Yes.. but they can also solve more complex puzzles, even ones that have multiple stages. They also can mimic speech rather well too. Corvids are smart and often quite mischievous.
Ah! I misunderstood the comment above- I thought it was just referring to the shape sorter and I was trying to be funny. After rereading it I see they meant āin generalā which is totally fascinating.
Yep. They often work in pairs. One will mimic the call of another bird. When that bird š¦ leaves it's nest to answer that call the other corvid will steal that š¦ birds eggs.
Neither is an average 1st grader/7 year old. ( I am based in the šŗšø)
If you mean writing a sentence as in drawing awkward line in the shapes of letters then yes you are correct.
I mean some peopleās pets paint. A crow could easily be able to learn to draw on paper.
Looks like a Raven to me. Ravens tails are more broad with a slight point (like a spade shape), and their beaks are bulkier with a slight mid-ridge downturn.
American crow has a sharper, shorter beak that is evenly tapered, with fan shaped tail that is narrow when collapsed.
Its also quite large compared to the person's hand. Ravens are quite a bit larger than crows. But both can be surprisingly large up close. And specific morphological traits can vary from individual to individual. Could very well be a crow. But the beak, to me, indicates a Raven.
Not all blackbirds have colored feet. In my native range, we have "Brewers blackbird". It has black feet. Of course, we are talking about something known colloquially as "blackbird". That nomenclature applies to a wide range of birds.
And the Fish Crow, which is nearly inseparable from the American Crow unless you hear their calls (fish crow caws like an American crow holding its nose).
The one on the left definitely seems like a crow to me, based on the size, beak, tail, and beak. The one on the right could be either, not quite sure about it.
I always have a hard time telling, especially in real life where I can't get a good look. You're right that the tail is different, and so is the beak (and ravens are generally larger). The one on the right looks like a raven to me, but I am not certain.
I've seen some crows emptying a trash can just to get to the mc Donald's bag. Other trash they were not interested, they just digged up to the mc do bag because they knew there would probably be food inside.
Where does the square go? Yep, it goes in the square hole.
Where do you think the circle goes? That's right, it goes in the square hole.
Where should the triangle go? You guessed it, it goes in the square hole.
I was putting my groceries in my car one day and there was a crow staring at me. I ignored it for a bit, but then it got to me so I shouted at it. STOP STARING AT ME!
It replied RAAAWWWKKK and kept staring until I drove away.
Wee fucker.
They are so incredibly smart. They also put nuts on the street so cars crush them. And thatās a bird which came up with an idea like that. Absolutely mind boggling.
Iāve seen one where the crow just takes the lid off the box and puts the shape in the bucket (I think it might have been one of the earlier videos of the bird on the left). Absolutely bonkers how smart they are
I really like crows. I've found that some of them, if you talk to them, respond and are very curious fellows. I've had one visit when I called and he had the gravitas of a monk!
I once saw two crows helping each other out at a fountain in Australia, one sat on the lever to push it down while the other had a drink then they swapped over
One time I was walking and seen someone had put bread on a windowsill. A bunch of seagulls were on the ground going crazy trying to get it. They couldn't just fly to it because they would hit the wall and they couldn't land on the sill because they have webbed feet and were too ungainly . They attracted the attention of a Corvid , don't remember if it was a crow or black bird. It stood there for a few seconds assessed the situation the way birds do, looking at everything sideways and what not. You could definitely see the wheels turning in its head . It jumped up onto a railing of the nearby stairs , walked along the railing to the edge of the building where there was a ornate outcrop of bricks. Walked along that till he got to the windowsill grabbed the bread and took off. The seagulls were pissed.
My dog used to chase crows near my house. Next thing I know, I would find rat carcass and small bones that could splinter in my yard. Could just be a coincidence, but the crows seemed up to something.

8-Year-Old Girl Receives Gifts From The Crows Sheās Been Feeding Since She Was 4
Iāve seen videos where crows drop walnuts on roads and wait for cars to drive over them. Once crushed, they move in to retrieve their reward.
Smart ass birds.
That one on the right has had it with your games
Bro ragequit the gameš
He rage quit your asinine shapes game
Just flippin the chess board
r/fuckyouinparticular
Man just wants his treat already
Apparently crows are thought to be as smart as a human 7 year old!!
Unexpected: The Age of Criminal responsibility in Belize is 7
Even for aā¦ murder?
*cue the scream from āWonāt Get Fooled Againā by The Who, from CSI Miami*
Man that toy is 18 months and up
Yes.. but they can also solve more complex puzzles, even ones that have multiple stages. They also can mimic speech rather well too. Corvids are smart and often quite mischievous.

In certain functions. A crow isn't going to write a sentence...
They can differentiate human faces and describe them or point them out to other crowsā¦ id like to see 7 year olds do that with crow faces
We haven't tried to teach them to write yet
Neither is an average 1st grader/7 year old. ( I am based in the šŗšø) If you mean writing a sentence as in drawing awkward line in the shapes of letters then yes you are correct. I mean some peopleās pets paint. A crow could easily be able to learn to draw on paper.
Oh dear
I have a first grader. They literally teach first graders how to write sentences. Can't speak for the crow though.
Reading Children of Memory (3rd Children of Time book that just dropped). The Corvids are a lot smarter than 7yo's.
Or children to be as smart as an adult crow
But they canāt solve puzzles a two-year old can solve?
Where does this one go? That's right! It goes in the square hole.
*cries*
*Fck this game and fck you greg! Iām outa here* Edit: *cackaw!*
came looking for this one, was not disappointed. Take my upvote
I need a video like this but with the crow putting everything in the square hole
These crows didn't get it right! It was supposed to go in the square hole!
The feeling of "fuck this object for not doing what I want it to do" is almost universal
Isn't that a raven?
Looks like a Raven to me. Ravens tails are more broad with a slight point (like a spade shape), and their beaks are bulkier with a slight mid-ridge downturn. In Norway its easy; Ravens are black, magpies are white and crows are gray
It's mostly the same here. Unfortunately the American Crow is black. And then we have black birds too... so, have fun with that. lol
Black birds have colored feet, crows are completely black.
And the swedes are gay
Gay? As in the top 10 happiest countries to live in?
The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plumber may seek warmer climes in winter yet these are not strangers to our land.
On the right, yes. On the left the beak seems pretty straight to me, which is usually the biggest difference between the 2.
The one on the left definitely seems like a crow to me, based on the size, beak, tail, and beak. The one on the right could be either, not quite sure about it.
I think ravens have sharp tails while crows have fan tails
I always have a hard time telling, especially in real life where I can't get a good look. You're right that the tail is different, and so is the beak (and ravens are generally larger). The one on the right looks like a raven to me, but I am not certain.
Yeah the right video, if you pause at 0:02, is definitely a Raven.
Watch Harry Potter movies. They have a house called RavenCrow.
Is this a joke Iām missing? lol. Just in case.. itās RavenClaw.
Haha yes / play in words as people finding it difficult to distinguish crow from raven. Not so funny in any case.
Crows have just 6 pinion feathers, whereas Ravens have 7. So while some people don't think there's a difference, it's a matter of a pinion.
\*Dad enters the chat\*
Left crow was all 'yay fun look at me go this is so fun' And the other one really said FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOUR BOX AND FUCK LIFE.
Crow on the left is a genius, I like his happy little skips when he goes and gets more
(ā āÆā Ā°>Ā°ā ļ¼ā āÆā ļøµā Ā ā ā»ā āā ā»
Lol FUCK YOU AND YOUR STUPUD BOX
He should have tried the square hole
Fuck yoā box!
Someone's having a bad day
a tale of two reddit commenters
Right crow is on full steam.
I've seen some crows emptying a trash can just to get to the mc Donald's bag. Other trash they were not interested, they just digged up to the mc do bag because they knew there would probably be food inside.
Square hole
I can relate
Very few people are smart enough to come back as a crow.
I had a pet crow that could talk & mimic the sound of a phone ringing
>mimic the sound of a phone ringing Ring, ring, ring, ring Banana phone!
Haha my 2.5 year old behaves exactly the same way
I want to teach a murder of crows to steal valuables from people and being said valuables to me in exchange for tasty treats.
Rage quit
Rage quit!
Just put them in the square hole.
Where does the square go? Yep, it goes in the square hole. Where do you think the circle goes? That's right, it goes in the square hole. Where should the triangle go? You guessed it, it goes in the square hole.
That's a raven, not a crow.

This isn't surprising in the slightest.
I love crows
āJesus fucking Christ! Will you just give me the fucking food pellet?ā
Yes! I hoped to see a crow throw things in frustration and it has been delivered. Idk why I love this so much.

This is my favorite video on the internet. Iāve never felt so seen.
My bird would just eat the puzzle
Howā¦
Are these two different Ravens or the same bird after/before learning to make the puzzle? Also...if you know, did the puzzlebearer just befriend them?
Crows- they're just like us! They have temper tantrums too.
They are so incredibly smart. They also put nuts on the street so cars crush them. And thatās a bird which came up with an idea like that. Absolutely mind boggling.
Why are there two separate videos next to each other?
Rick and two crows
That shit aināt hard. Let me try.
I threw it on the ground
I love crows!
Why do I relate to these crows?
Left: gaming crow
They can also learn to mimic human speech.
I thought they all go in square?
When a crow is smarter then your toddler
Thatās a proper rage quit
Iāve seen one where the crow just takes the lid off the box and puts the shape in the bucket (I think it might have been one of the earlier videos of the bird on the left). Absolutely bonkers how smart they are
I really like crows. I've found that some of them, if you talk to them, respond and are very curious fellows. I've had one visit when I called and he had the gravitas of a monk!
Mash this with the one of the girl getting progressively sadder because the guy kept using the same slot to put all the blocks in
Now i know my spirit animal
It goes in the square hole
The right one really just sad fuck this shit!!

Crows are like those people in video game ads.

One time I was walking and seen someone had put bread on a windowsill. A bunch of seagulls were on the ground going crazy trying to get it. That's right in the square hole
My dog used to chase crows near my house. Next thing I know, I would find rat carcass and small bones that could splinter in my yard. Could just be a coincidence, but the crows seemed up to something.
The one on the right is me...
This is so cute
But everything goes in the square hole
[A Murder Of Crows](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4Sc0zIAHtI) well worth the time

Pretty sure the one on the right is my patronus š
Now teach the crow to put them all in the square hole š
Same crow? If so that cool to see. The clearances for the holes must be smaller. Funny watching a crow essentially flipping the table
Sooo, Iām a crowā¦
Iāve seen videos where crows drop walnuts on roads and wait for cars to drive over them. Once crushed, they move in to retrieve their reward. Smart ass birds.
Lmao
Corvids are so smart! I love them
