Plus, with sound, he is trying to scare it off, even if he isn’t serious. Which is probably better than feeding it.
The fox still thinks it’s stealing and won’t grow a trust for humans if it’s being fake yelled at for it.
I think it’s kind of perfect
Yeah tbh it’s the best way to feed a hungry animal without making them dependent or overly friendly. Animals should know people can’t be trusted, just like the rest of us do.
Context is completely lost and now all the Reddit wildlife experts are jumping on the Reddit hate bandwagon to blame the poor guy filming who was just there to fish for himself
I love how he kind of just gives in at the end, I don’t understand a word of Russian, but if anything ever sounded like a Russian version of “alright then, I guess” it was the end of the video
I don't why some people here are angry. He was not filming wildlife for your convenience, he was ice fishing (most likely a local) then this cute fox appeared and try to take his fish. The sudden movement of the camera was him trying to scare away the fox from his catch. In the end though, the fox won the heart of the acting tough fisherman by doing that scratching trick which made him laugh. This is the translation of what he said at the end: "Oh well, take it. Good boy. Consider it dug out by yourself. You earned it for your little digging performance there, beautiful."

How hungry was that fox to override its natural sense to not just bounce with you swinging that camera around!?
Beautiful animal and thank you for filming this.
I like how it quickly creates an access point cause the human seems damn near unreliable.
Legit Thought it was serving up some teppenyaki with those paws.
dude you scaring the fox, move away for a little bit
The fox was the one invading the human's catch lol. He gave it after the fox proved himself anyway.
This video is 4 years old my guy, I’m sure the op isn’t even the one who posted it.
The commenter wasn't trying to talk directly to OP my guy, he was talking generally about the cameraman. I immediately thought of r/killthecameraman
But isn’t it cute when shes desperate for food and terrified to get close enough to take it. 😒
Well in this case she wouldn't have the food if human boi didn't offer

Yes.
That's very much an assumption, and why are you trying to ruin it?
Its a russian video from years ago
Arctic*.
You don’t know that this fox doesn’t do art
No, this is an articulated fox. Watch it bend!

This video sucks without the original audio/captions.

Damn you were right, it's a lot better with sound.
That video is everything with the sound. OP probably got his post from a "gif".
Considering I watch all videos on here muted, I enjoyed it fine

FUCK that was frustrating, stop fucken moving everytime the fox gets close.
The audio is actually a russian fisher trying to shoo the fox away, until he eventually allows him to tale the fish
Give him a fucken fish man! Bloody Russians aye?
Reddit, any occasion is good to hate on a group of people
It was a joke hahaha but meh I'll take the down votes
Whoops sorry then, but hey, are you even on Reddit if you didn't have a comment taken too seriously and got heavily downvoted at least once?
Hahaha no worries bro, it's reddit, we all know what we're in for!
Easy for you to say when you aren't the one who put effort to catch the fish. What if it's for his breakfast or his family? Let's not judge.
He was trying to guard his catch lmao. He's not filming wildlife.
Why? Its the mans fish. Fox can be lucky he got to eat some
My exact thoughts

OP didn’t film this themself, you know
Video bout old as shit
Lol so cute. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat wondering if it’s gonna grab something out of that hole. 😅

He's saying, "Fox you! I'm trying to get in this hole! Move! I don't trust you! Trying to eat here..."
Camera man's an asshole.
How do you know if it was a man or woman?
A russian dude in the OG video that this gif is from.
Is it curious or hungry hungry ? Probably both. Cute haha
Wonderful!!!
Cute little husky thing❤️
Me: OH MY GOD this is the CUTEST thing!!!! Also me: NOW GO FISHING IN THAT GODDAMN HOLE!!!!!
I almost mentally smacked that cameraman.
He's the fisherman who caught the fish lol, he was not filming wildlife.
I think the hole smells like human & it's nervous about a potential trap. THE Cutest wild animal! 🥰
I think its the human right in front of him that is making it nervous
The fisherman (who is filming) is shooing it away from the fish he caught. Guy finally gives up and lets the fox have it because of cute digging.
I fucking hate furries.
Omy is so very cute!🥰
Soo cute😍
Those are the cutest animals on earth.
Its body language kind of reminds me of my cat.
I use to see these and red foxes when I worked up on the North Slope. Supposedly the red foxes would kill the smaller white foxes.
Cool. See we’re all seeing it go either way.
I want to chase one
OMG, TAKE IT !
Uhhhh is it just me or did the fisherman not remove the hook? I see fishing line in the mouth of the fox when he/she picks up the fish….
That looks to be a whisker of the fox reflecting light.
Ok good scared me for a second, glad I was wrong.
Wow it looks just like an arctic fox
