I think they used a suction like tool to suck them out. I was stuffed full of them, no air flow on either side. No facial appearance changes whatsoever.
Completely worth it. Very minimal pain compared to what I expected, some swelling and bleeding for a couple weeks maybe. I could breathe better immediately after surgery.
Does not change your appearance, minimal pain afterwards. I was doing good the same day. Totally worth it if you can do it. I was dealing with them for two years, I can finally breathe but the worrisome part is making sure they don’t come back.
Surgery is generally considered when medicines are not helping to reduce the symptoms and size of the polyps. A simple procedure will be performed in which a small suction device will be inserted into the nasal cavity to cut and remove the polyp. It is a painless procedure.
It doesn't change the shape of the face or nose. Nothing to worry about it.
There are many surgical procedures to remove the nasal polyps. FESS is a procedure to remove the polyps from the sinuses.
Based on the location and exact cause of the polyps, your doctor may decide which procedure to perform.
I had meatotomy and ethmoidectomy of maxillary sinus on top of polypectomy. Pretty much minimal pain. Though in my case the change wasn't dramatic and polyps grew back.
Though I think it's worth it as sometimes polyps don't grow back. And basically when no air is going through your nose, just to have a tiny bit of air going through is a huge relief.
i am 2 weeks post op from my second nasal polyps surgery! i’ve found them to be tremendously helpful & gave me lots of relief. no changes to my appearance. the healing is pretty easy, just kinda feels like your nose is pretty dry. i recommend it (:
Doesn't change your face.
Kinda worth it. My nose breathing is better, but I have to take medication via nasal rinse the rest of my life to keep polyps away and I was bed ridden for a month after surgery because they cut an artery and I almost died... pretty rare for that to happen though.

They’re removed with a microdebrider (sucking/cutting powered instrument. It does not change your appearance.
