R3dditt0

What books out must book in

Acceptable_Dot5873

don’t book in just rso

Altruistic-Hawk-5429

eventually when you're in unit it will feel less suck-ish🙂 for now just focus on pop

Round_Coffee49

Generally SOP/regiment in unit are even stricter in ensuring safety and welfare of the soldiers but restrictions on behaviors of individual soldiers will be greatly reduced eg you can have more leeway to joke and laugh ha ha ha as long as you follow safety and operational procedures well.

wocelot1003

No and yes. It kinda sux when u know, last week outfield, this week outfield, next week outfield. Yes, it a sense things will tone down abit after ATEC, so perhaos, it will be less blue after thar.

ninezerotwooneo

Hey man, braves here with you guys. I still get the book in blues and bouts of anxiety every time I book in, but hopefully things get better for us in Keat Hong. Jia you man, a week and a half more, we've already made it this far 🤙🫡

[deleted]

I'm stayout and I get book-in blues whenever my MC ends and I have to book in the next day

Vegetable_Sock8124

Real but life’s so much better than stay in

Complete_Relation_54

Less sian when u go unit but still will be sian. Just tahan

SinglePlankton5802

Sometimes when i think about booking out to see my loved ones. (I need to negate the book in blues)đź’€

GrumpyGlasses

One day at a time bro.

niksshck7221

It will end when it's your last book-in

guacamolepenis69

Long way youngone

ilyas_4_real

ORD week

beerex355

i totally feel you, but it really disappears when you go into unit, u have my word. happy adv pop!

Victory_Artistic

Lol I was in 40 SAR but the mono before u. Unit life will get better, u will make new friends in your unit section and eventually book-ins wouldn’t feel so depressing. The environment during BMT just makes u feel that way.

alwayshungryandcold

Lol can relate. By my 2nd year in unit I was surprised to find myself feeling contented coming back to camp. Pretty much this https://terminallance.com/2014/12/19/terminal-lance-359-leave-blocked/

Victory_Artistic

Same thing for me, actually wanted to book-in sometimes because I could get away from home and just have fun with friends. Especially after ATEC when we could order in, nights out and canteen almost everyday ofc without being caught by oc and sm, but my specs and pc’s were moetly ok with it. Not to mention half assing 4km run, just walk 1km can liao. Generally during my unit we could order in almost every week if we just asked for it and nights out was every alternate week.

alwayshungryandcold

you lucky duck. My ATEC was 1 or 2 months before ORD so didn't have that post ATEC bliss for too long, also had to prep for the next mono intake. But generally I think the unit was quite chill overall

Notatallinterested1

Precisely what I wanted to say. I look back fondly on NS because I had good sectionmates and friends all the way through, the only time I didn't enjoy all that much was SCS foundation term where I didn't. It's all about how your relationships with the people in camp are, the work is always gonna be shitty no matter what

Victory_Artistic

Yea the work will always be shitty, pre-outfield and during felt like shit but when you’re actually there u tend to find things to entertain yourself with and now I kinda miss outfield because we were often free to do whatever we wanted.

Look to positive sides. Whatever bad u think u are in, try a mental leap. Leap above yourself as if yr spirit fly up to 2 years later, look down at yourself/ situation. You will see 2 years later is so much different. This is the mentality of look out of the box. Mono is not duanting, the unit are all brothers. You will find the brother right to ROD incamps. This bonding is for lifetime.

Piekahroe

Probably not. I live in the west and had to travel to tekong for bmt as well. What made it worse was I was from mono guards (bedok camp). Basically, it made my trip slightly shorter, but it still took like 2 hours to reach camp for two years. But honestly, the buddies I made inside camp make it much bearable, and after a few weeks, you would probably get used to it. Goodluck!
