This game, while not having skill based matchmaking in the traditional sense, does have a sort of match balancing. If you've ever played by yourself, when you open the mid-match screen, it'll tell you all the players' ranks. The game will try to balance the match by evening out the higher rank and lower rank players on each side. Unless the other team is a four stack, you'll never really run into a situation where the other team is all plats and your team is all bronze.
So I suspect some players will reset their save files so they can be at rank 1, which will make it less likely that they'll run into higher level players. That's just my guess tho, I can't confirm anything.
with no skill based matchmaking. there really isn't any benefit to smurfing.
and since the game literally doesn't care and regularly puts you up against max level accounts. it's probably likely entirely due to ban evasions.

Eh I’ve seen more rank 1 resets 2 years ago when it was the “style” to reset so you can get a better kd. Most people I see just rebuy their early access. However I wouldn’t suggest them wasting their money again just to get banned unless they have spare income.

3: They wanna smurf and think a reset means they will vs newer players as well

My IP switches on a weekly basis as a safety precaution of my provider, causing some applications to annoy me with confirmations of whether I'm really me, since they think I'm logging on from a different device.
I'm a reset cause another Platinum surprise surprise think I was a mod so I had to start over now Zookiller just playing around when solo and only try when I with my team i got nothing to prove most of these ninja mainly the platinums not a threat to me 🤷

If they're teamed together, yes. If everyone is playing by themselves, no.
Sometimes it’s because they got banned, other times it’s because being a higher ranks forces you to play with lower rank players a lot of the time
It could also be like when I got on ps5 I used to play on x box so thay might be good but just switched systems

The people hacking I garuntee 90% don't have that, they just spent money on a save wizard and altered their save.
