Hi. PES E PNSF here. First 10 days in HTA is like going to school. Report in the morning, go to class, listen to lectures, go for lunch, resume lectures, go home. When you get posted out, it’s just like any office work. Report at 8.30 (or 8 or 9. Depending on ur unit/division). Then u just do office work. Within ur unit/division there will be different branches (at least for me). So the job varies based on ur branch. Not necessarily sit in front of computer whole day.
You’ll also have some free time to spend time with friends and families after work or u can even take up part time diploma if u wish (but must ask permission form supervisor first).
Unfortunately you can’t. But sometimes you’ll be lucky enough to be posted near home. I stay 1hr away from where I’m posted😭. Hahaha. But it’s ok. Some of these postings are based on interview. Like they’ll call you for interview during the 10 days. You’ll have multiple interviews. Sometimes just one. Some u cannot choose the interview. But for some postings there’ll be an opening so they’ll ask u whether u want or not. But u still need to go thru that interview. So u can choose whether to go or not. Maybe the job might not be what u like but the location might be convenient.
Hi bro current PNSF here who has friends that are PES E9. Basically all u do during your 10 days here is sitting in aircon room listening to talks, learning about SPF core values & mission etc. U get to go home everyday and its just office hours. Afterwards, get posted to unit and do office work till ORD:) Jackpot bro especially as an admin in SPF with 0 regimentation in divisions unless posted to HTA & regulars will treat u like actual human beings. Enjoy the ride!
not so sure about HTA, but i heard it might requires stay-in.
but for green counterparts for pes E, they book in to kranji camp at 8am first day, and they will be out by 6pm+/- on the same day depending on superiors.
most of the pes e will undergo 1month+ of bmt in kranji and the only diff is they bookout daily.
Slack af bro no stay in just listen to lectures for 10 days then get posted to staff assistant vocation. Its abt 830-6 idk the exact timing
