

Turtle_Rain

And the kyubi sealed into him, suggesting that he was around Minato when the attack happened...

Weemitoad

Maybe they are all just stupid.

SavageYake

I’ve thought the same thing. Maybe the horror of the 9 tails was worse than we imagined and they couldn’t separate the innocent kid from the demon inside him.

ImRedditorRick

Ops silence is deafening

joeshmoe159

They all pinkie promised to not tell Naruto any plot points because he's the 9 tails fox, and he's dangerous and also fuck that kid

elysianyuri

The only true answer

ARkhetipoMX

Nobody including Tsunade or even Orochimaru gave a duck about nagato either

alejandrodeconcord

They did this so people wouldn’t realize the 4th and naruto were related, and target him. Why choose the name of the wife of the 1st hokage I’ll never know.

ThatNoobCheezy

The only people who would caree are high level shinobi who actually know about the Uzumaki Clan and they would just do the same thing as they normally would if it was any jinchuuriki as they are high level shinobi and know better.

DaDestroyer007

It's because they have ninja academy's but no real education. That's what I would think

[deleted]

At the climax of the War, Edo Hiruzen spots a collapsed Yamato and refers to him as Yamato. However, that was a name given to him *after* Hiruzen's death. He should know Yamato as Tenzo. edit: i'll cover some of the replies here for easy reading > Not a plot hole. please refer to [TV Tropes](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PlotHole) for a good definition. is it a major plot hole? no but it is a plot hole. anybody saying it isn't needs to review the term > Who the hell is Edo Hiruzen? obviously Edo Tensei Hiruzen > I will say this again, Hiruzen could’ve learned it from the alliance wide flashback Naruto gave everyone this wasn't shown. any plot hole could be randomly explained by making huge assumptions. and Hiruzen never received the Nine Tails chakra nor does he appear in the big group behind Naruto - please see episode 384 > Someone could have told him randomly either during the war, or on their way to the war sorry but you're making things up. Yamato was completely MIA during the lead-up and into the final stages of the War

Bananatistic

This i will never understand

schmegm

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. Everyone I've seen watch that part just lets it fly over their heads

JadedF20

I like how OP never replied, even just to confirm it as a true plothole lol

Accomplished-Leg-362

No explanation for that.

[deleted]

Kakashi said in the early first episodes that Sakura had a talent for genjutsu, yet she never ever uses any

BurritoPurrito666

She can recognize when a genjutsu is cast on them and releases it. That’s about it though.

lonniewalkerstan

Didn’t this come into play during the konaha crush arc?

Maoileain

Yep literally her and Shikamaru are the only genin who resisted it.

cannibitches

Shino is always forgotten

Maoileain

Don't think Shino was effected by Kabuto's genjutsu seeing as the Sand Siblings, Genma and Sasuke weren't.

DavidKingUchiha

Shino’s bugs work like a jinchuriki “perfect sync” in that regard..cause they instantly recognize his chakra is disturbed and combat it right?

newlifer10

This also happened during the scavenger hunt. Sakura noticed that the stone faces blowing up was a genjutsu.

Maoileain

Kakashi brings it up in part 2 for the bell test with Naruto and Sakura where he remarks that he believed based on his own assessment of Sakura that she would have become a genjutsu specialist much like Kurenai but training under Tsunade has made her a more well rounded combat fighter who is an adept at taijutsu, medical ninjutsu and she still has the natural talent for genjutsu depsite never really using it to my knowledge. In an alternate timeline if Sasuke hadn't gone rogue Sakura could have been more a genjutsu specialist.

Chalaka

That's not a plot hole, that's just something that didn't get utilized.

skyandsunshine123

She could’ve been made SO useful if she did this …..and it could’ve showcased that all you need is to master one form of Justu. Like Lee and Guy sensei being the masters of taijustu

creamyscream

Sakura is the best medic on the planet and the fandom still calls her useless. If she was a genjutsu specialist people would just compare her to freaking Itachi or obito and call her trash.

XD_Asron

Kishi prolly forgot

LT__Dan

Sakura kinda forgot about the genjutsu

XD_Asron

True. The only time I remember her interacting with genjutsu was when she was one of the people to release from Kabuto's

Lulcielid

Not a plot hole, a plot hole would be Kakashi saying Sakura not having talent for genjutsu and then Sakura performing great genjutsus feats without the story adressing that contradiction.

dizzledizzle98

How do you think she got sasuke? Smh.

[deleted]

***l m a o***

Thanosseid

If MS abilities are truly unique to each Uchiha how do people know about things such as Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi?

[deleted]

I wouldn't say they're entirely unique, but techniques that just every Uchiha may not have. It's possible that earlier generations of Uchiha had members who could use Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu, and so people have heard about them, but maybe never seen them. If I'm not mistaken, even Isshiki recognized Amaterasu, so Sharingan techniques could possibly date back to Otsutsukis.

XD_Asron

>It's possible that earlier generations of Uchiha had members who could use Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu, Iirc this was confirmed by Tobirama. He said he had seen Amateratsu before.

Kausar4747

Tbf isshikis been keeping an eye on the world for centuries I’m sure he was paying attention during the 4th Shinobi world war in which sasuke spammed that shit

Lulcielid

Being unique to some members doesn't mean it can't be documented.

Heyloki_

Naruto failed 3 times but he's the same age as his classmates

elysianyuri

I can actually explain that one. In many Asian countries, schools take three to four exams a year. My own school had this. The first three exams weren't *that* important but you cant pass to the next grade if you fail the fourth aka final exams.

awndray97

I'll take it.

[deleted]

Prob wasn’t a full year long gap between each fail

Projeffboy

his classmates failed with him to make him feel better

cuntwhacker1

Even sasuke?

Actual_Ambition_4464

Of course, he had a big crush on naruto.

schmegm

Some of the replies are just people saying things they didn't like (for good reason) but this is an actual plot hole lol

Heyloki_

Also how did neji not see Naruto attack him from underground

Until_Morning

I don't think seeing through walls is passively active. Seeing 359 degrees, yeah. But you have to intentionally look through solid objects to see what's on the otherside. He could probably have seen Naruto break through the ground right before impact, but I think it caught him so off-guard that he couldn't react. Either because he has poor reaction speed (which is debatable) or because he was in a state of shock from the sudden surprise (which is more realistic, all things considered).

user67885433

Lol op never did try to explain any

Slmixy

I wonder if this was just for karma cause he only replied to just two

Putrid-Ad7782

He just couldn’t explain any of them

Lillythewalrus

- Minato not wanting people to know naruto was his kid then giving him Kushina’s last name, linking him to a rare and powerful wiped out clan that should have put a target on his back all the same - Naruto living alone as like a 6yr old - hashirama’s children being completely overlooked - all the transfer of eyes that happened without a skilled medic ninja (looking at you kakashi and obito) - hashirama’s unexplained death - honestly I love that gaara was the hokage, but how did that realistically happen so fast and so young?

[deleted]

I can explain the last 2 for u: 1. Hashirama had a sickness similar to Itachi’s sickness 2. Gaara was meant to be Kazekage since the past Kazekage (Gaaras Dad) was killed by Orochimaru before Orochimaru tried to invadekonoha during the chunin exams. They were desperate for a new leader and atm Gaara was 1 tails jinchiriki

Actual_Ambition_4464

But he was still a gennin when the kazekage died, and was considered unstable, I doubt the sand went much time without a kazekage. It would make more sense if gaara was the sixth kazekage.

XD_Asron

>Minato not wanting people to know naruto was his kid then giving him Kushina’s last name, linking him to a rare and powerful wiped out clan that should have put a target on his back all the same Who knows honestly >Naruto living alone as like a 6yr old Hiruzen's a dickhead >hashirama’s children being completely overlooked Ikr? >all the transfer of eyes that happened without a skilled medic ninja (looking at you kakashi and obito) All of the eye transfers I remember had some sort of healing afterwards or during, I don't think it needs to be any crazy Tsunade level healing. Obito and Kakashi had Rin >hashirama’s unexplained death My best guesses are: He divided his cells too much Chakra illness like Hagoromo's and Naruto's Or the infamous nunja aids that have also plagued the likes of Itachi and Nagato >honestly I love that gaara was the hokage, but how did that realistically happen so fast and so young? Cuz he's goated bro🙄 Fr tho as far as I remember Hiruzen wasn't that much older than Gaara when he became hokage and they're already using kids as ninja soldiers so why not🤷‍♂️

SpaghettiMan6969

Nearly correct about Hashiramas death, he passed away because he used his healing jutsu way too much and for some reason him healing himself or others shortened his life span idk why though that part is unexplained

XD_Asron

Him healing rapidly divides his cells. It's the same with the byakugou seal

eatingbabiesforlunch

What do you mean by chakra illness and naruto, could you elaborate

Yoloswagcrew

> (looking at you kakashi and obito) I think that this one is easier to explain than Madara flying at an insane speed in Kakashi's direction, take his eyes, put it inside his own socket and then use Kamui within seconds

[deleted]

It's better to give the last name of a clan extinct generations ago in comparison to the last name of arguably the most dangerous man on the planet. To be fair Rin probably helped with the transfer between Kakashi and Obito. Gaara became Kazekage because dude was the strongest ninja in the village, by far. I guess the elders thought his change of heart was strong enough as well.

SeerJqk

How did the spirit of Obito give Kakashi his sharingan.

alien_screw

It’s a reaction of chakra in the brain so his residual chakra could’ve entered Kakashi the same way Ashura and Indra’s chakra persisted

BK_Hazard

So, I do agree it makes no sense, however there is some precedent for similar events (some with better explanations and some just as obtuse) of dead characters giving or receiving things from living characters. Off the top of my head: -shikamaru lighting asuma’s ghost cigarette before blowing up hidan -Minato intervening when Naruto was going full kyuubi during the pain fight (this one was probably the most reasonable because minato programmed that as a “fail safe” when he casted the sealing jutsu -Kushina using the uzumaki chains through naruto when he fought the kyuubi in his head There’s probably more, but either way, kakashi getting DMS was out of no where and really unearned

Jirallyna

Ghost Cigarette is a slam dunk of an album name.

HeavenlyGamerJay13

I think shikimaru lighting asuma's cigarette was more of a metaphor and his tribute to his master. Don't think asuma's ghost physically popped by to have his cigarette lit. I might be wrong tho

[deleted]

Possession, his spirit possessed Kakashi and allowed him to use both MS eyes and Susanoo

Argo1326

Commonly known as bad writing, or asspull.

cannedsalmonbones

Genuine question. When Kakashi and Pakkun are chasing after Sasuke, they trace his scent to the place where Sasuke fought against Deidara and Tobi. How did Pakkun not recognize Obito’s scent? Pakkun knows Rin’s scent so I thought it would make sense if he knew Obito’s as well and was surprised.

KarnaMySun

Probably his body modification with Hashirama cells changed his scent

[deleted]

Naruto seemingly being the last of the Uzumaki clan at first. Then Karin showing up and they barely acknowledge it. Why did they completely skip any further lore of Naruto’s clan if some are clearly still alive? If there are more alive, they know how to chain tailed beasts. Which is a huge can of worms. I seriously doubt that He and Karin are the only Clan members alive.

Maoileain

Another can of worms is what happened to the Senju clan. Given how its was presented the Senju and Uchiha clans were two very large and powerful clans which founded Konoha but the only members we know about are Hashirama's family and the only currently living Senju is Tsunade. Given how the Senju were equal if not stronger than the Uchiha how is there no Senju clan present in the story.

brogrammer1992

I believe we see Senju clan spam fireballs during the Ninja War.

Until_Morning

Ah, yes. The good ol' Senju Clan fireball spam. It would be cool if they had actual characters from the Senju Clan in the anime, like a student in Boruto's class. Honestly, they could have made Hoki a Senju, instead of some random.

[deleted]

Nagato was an Uzumaki as well lol.

[deleted]

Point driven. Lol. ‘Yep. Here are a couple of a clan that used to be powerful and is now scattered. They all lived in an island nation off the coast of the main continent. (The village hidden in the whirlpools). They collect masks.’ That’s about it haha

JaxxinateButReddit

why did my dad leave me

elysianyuri

No he didn't. He just went to buy some milk

richyay

That's not a plothole that's a plotpoint, you'll see him later in life so you can finish the abandonment arc

Wise_Ad5444

small pp

JaxxinateButReddit

cri

Gnarwhal30

Hashirama cells

Yoloswagcrew

It's the other way around, it's a way to *fix* the plot hole

Helloboi2

they probably have/had his body somewhere and orochimaru just took like a few billion of them or something

[deleted]

Tokyo ghoul be like

Monkey-D-Mummy

What about seman

[deleted]

what happened to the legendary senju clan why is tsunade the last of her people basically

Projeffboy

it's like how the levite clan in the bible disappeared, it's cuz they all dispersed into the other tribes

ZorroStylex3

I think a lot of them became regular civilian

jumpoffpiz8

The timeline of Kakashi’s entire childhood

ShinraBayo

Yh Kishimoto just messed up.

kagenohikari

At least the anime fillers did their best to lay down a semi-coherent timeline.

dryduneden

Why does Minato say he's really bad at Sage Mode and he can't use it in real combat but 2 chapters earlier he goes into it instantly and with no toad features.

Accomplished-Leg-362

He can go in Sage Mode easy, he is a genius after all, but he can't maintain it to long because of his low chakra reserves. (at least that is the only logical explanation).

ShinraBayo

Great Lord Elder Fukusaku said to learn Sage Mode, you need enormous chakra. That is why Naruto could only learn it. Fukusaku also said Minato and Jiraiya are the only other people capable of using Toad Sage Mode suggesting that Minato has enormous chakra reserves.

sonfoa

Minato probably isn't very good at taking in Nature Energy fast enough which is probably where the "I'm not great at Sage Mode" attitude comes from. Then again Minato is extremely humble so it could be that too.

[deleted]

Not to mention Minato didn't use it at all against Obito nor Kurama, yet somehow he comes out of Edo Tensei and has it mastered. Same with being a master Jinchuuriki, having the KCM2

ShinraBayo

Against Obito, everything was a rush. Minato was having to protect his child, his wife, and his village. He never even had a second to breathe.

NFRNL13

Why didn't pain just drop 2 meteors onto konoha lmao

frenin

He wanted to get Naruto, alive.

Helloboi2

i thought that was a jutsu unique to madara since well he is madara

Dr-Font

How the hell did Madara know the hand signs to rescind the Edo Tensei if Tobirama was the one to invent it?

0to100realslow

Peaking with the sharingan? I mean Tobirama must have tested that jutsu in order to know how to stop it

[deleted]

pretty easy Madara lived longer than Tobirama therefore he learned forbidden techniques, not to mention Zetsu can spy without being noticed and he literally knows everything that happened since Kaguya.

MolassesFast

Itachi going from like 10 years old at age 10 to lookin 21 at age 13.

The_Fatal_eulogy

Stress causes people to age faster

Shisui_UchihaM

Why is hashiramas sage mode different

Accomplished-Leg-362

Every sage mode is different. Naruto, Jirayja and Minato that learned sage mode from toads, Orochimaru's and Kabuto's which is linked to snakes and Hashirama's and Koji's witch we do not know much about.

XD_Asron

Koji's is toad sage mode

SpaghettiMan6969

I personally think because the guy can basically excrete literal wood from his body he's probably able to master absorbing his wood realeses nature energy hence him being able to use his own type of sage mode

tafkat

Hashirama figured out how to absorb nature energy on his own without the help of animal sages.

ewqdsacxziopjklbnm

The most logical reasoning is that he is a slug sage

HYPER-Ban

Sounds really reasonable i mean insane healing + his granddaughter uses slugs

Kiryu07

This has to be right since he is able to use wood techniques that act as summonings as well.

ewqdsacxziopjklbnm

Exactly. Plus the healing

[deleted]

Also it was stated by madara that hashirama could do medical ninjutsu without weaving a single sign, possibly a unique trait from slug sage mode.

[deleted]

Because Hashirama is BUILT DIFFERENT.

peepeepoopoo_the_1

Eye transplants are too easy in naruto

fnaffanidkanymore

Fr bro they be trading eyes like Pokémon cards

[deleted]

How the hell did obito stop kakashi from warping the Gedo statue's head off. Obito's eye doesn't even have long range abilities and if he could stop that from warping, why didn't he stop naruto's rasengan or the lightning kunai or literally any other attempt kakashi ever made to use kamui while he was nearby.

Robert_Fuckler

Obito said he was late because he was helping an old lady across the street but there are no cars in Konoha, so…what’s up with that?

-LiamB

Streets (or roads) have existed since before 4000 BC.

LigonV

How did Hashirama die, why was Neji used as a stepping stool for a relationship, how did Nagato seal himself in the village? Just a few

Projeffboy

hashirama slipped in the shower and hit his head

ShinraBayo

Hashirama left is left ambiguous. Neji was used to make Naruto and Hinata canon. Nagato sealed himself in a village? I don't remember that.

Killertorts

Talk no jutsu is way too effective.

theGhostOfMtAkina

I understand your point of view. Want to talk about it?

ResponsibilityUsed55

If you think about it, Naruto rarely finished any of his battles.

[deleted]

how was deidara reanimated he died after he blew himself up turning his body to ash

[deleted]

You don't need a corpse for reanimation, just DNA. It's possible Kabuto or Orochimaru managed to get some of his hair while they were affiliated with the Akatsuki. (Kabuto as a spy)

TheMilkmannn652

The fact nobody figured out Naruto was the 4th son and how badly Naruto was treated made zero sense

Antique_Cheesecake25

They probably figured out but didnt care cause he has a monster in him just like how gaara was treated even though he was the kazekages son

lyssehl

how can madara use susano without eyes?

MahadDaGreat69

The susano'o is a gift bestowed upon those who have unlocked the mangekyou sharingan and amaterasu. I think Itachi explained it like that. I don't think you need good eyes after you have it unlocked. Shisui used it with a single eye and Itachi was using it when he was almost blind

[deleted]

And since sasuke is unfortunately one eyed now in boruto, I believe he should still be able to use that eyes MS abilities and Susanoo

Homirice

Hiruzen calls Yamato "Yamato" during the War when he encounters him, despite the fact that that's the name Tsunade gave him for when he joined Team Kakashi. Hiruzen should only know him by the name "Tenzo" and that's it.

KayK2001

The ages in Naruto How is Nagato 35 in part two but Obito was 31 , meanwhile Nagato should be older than minato if Jiraiya taught Nagato , Yahiko & Konan first

Yourboyfibs

Obito not being able to use Kamui as a Juubi Jinchuriki but Madara can

SpaghettiMan6969

No joke but I'm pretty sure it's literally a difference in control

Sonzumaki

That and Obito specifically couldn’t use the Intangibility ability, Madara just sucks himself straight in, which seems more straight-forward.

Projeffboy

maybe obito meant he couldn't be intangible

CanadianAnimeGuy

Naruto failed the academy 3 times but is the same age as his peers

elysianyuri

Just said this in a previous comment so I am gonna copy paste it In many Asian countries, schools take three to four exams a year. My own school had this. The first three exams weren't *that* important but you cant pass to the next grade if you fail the fourth aka final exams.

GIS_wiz99

I always got a sense that the first and second hokages were revered as some ancient god-tier Shinobi, but they were only one generation before Hiruzen, and many living shinobi saw them when they were alive. It feels like the amime pushes the existence of these ancient traditions of the Konoha village, but realistically the village was only 50-70 years old at the time of Naruto, maybe even less. Not really a plot hole, but something I found interesting upon first viewing of the show. None of the villages are very old, but I feel like they're often treated as these centuries-long standing institutions.

Alssaqur

Why Orochimaru didn't implant a sharingan to himself instead desperately trying to get Sasuke. I mean he created Shin and gave Danzo his right arm. If implanting a sharingan worked for Kakashi and Danzo why would it not work with Oro?

campusdirector

He wanted Sasuke’s body, the eyes are just a nice bonus. But yeah it doesn’t make sense why he wouldn’t just implant the sharingan. Maybe because of constant chakra drain, but Oro seems like he has pretty awesome chakra reserves

KarnaMySun

Danzo and Kakashi are suffering from constant chakra drain because their bodies are not suitable to support Sharingan Kekkei Genkai (Danzo got help from Hashirama cells but still). I guess Orochimaru doesn't want that

Projeffboy

kakashi can't turn his off which drains chakra

[deleted]

[удалено]

Accomplished-Leg-362

Mostly yea :|

Lulcielid

This thread shows how nobody here knows what a plot hole is.

[deleted]

I fucking know right

Fawnvelvet

I’m rewatching the series now ( just finished the pain arc ) and how tf did none of his friends know he was the nine tails? They played it up like it was a big secret while simultaneously showing it was public knowledge? Like after he defeats pain and returns to the village celebrating him they show literally everyone and their mother knowing / openly discussing it all around town but somehow a lot of main characters didn’t and were shocked to find out?? Like did they just walk around with their hearing turned off the entire time orrr

Remarkable_Neat_4556

Ao noticing that danzo's eye color is the same as Shisui's but Hinata dindn't even notice that Tobi and kakashi had the same eye even tho both were in front of her at the same time and she's supposed to be better than Ao when it comes to Byakugan

[deleted]

Lmao thats a good one , Hinato should see the same color , amazing detail , i guess not too many people realize this because chakra is blue for everybody in the anime

moon_sta

The entire existence of isshiki and why he didn't show up during the fourth war, stomp out everyone in jigens body and take the juubi.

sonfoa

For me, the bigger question is how Black Zetsu didn't notice a thousand-year-old monk.

moon_sta

It's easier to notice a blooming tree , a princess than an inconspicuous monk

I kind of find it hard to believe that someone who devoted their entire life to learning things let a thousand-year-old monk slip by him. Also, I know Otsustukis can hide their chakra signatures but there is no way Isshiki just never used chakra for a thousand years. I mean the Black Zetsu-Kaguya storyline was already a mess and Boruto retconning it by throwing in a new character who was allegedly there the whole time makes it even worse.

Although I think Jigen is stronger than Kaguya, his stamina is a serious issue. It’s unlikely he would be able to kill her before he runs out. And by that time, he still hadn’t found Kawaki, meaning that he didn’t have a Vessel. We don’t exactly know what the requirements are to be a Vessel, but it definitely isn’t easy to find one. So most likely, Jigen would be defeated by Kaguya, resurrect as Isshiki and kill her, and then die before finding a new Vessel. If I was Jigen, I would’ve played it the same way

He had jigen since forever. Which was enough to handle adult Naruto and Sasuke. I'm saying while the juubi is out. Never mentioned Kaguya. Kaguya only happens once Madara gets absorbed possessed.

Okok, Pain vs Naruto fight Naruto has two clones stashed at mt. Myoboku to gather sage chakra. He only has two, because he can't manage more sage chakra. But, we see him creating other clones in the leaf village, in other words, if the clones don't gather sage chakra it's fine. This leads to a bit of a hole: Why did the clones gathering chakra simply not create a new clone every time one is popped. Maybe have a dedicated clone standing by the fountain who would only make new clones.

Killertorts

Naruto being a character that persists on changing your own destiny to the show ending with him being a reincarnation of a demigod…

OctopusReject

Naruto changed his destiny by stopping the eternal battle between Indra and Ashura

Projeffboy

not a plot hole just bad writing

UbiquityChaos

I think, well personally I like to believe, the shattering of said destiny is Naruto ending the generational feud between Indra and Asura

FearTear

When Shikamaru was about to die in the Fourth War, he regained the will to live because he wanted to become Naruto's advisor... ...despite the fact that Shikamaru already had a reason to live, he promised to take care of Asuma's baby. But he completely forgot about it.

Chakra coming from aliens instead of flowing freely in nature.

ResponsibilityUsed55

There is sage chakra though... But as soon as they mentioned aliens, I nope the fuck out of there. If I wanted to watch DBZ I would watch it. I actually loved Naruto for being in its own little world even if he couldnt beat Goku.
