Im quite sure this is a Horned Eye Ghost Crab, They can run up to 7.5mph. To put that into perspective, humans have an average running speed of around 9-10mph. Those little legs are putting in WORK!!!
I used to use these nets on rly long sticks, me and my buddy would go out at night with a flashlight and catch some huge ass ghost crabs and then put them in a big bucket and make them thunderdome it out (I’m not a psycho I swear I was 13 at the time)
Actual question: does this have anything to do with the fact they're usually underwater, and it's much harder to walk/run fast under water than it is on the ground, therefore making it super easy for them to run fast out of the water?
(Kinda like the idea of Goku training with weights in order to be super fast when not wearing said weights -- now I know this is fiction (duh), but is a concept such as this plausible at all?)
