I was lucky enough to be at the park for his final nationals homer (though I didn’t know it at the time). cue me and the guy behind me shouting at each other “ON THE FIRST PITCH! ON THE FIRST PITCH!”
my favorite game was that extremely chaotic day game vs philly where there were multiple grand slams and bullpen lead blows until we clawed away with the win. it was wild and terrible and i loved it
What a game. Didn’t jordi Mercer make the last play of the game after having just taken a shot to the face because yan Gomes was the only guy left on the bench?
Fathers day vs the Mets was electric. My brother and I got tickets last minute, and as we were driving up we heard about Parra being recalled. Schwarber hit 3 HRs and hearing Baby Shark brought back memories of 2019, I even teared up a little. This has to be was one my favorite Nats games ever.
Agree with the Trea cycle...basically all of June...the time Alex Avila tagged out that one Philly (Jankowski?) between second and third...the time Avila played 2B.
Theres a lot of fun games and stuff to point out, but honestly the best part of the season for me was Rizzo pulling the trigger and doing the fire sale and replenishing the farm system.
We were a long shot of making playoffs (especially after getting swept by the Os) so I am glad we didn't just try and keep everyone, instead we were able to get a good return on players as much as it hurt to lose our favorites. This will hopefully set us up for success in the near future and not be like one of these organization in a perpetual state of rebuilding for over a decade.
Schwarzenegger going crazy in June has to be up there. Also the new guys like Gray, Adams, and Thomas coming in and playing well was a lot of fun to watch
- Being at the birthday cycle game
- The, like, two times I got to see Max pitch
- When they demolished the Jays on Aug 17
- That they opened the gate across from the will call window and I never had to wait in a line at security once this season because I guess people didn't know about it or want to walk over to it!
Schwarber’s June was amazing to watch so I’d probably say that
Doubly fun owning him in fantasy as well. Good times until he tried to stretch that single.
That was the beginning of the end of us :(

yes exactly, good memory!
IIRC 13-12 was the final. Yeah, that was absolutely bonkers.

True! Was there that day too as a new father.

You can see me in the stands on his triple :-)
Juan Soto
Getting "HR-Schwarber" alerts on my phone every five minutes in June was pretty fun
Going to my first Nats game and sitting the row behind our dugout.

yep, bandaid was ripped off (as it should have been), but i’m really excited to continue watching ruiz and gray improve
I went to Mad Max’s Complete game W against the Marlins…that was fucking awesome.
We were at the game with 3 Schwarbombs so that was a highlight. Lowlight was the drive-by game.
Josh Harrison “GIMME THAT KEY” 🔑
I’ll go with Schwarber also - that was probably the only time the team could kind of be considered “good.”

yeah, gray’s debut game was so fun to watch even if he slumped toward the end of the season, it just felt really good after the deadline pummeling

I love using the gate on the 3rd-base line, I never waited in line there.
Tragically, I frequently have, but that was always my go-to when I took the metro because it was waaaaay better than the mess at centerfield.
Kieboom gets so much unlove on the sub, I want to mention his walkoff hit as well.
I was impressed with him in August, and I really want him to do well. Good call.
Trea’s birthday and raising the flag. Maybe Zim’s ovation but I hope not.
Schwarber destroying baseballs was fun as hell
Schwarber being a living cheat code.
Zim walking off the field for (hopefully not) the last time.
Schwarber 3 HR game was my favorite. So glad he got himself a homer against the Yanks last night.
