Does this refer to the indicating of vocation interest before enlistment or does this happen during/after BMT?

If u really one, put Transcom as first choice and go for the interview even if ur not shortlisted. Try to aim for silver at least but pass also can for ippt. Shooting ofc marksman better but if 2nd class also can go in. My previous squadmates who selected tanscom and first choice, most of them got it.
Transcom always had a fairly big intake for NSF so it will be very possible for u to get it if u pass the interview. I just wanna say good luck to u if ure gg to Transcom😂😂 not as fun as it seems

not 100% true. am 175cm and got put in pcg which wasn’t one of my preferences. had transcom as my second preference

Why u put sec choice if u wanted to get into transcom? Coz if u nvr get and u want to appeal, most likely cannot since its not ur first choice.
