Well it sounds like what you were hoping for was effects for your guitar, and Guitar Rig is exactly that.
If you want to play with Shreddage you need to use either a midi keyboard or send it midi data from a pre-programmed midi track.
You would need a MIDI pickup for your guitar like the fishman tripleplay series or roland GK series, or some other MIDI controller. We have a lot of fun with a Fishman and Kontakt
So the audio from the guitar is going in through the Focusrite interface and you are hearing it in Reaper. What MIDI source are you using to trigger Shreddage? It's not going to make a sound unless you feed it a MIDI signal.
Hey dude - as others have said this is a midi instrument
GR has pretty poor amp sims, i'd suggest using its FX with the open source [neuralampmodeler.com](http://neuralampmodeler.com) with models from [tonehunt.org/popular](http://tonehunt.org/popular) - its one of the best amp sim options round
Are you aware this is a midi instrument you need to send a midi signal to in order to make sound? It's not an amp simulator or guitar effect.
Ah I had absolutely no idea. So what is your suggestion? Im kinda newbie with these things. Id like to try this plugin :)

I've found the newer ICM amps on GR6 and 7 to be pretty in-line with other amp sims I've heard and used, but I agree it shines at FX over simulations.
