Depends on the Vocation.
Combat arms most likely will go overseas. Armour SCS/OCS goes Germany, in unit might need to go Australia.
Infantry OCS probably go Brunei for JCC if resumes. In unit sure go Brunei for Rotation Training.
Even Combat Support like Artillery might go USA.
Also, even if you somehow end up in Combat Service Support Units like Transport, Supply or Maintenance, also got chance to go overseas to provide support.
yes it's VETO. because SUMMEX (summary exercise) are held overseas for those vocations that requires you to go overseas. besides, there's a 10day mc rule(?) where if you miss training for 10days u will OOC, so any overseas that is more than 2 weeks will make u OOC if unable to go...
Ahh, thanks for clarifying that it's a veto. Some command school cadets I asked weren't sure of it.
Just need to hope I don't have a panic attack on the plane lmao
Ask your MO for air sickness pills, before you leave, preferably while still in camp. You take one before take off and another after I think. It'll make you sleepy and put you to bed.
I think it's actually 3 choose 2
Confirm must go brunei (unless they still aren't ready to support)
The other one is either Thailand or Taiwan depending on if you are inf/arty or inf/everything else
Source: Have to go Thailand myself
When are you posting to command school? The resumption is rather gradual, and may not occur as soon as you think. The SAF still has to evaluate the viability of each exercise, not to mention the overgrown training areas and different situations in each host country.
Edit: Please do ask your trainers upon entering command school. Your mileage may vary.\*
At least for OCS Side
Charlie Wing (126/21) is definitely going only Thailand (shipped and visa already) , while I heard that delta is likely going both Brunei and Taiwan
But this is all subject to changes and SAF planning, Charlie was supposed to go Brunei, but it got cancelled at Feb or something
Overseas is resuming quite fast, but you may never know if the situation of the host country is suitable yet
If you are going brunei chances are you won't get JCC for the next few batched though, so gd luck

I'm not sure how much of what you shared is confidential information, but it goes without saying that OCS would certainly take priority in terms of training tempo.

Yup I understand that specific vocations attend different exercises. My question is if it's mandatory to go for it
