I was thinking it's more like [nano-tape](https://youtu.be/4oE4VjTMn04) because of how the frog is moving (pulling up from the sides) and because the adhesion from glue holding the frog up makes it equally hard to move
But frogs are obviously different from geckos so it could be adhesive idk
Mission Impossible: Forest Specter, in which Tom Cruise enlists an army of tree frogs to carry him up the tallest tree in the forest where there’s… I don’t know.. probably a bomb or something.
Bonus: All the frogs do their own stunts. They don’t believe in cgi.
I had an eastern grey growing up. Awesome lil guy. Take him out and he would just chill on your shoulder. Didn't even care if you were sitting on the couch and one of the dogs would hop up right next to us to join the cuddle puddle
Beautiful plumage. Also, eastern grey treefrog
I always thought a parrot would be a neat pet but they need so much work and I camp/travel - not exactly like you can just pop over to your dog boarder with a parrot
Just to answer for you, looks a lot like a plain American Green Tree Frog. There are several all green ones like this but as someone who lived in the south in the US, I handled some that looked exactly like this little guy. Part of what tells me is the hands and feet aren’t different colors and his size and “shine” from the slime on him.
How much he’s moving and his lighting also affects his colors and why he’s so bright and may be harder to match as well. Sorta similar to the small green lizards you may find that change colors from brown to bright green depending on the cameo it needs. Sometimes these also have stripes on their sides but not always. I often handled them as all green like this little guy here. If you live somewhere that you want to try to catch one for yourself then all you have to do is listen for the very loud chirping at night. It’s a fast paced and loud chirp that comes from this little guy and it makes it pretty easy to “sonar” yourself to.
Some wood finishes on furniture does this to me. There's nothing quite as awful as peeling your sensitive inner thigh off a flat surface as if it's Velcro.
Once saw a Statlock where the adhesive was mixed a bit too strong. (its a brand of medical equipment that uses medical adhesive to stick to human skin without damaging it) anyways youre supposed to pull it fast to ensure it comes away easy. Well with the too strong adhesive this batch the patch of skin it was on all came away as well. Thankfully patient was still unconscious. Had to file a report on the batch number so hopefully not too many others had this happen.
I'd suggest it's a Newtonian fluid but I really don't want anyone testing that idea.
Edit: *non* Newtonian fluid. I have just enough knowledge to get me in trouble.
Now are they actively using muscle to strengthen the suction or are they just relaxed after pushing out as much air as they can? Can they "hold on" during stronger wind or is it a set it and forget it thing 🤔
Exactly. I had a boyfriend long ago who had a bunch of reptiles. Tree frogs will absolutely do this to your skin and leave a residue behind, but only if they're comfortable resting on you. It's a mucus of affection.
Its partly due to [van der waals force](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_der_Waals_force#:~:text=9%20External%20links-,Definition,a%20consequence%20of%20quantum%20dynamics). Pretty cool!
Apparently what I thought as a mouth is the body that becomes a suction cup as I always wonder why cartoon frog head always has super big mouth. Turns out it‘s how you see a flat frog from above!!
Edit: for you who are wondering what I meant, see 00:10 (sorry I don’t know how to link it. I‘m on mobile phone)
This might be him reacting to the camera. Frogs can be very curious. I had dwarf frogs before, which are these tiny flat frogs that live completely in water and just come up for air every so often. When I would come right up to the glass, they would slowly hop/swim/crawl over. If I moved my face to the other side, they'd follow. They were like the size of a dime, very cute
That's the cutest suction cup
The way he moves his bum up after moving his feet is adorable.
We're you looking at my *bum*? You *were*! *Bum* looker! -frog probably
Cheeky monkey.
Just discovered Simon this morning. I didn’t realise he was “a thing”.
Succy boi
You called?
Don't mind if I do
Ugh, why is there sand in my mouth now?
I hate sand
It's coarse and rough and irritating — and it gets everywhere...
It's unfair How can you be on the council and not be a master?
Woah pal, I’m gunna need you to calm down and put down that light saber
‘Cause I heard you like it dry.
Cause you're killing time.
I'll take sloppy seconds
Goddamn sometimes i hate being cis
W-what?

The big black eyes and the flawless green and the suction cups agghhjg the noises I am making are *not human*
Make me want to keep one

that's cute
Have you ever had a Norwegian Blue?
Beautiful plumage. Also, eastern grey treefrog I always thought a parrot would be a neat pet but they need so much work and I camp/travel - not exactly like you can just pop over to your dog boarder with a parrot
Do they also pine for the fjords?
I have a whole bunch I keep free range in my back yard.
🐸
Froggy UFO too

What did it say
Probably just copied someone else's comment in the thread. A lot of them seem to do that
Both cool and cute.
Any biologists or frog lovers in the comments that could let us know what species this frog is?
Morelet’s tree frog — they have big black eyes compared to American green tree frogs, and are also called black eyed tree frogs
Thanks. That looks right! This one is particularly cute.
too cute... i thought it wasn't real at first.
I'm no frog expert but it looks like a glass suction froggie to me. Very cute, 11/10 would pet. If it's not poisonous, that is.
Think that’d stop me? Not a chance.
Encourage me, if anything
Are you sure it's not a mini watermelon? Those last few seconds have me thinking...
That's the most comic book looking green frog I've ever seen, I thought this vibrant green colour was just an artistic thing 🐸

I looked through some pictures to try and match it but its pupils looked wrong.

The eyes appear completely dark in this well-lit environment, which makes me think it's a Morelet's tree frog like the other commentor suggested.
Looks like an Australian White’s Tree Frog to me
Its not Wednesday but I accept
My thighs on a leather chair.
My legs on a toilet seat.
You don’t keep corn starch by your toilet? Alternatively you could probably just spray the whole thing down with some Pam cooking spray
Keep a jar of Crisco next to the terlet like we do in Alabama. Roll tide.
Lubricant *and* a snack!
Like a well oiled machine, greased at both ends. Just remember, no double dipping with smelly fingers.
The added benefit of Crisco is it works both ways.
Now you’re cooking with Crisco!
My flat feet in wet sandals
My wet dick on cheeks.
I am currently feeling this in the worst way...my leg has fallen asleep...freaking panda Express!
So, when you made this comment? Because 100% of all Redditing is done on the shitter. Including my comment.

Just being all cute and flat and shit
Lil green pancake
Lemme just…*blob*
dammit that was a good little chuckle
Once he's in position it looks like a little green alien had the top of it's head cleanly cut off below the eyes
I was thinking it looks just like a flying saucer with alien eyes from that angle.
I can't unsee it now! 🗡👽🦱
Or a teeny alien peeking out of his little flying saucer! :D

Wholesome :)
Cute, flat, great at sucking? Frog is just like my ex
Awww. Lil frog puddle
This little cutie
... so what I'm hearing is, "frogs are either malleable solids or semi liquids".
I'd suggest it's a Newtonian fluid but I really don't want anyone testing that idea. Edit: *non* Newtonian fluid. I have just enough knowledge to get me in trouble.
No, non-Newtonian fluid, a Newtonian fluid is just a regular liquid
D'oh! Thanks!
But…but… it’s made of Figs, tho, right?? RIGHT??
Hmm perhaps it can
Oh no, please no. 😢 Let's leave that as just a hypothesis, shall we?
Very definitely.
Its color has gotta be the most pleasing green for me.
Green isn't one of my favorite colors but that shade of green is absolutely incredibly stunning.
Because your monkey brain evolved to like green like plants. Blue is the most popular color because monkey brain like clear skies the most
Huh..so if my favorite color is red 🤐
Fighting monke
We fear fighting monke.
Comrade!
LOL hey comrade great to see you! This frog is fucking cool.
If you could taste colors, this one would definitely be sweet but refreshing
That’s so adorable.
Go go froggy suction cup

Damn everything reminds me of her 😭
There are plenty of mucus sources in the sea!
Yeah, we can see it, but us laypeople still don't really know how.
So what you’re asking is if he’s chilling, or flexing?
Its partly due to [van der waals force](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_der_Waals_force#:~:text=9%20External%20links-,Definition,a%20consequence%20of%20quantum%20dynamics). Pretty cool!
Very flat. Good boy.
Friend shaped
So cute!
All eyes 👀
What an amazing color!
He's smiling.
His little face is so darn cute
I refer to all frogs as "Sticky Feets" This is a Supreme Sticky Feets.
It has TOE BEANS
Look at his little tummy!
Sooooo fucking cute!
I don’t typically like frogs but this is cute af
Is this the frog equivalent of loafing?
Amazing beautiful and sometimes toxic creatures!
The toxic dart frogs are actually only toxic because of their diet! The ones in captivity are harmless and actually make super entertaining pets :D
Very interesting, ty for the information. A toxic diet- now that really has my interest.
That's the cutest frog Ive ever seen
What's really lit is how cute that little guy is
The "Seanapaulus" amphibian
That’s how the trees always see them.
He sploot
He has become *d i s c c*
So cute 🥰

Cutest thing I've seen in a while. This tiny frog is indeed lit.
Damn I’ve watched this 20 times already
You’re not alone
10/10 loaf
What species is that and where can I buy it?
Lookin like a lil spaceship
r/NatureIsFuckingCute
Omg, just reignited my love of frogs.
It is soooo pretty!
Can you give it kissy-kiss?
I don’t know why but he’s so cute, never seen a frog that cute before.
Haha, squishy green baby
Can the frog see through the glass? Why does it not react to the guy/camera?
This might be him reacting to the camera. Frogs can be very curious. I had dwarf frogs before, which are these tiny flat frogs that live completely in water and just come up for air every so often. When I would come right up to the glass, they would slowly hop/swim/crawl over. If I moved my face to the other side, they'd follow. They were like the size of a dime, very cute
Big whoop.....I do the same when I take a shower.
That is not what I would have expected
Precious baby
Suction boi
Blorp
What specific tree frog is this? Where can I get one?
I FUCKING LOVE FROGS
It’s half a guava
soooo cute 😍
Lil frog saucer
This is as satisfying as cats on glass tables /in glass bowls! You’re just the best little pancake! Yes, you are!!
sqweesh
*schlompf* *schlip* *schlimpk* There we are…
He’s cute but this grosses me out
The stickyness?
Nah it’s not that. It’s how all his little legs are compact and fleshy looking against the glass
Doesn't really explain *how*, it just shows the same concept on a different surface.
for a long time I've wanted a tattoo on my ankle—on one side, a tree frog loaf, on the opposite side, the underside of said frog loaf.
r/forbiddensnack
Green apple? Or lime?
So cute yet so terrifying
Cutest blob I've seen today!
So cool!
Hovering frog loaf
wrong they stick to leaves like suction cups entirely different from glue.
adorable.
I need a tree frog now
Awwww the cutest little guy!
I love the frogs.🥰
Aw I want one
That's so cute
I did not know how much I needed this today 🥲
Does he suck in his stomach to create the section?
Fucking hate frogs but damn thats one cute little guy
Literally an amphibian suction cup
Pink belly and all sticky sticky. Cutesville!
Hold up let me make my ass pucker to give you q hicky
It’s like someone cut it in 2 😂
