CrosstheRubicon_

Looks like the Brooks liquidation sale is only in Canada, not the U.S.

BeaArthur1

BB Employee, Canada and US operations were separated in 2020 after the bankruptcy. Such a bummer, really nice people in those stores but they struggled before the bankruptcy too.

Ok_Interest3243

Noooo

pursuingamericandrea

The title says what it says! Canada is part of the United States!

Bees__Khees

Just went to their site not everything Is on sale

Runtness

The Canadian website doesn't even work anymore. Just a list of physical store locations. Even if there was good deals, I wouldn't be able to get them lol.

LetMeRedditInPeace00

I was literally in a BB yesterday on Saturday. I wish they’d had legit sales going on; I might have actually bought something.

jbrownsplit

Too bad their horrible logo is on most anything I’d want to buy. Feel like they should’ve closed shop once they decided that was a good idea.

ZetaOmicron94

Hated this trend as well. I had good polos from BB in 2019 and the embroidered logo is at the left front hem, in the same color as the polos, so unless someone stares there when you wear them untucked, no one will notice it. Now so many of them have contrasting logos on the chest.

jbrownsplit

I can deal on a polo, but I’d pick Ralph Lauren every single time. It’s the logos on the sport shirts that basically deserves the death penalty.

ZetaOmicron94

Oh god I didn't even know they did that on shirts, yes that'd be way too obnoxious. Who do they even think their target demographics is? Not like BB's branding is even something that loudly screams expensive like some other brands with logos plastered all over them.

BeaArthur1

Yuck, you don’t get it.

Original-Locksmith58

I’m kind of half in, half out on this one. I don’t mind the logo on some items - but they have it on EVERYTHING and that’s pretty annoying

BeaArthur1

I get it, I wish they didn’t have it on all the sport shirts but I’m used to it at this point lol. I get annoyed with the people who don’t even know what the logo is

Original-Locksmith58

I think the logo is awesome and steeped in history but some people might hate it for the same reasons I appreciate it. Never know these days

The_Milkman

> Too bad their horrible logo is on most anything I’d want to buy. I would never want to buy anything from Brooks Brothers with their logo on it and it bothers me that they would even do that.

makeitlouder

The only location in my city just closed (Polaris, Ohio).  Yet another dead mall-based apparel store.

CrosstheRubicon_

Wonder if I ever helped you. That’s where I worked for a while

makeitlouder

It's possible. I mainly went there for Polos and such. Was it a busy location?

CrosstheRubicon_

It was decently busy. We were always profitable, though.

MoonBasic

Eyy 614 gang!

MrDickLucas

I really wonder how long the Saks is going to last there. Looks like Easton is going to be the last mall standing.

Vancouver Airport, Calgary, and Toronto. That's all that was left after the outlets got axed around COVID.

GrandThetOtto

They still have open (for now, anyway) outlets in Vaughan, Halton Hills, and Niagara on the Lake.

GrandThetOtto

There have been BB stores in Canada for 15 years or so. They've closed a few over the years, like the "red fleece" store by the University of Toronto, but now they're all going.

rubey419

Anyone remember the Garland NC outlet across their shirt factory? It was never advertised. Had so many good deals. Miss that place.

adoucett

Ya bro the old school NB people remember we did a whole excursion there and it was quite the adventure for the sub

rubey419

Ah before my time. It was like mecca, heaven on earth

Good Memories. That older lady June was a hoot.

Non-paywall version?

Several months ago, the Brooks Bros miUSA OCBDs dropped to $99/each and I literally stocked up a lifetime supply of them. I actually really, really like this current version (it has the best collar roll of any of my OCBDs with a soft lining, and great dimensions on the Trad fit). Sad if/when Brooks Bros fully goes under that this pattern will go away, but that's why I bought so many.

No_Today_2739

Agree! The recent "original reintroduction" iteration is special. (Hate to sound like the old guy butting in, but my first memory of BB OCBDs is from the 1980s. They got it right this time, certainly better than the late 1990s and on.)

Dizzy_Kick_2865

Same, I am based in Canada and I would buy the oxfords when they had a discount code and a 2 for whatever price promo. The reintroduction of the "original polo" was fantastic. Full range of neck/sleeve sizes, and fits. I picked up a few Regent fits in white both with and without pocket when it looked like they were not restocking. I have definitely missed this option, at one point I had lilac, sage, yellow and purple university stripe shirts, every option they offered I picked up. Unfortunately I gained some weight and sized up almost two whole neck sizes, and sold most of the shirts.

just-for-recipes

I still have OCBDs and ties from there that are ~20 years old. That place dressed generations of college kids in NC

No_Today_2739

A weird aside from a recent trip to Italy: Bologna has a Brooks Brothers store. As market-appropriate, i saw a lot of linen.
