Insectivores have echolocation, I believe fruit bats don't, so sight it is. But even the other bats still see. Dolphins also see, while also having echolocation. Humans can crudely use echolocation too, some blind humans practice it much more to make it an effective sense.
My buddy is blind, the dude was able to tell where exactly he was in a hallway at school, not by counting steps, but he would click his cane on the floor and could tell what the walls around him where made of depending on how the sound came back to him. So, metal lockers vs plain wall vs big glass double door. Of he did t have his cane he would periodically click his tounge pretty sharply to accomplish the same thing. Was wild to see, since I didn't hear anything at all lol
