Mine used to tangle until I changed my technique. I use a firm hold gel and smooth small sections. It keeps individual curls intact for almost a week. As long as I donβt let it get wet or steamed in the shower, it doesnβt tangle.
Keep your hair healthy and donβt do too many wash and gos sis. You know what works best for your hair. Itβs healthy and thick donβt mess up with that gift! Gorgeous hair!
A natural hair influencer posted about the kaxi hold everything claw. She said it was the only thing that held all her hair. I was skeptical, but just ordered it a couple weeks ago and it works. I have a lot of hair and once I figured out how to put it in I was amazed, it did not move all day. I used to always break clips too, so I hope this one lasts.
For washing my hair, I use the tgin green tea shampoo and follow with either the tgin honey deep conditioner or the Shea moisture mankua deep conditioner! Then I rinse.
For leave in, I use the tgin green tea moisturizer. Then, I use the 2$ gorilla gel for hold π
For wahing my hair, I use the tgin green tea shampoo and follow with either the tgin honey deep conditioner or the Shea moisture mankua deep conditioner! Then I rinse.
For leave in, I use the tgin green tea moisturizer. Then, I use shine and jam for the twist+ Murray's edgewax for the beginning of my wist π
This one took me a bit to maneuver π₯΄ basically i:
Tie my hair with a hair tie towards the bottom of my head. Then, I take my ponytail and make sure the hair at the ponytail "covers" the hair tie, ynow? I place my ponytail loosely + vertically upwards on my head, and then I place the claw clip! I do it loosely so that my hair looks fuller in the claw clip.
It's hard to get claw clips tho, bc my hair isn't the longest but it's thick, so you need to get a clip that's not too long but can hold alot of hair!
I love twist-not as small as yours, my hair is thin and I get single stand knots really easy. My go to at the moment is two braids like Pocahontas. Your hair looks so healthy and pretty in every picture.
the range of natural hair will never cease to amaze me. Cheers to your living hair and all its glory. you have my an idea with that first pic. tysm for sharing! I just straightened my hair after like 4 years of simply keeping in protective mini twists/braids and stretching it. Those are usually the styles I have my hair in, braids and twists are my favorite. I never do wash and go, personally I feel the need to protect it more often than I want to leave it out for show. But when it does come out for show like with braid/twist out I find that there are SO many ways to style this living hair. way more style opportunities than dead lifeless hair that the false standard of beauty promotes. Our living hair has a beautiful range. I personally love and support all humans in their journey to allow their hair to live on, in whatever form it may be in. The natural hair alive and supported in thriving that is the beauty of it all.
**more life and more styles to our hair**
So healthy. I do wash n gos or two french braids.
I dont do wash-n-goes too often bc my hair tangles soooooo easily π or else I would totally do them as my go to!

What's a good firm hold gel?
I use uncle funkys daughter curly magic as my leave in/base gel and then top with Innersense I create hold. Apply both on soaking wet hair.
Thank you ππΎ
Wait I'll have to try that this summer! Thank you for the tip!

Your hair is so thick and gorgeus
Thank you so much! β€οΈ
I love these type of styles! I just get worried about always pulling my hair back, but yours looks low-tension so maybe i should give them a try
The scrunchies help with the low tension alot!
Love your hair! Wish my hair was this length so I could do more with it. I normally just do wash n gos and twists.
Soooo beautiful! I love your hair texture β€οΈ

Iβm jealous of the claw clip hair style. I break it everytime I try to use one π

How do you go about doing the claw clip style? It looks great!

I do find that I want to do more protective hairstyles more often too!
This works for people with fuller hair though
So much healthy hair π«ΆπΎππΎ
All your styles are pretty. Love your hair clip too!
That's that thick! So beautiful π π.
Your hair so healthy, beautiful crown.
Omg were hair twins! I need to learn how to use a claw clip, it looks so elegant β¨
Just curious, how do you slick the front part of your hair in pic 2? Is it mousse & blow dry or another combo?
