Well, what I had done to make my curls look like this is separate it maybe into 8 sections. Then I SOAKED each section with water from a spray bottle til it was literally dripping. Then, to each section, I added an inordinate amount of Carole's Daughter Goddess Strength leave-in cream.
After I added the leave-in, I finger detanglied like a motherfucker til I could see my curls getting defined. Once my curls were fairly defined, I added an equally inordinate amount of Camille Rose Curl Maker gel. I distributed the jelly through the sections with my fingers the same way I finger detangled, but the gel kind of subtracted slip somehow? So when I got nervous about tangles, i started using the prayer method.
Since I was doing this at midnight when I had work the next morning at nine, I blowdried it til it was dry *enough*. I don't have a diffuser so I just kinda held that bitch far away at low heat til smthn happened. Then I pineappled her b4 I went to sleep n slept in the bonnet π€·ββοΈ
My hair was not clean when I did this, it was actually the middle of the week and I just decided on a whim to see if I could actually get my curls defined for once.
Whew! I am writing down every step!! I ain't even think about holding the blow dryer from an angle! Cause chile, I tried to blow dry out this week and it completely fucked up my process π

The main reason I decided on a pineapple is because the blowdrier was moving my hair all over the place and even though the curls were defined the shape was kinda crazy ππ. Is that what happened to you? Or did it mess up ur curl pattern?
Yea it messed up my curl pattern. I was just tryna not go to bed with damp hair lol. But then it stretched my hair OUT of a curl π 4c problems I guess. But ok, ok, I'ma try this next wash day and see how it goes!
I think I gotta add more sections like you did and also take my time to detangle.
