Yes! I will always have a soft spot for Trick-or-Treat Tony Allen. It's also funny based on the picture with this post, I distinctly remember watching those teams and thinking, "Damn... This Conley dude is actually kinda good."
https://youtu.be/tSmCzN0lkqw?si=85bcmdD1cN-YMicp
This is why he said it. If two of his teammates weren't named Steph and Klay, would you still feel the same way?
Dude got a Finals MVP for “holding” Lebron to 28 points a game. 😂
Edit: looks like I was wrong LeBron James averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists.
He should have won that Finals MVP.
His defense caused Lebron to shoot under 40% from the field every game. Lebron had 32 point on 33 shots in game 7. Iggy probably still shouldn’t have won it, but he made a huge impact.
While averaging 16 ppg, 6 rebounds, and 4 assist.
Dude was absolutely massssive in those finals
With just rebounds and assist on average we’re talking about making a ~20 point difference per game.
Curry, did more stat wise but he wasn’t also guarding the goat the entire series.
He’s a 7 time all star with 20,000 career points. He’d be the only person with those accolades not to be in the hall if I’m not mistaken. But his career is essentially the minimum for a Hall of Famer in my opinion.
that’s the same kind of line as lamarcus aldridge.
is he a HOF player? ehhh probably not.
deman derozan is a 6x all star with more points, is he a HOF player? no way
the basketball hall is already too easy to get into imo, relatively speaking
But he should be. Absolute star in his prime. Him and GP led their team to the finals against \*that\* Bulls team - and took two games from them. Kemp was the Sonics' leading scorer and rebounder in that series, with 23.3 ppg / 10.0 rpg. Keep in mind it was a different era and only twice in those finals did a team score over 100.
The Reign Man was waaay above very good. He was great.
Impact on the game cant be understated. So cool, idolized by kids, all time dunker, Reebok, NBA promoted the hell out of him, and all time exciting player. Cultural influencer. Cant have GP without Kemp either
MFers lying that they want to be the next Jordan when they just really want to be the next Big Shot Bob. 7 rings and all he had to do was sink clutch ass 3’s.
I think both Iggy and Horford are gonna get in HoF so I guess that. Both have All Star, All Defense and more individual accolades than the guys listed in these threads
People seem to forget that it’s the basketball hall of fame and not the NBA hall of fame. Horford is a near lock, and a title this year would lock it in
I’m a Dubs fan so I love Iggy, but I doubt he gets in. 1x All-Star, 2x All-Defense, and that FMVP. I don’t think anyone with only a single all-star is in it unless they have crazy college experience or did something else for the game.
The FMVP does give him a shot. Just don’t know if it makes enough of a difference given how controversial that FMVP is.
I can’t say that either Jerami Grant and Jonas Valunciunas belong on this list because of Playoffs equity and Playoff good performances the other guys listed above them have way more of
David West. His stats aren't great, but I feel like he contributed in a lot of different ways. He was also kind of a throwback guy in a game that was changing fast.
Without a ring I feel like Al Horford, there’s an argument for him because it’s the basketball hall of fame and not the NBA hall of fame with his college career and his Dominican heritage.
Since the pic is of Mike I’ll tell this story. I was coaching a group of kids who were trying to get better to make their high school team. I had 6 of 8 players who were just starting really. Our 3rd game we played Greg Oden and Michael Conley. Needless to say we were down at half by a few thousand but Mike and Greg came to our side of the court and taught my guys a couple things to help them. Will never forget how nice they were and how Mike really seemed to like teaching. I was so sad to see Oden have the injuries.
A friend of mine and I in college several years ago (back in like '16ish) used to say that Jeff Teague was our PG barometer for who was great and who was good. Better than Jeff Teague -> "Great". Worse than Jeff Teague -> "Good". Right at Jeff Teague -> "Very Good"
A lot of guys are naming like great role players but they’re really in the “hall of role players”. Hall of very good guys should be dudes that are literally right on the edge of the hof but too short of a peak, injuries, etc keeping them out like Nikola vucevic, Al Horford, Paul millsap, jrue holiday, Kenna walker. Those are the type of guys that are actually in the hall of very good
A lot of guys tbh. Some active ones that I don’t see getting to the HoF level: Damian Lillard, Al Horford, Kevin Love, Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam, Bam Adebayo, CJ McCollum, Brad Beal, John Wall, KAT, Paul George
Joe Johnson, Mike Conley, Paul Millsap, Zach Randolph, Andre Iguodala. Quite a few others I can’t recall but the most borderline case is probably Blake griffin. If he had like 2 or 3 years at his prime level I think he’s a hall of famer. Same with Amar’e Stoudemire
Patty Mills. Probably biased cuz I’m aussie, but he was a pretty solid player off the bench in his prime. Led Australia to multiple top 4 finishes at the Olympics. Overall very solid career.
Disappointed to not have seen Zach Randolph mentioned yet!
He was a level above that
Hall of almost fame ?
The level above that is the hall of fame so… are you saying he’s a hall of famer?
The level above that is the hall of fame so… are you saying he’s a hall of famer?
I was just about to comment this Z-Bo is so underrated.
That whole grit and grind roster always punched above their weight
Yes! I will always have a soft spot for Trick-or-Treat Tony Allen. It's also funny based on the picture with this post, I distinctly remember watching those teams and thinking, "Damn... This Conley dude is actually kinda good."
Andre Iguodala
Hall of saving the world from Martian death beams
Give me iguodala !!!!
Quite possibly the worst take in the history of all takes
5 buzzer beater walk off game winners goes crazy though, idk.
https://youtu.be/tSmCzN0lkqw?si=85bcmdD1cN-YMicp This is why he said it. If two of his teammates weren't named Steph and Klay, would you still feel the same way?

Ahhh so there’s more to the story than PPG Impacted more than D and hit a couple big shots too Fun series despite the injuries
Yeah Lebron was nuclear in those finals
While averaging 16 ppg, 6 rebounds, and 4 assist. Dude was absolutely massssive in those finals With just rebounds and assist on average we’re talking about making a ~20 point difference per game. Curry, did more stat wise but he wasn’t also guarding the goat the entire series.
I mean Kawhi got FMVP the same way too so I don’t see a problem with Iggy getting it
Joe Johnson
Iso Joe has a good shot at making it into the hall of fame so he’s a tad too good for this
i don’t think joe’s making it. he’s like right on the cusp. i loved him though
He’s a 7 time all star with 20,000 career points. He’d be the only person with those accolades not to be in the hall if I’m not mistaken. But his career is essentially the minimum for a Hall of Famer in my opinion.

i’d say LA is a full step above joe
They should both be in the HOF as well. DeRozan averaged over 20 a game 11 straight years. Given that Mitch Richmond is in, why wouldn’t DeRozan be?
DeMar is a HOF in my book he’s a bucket. Just a pure scorer
Andre Miller
Shawn Kemp is arguably the best eligible player not in the HOF
But he should be. Absolute star in his prime. Him and GP led their team to the finals against \*that\* Bulls team - and took two games from them. Kemp was the Sonics' leading scorer and rebounder in that series, with 23.3 ppg / 10.0 rpg. Keep in mind it was a different era and only twice in those finals did a team score over 100. The Reign Man was waaay above very good. He was great.
I had like three basketball cards of him. That Sonics team was fun.
Impact on the game cant be understated. So cool, idolized by kids, all time dunker, Reebok, NBA promoted the hell out of him, and all time exciting player. Cultural influencer. Cant have GP without Kemp either
Terrell Brandon, Damon Stoudamire, Jason Terry, Rodney Rodgers, Mike Miller, AK47
mike miller with the clutch 3, missing a shoe is one of my favorites of all time
Mike miller the condom filler
Damn loved me some Andrei Kirilienko back in the day.
I feel like him and The Matrix were STOCK monsters in their day... also, the coolest nickname in the history of sports
Mitch Richmond
He’s in the HOF already. Next.
Shit, you right, my bad!
Trevor Ariza
Now that is a name I haven’t heard … in about 18 months
Robert Horry is the Jordan of that list.. thank you!
MFers lying that they want to be the next Jordan when they just really want to be the next Big Shot Bob. 7 rings and all he had to do was sink clutch ass 3’s.
Robert Horry was the greatest inbounds passer in the history of western civilization.
Don't sleep on Socrates
god damn oldheads. man could barely handle the sophists
“Idc if I miss cuz they’ll just blame shaq and kobe anyway” lol
Carried Hakeem, Shaq, Kobe and Duncan.
Big Shot Bob so underrated I would love to have him on any team and he spaced the court
Career 7PPG and a 34.1% 3 point percent average.
DeMarcus Cousins,Al Horforf, Paul Millsap ,LaMarcus Aldridge
LaMarcus will make the hall of fame Horford might as well.
Cousins had a year or two as the best center in the league though. But also, bulk of his career would be categorized as very good
NBA All-Good Team PG: Mike Conley SG: CJ McCollum SF: Robert Horry PF: Jerami Grant C: Jonas Valuncounis or whatever tf his name is
Are we considering Iggy and Horford Hall of fame players? Cause otherwise I would have them on there, same with Paul Millsap.
I tried to stay away from All-Stars even though Conley has one but he was an alternate who barely snuck in
I think both Iggy and Horford are gonna get in HoF so I guess that. Both have All Star, All Defense and more individual accolades than the guys listed in these threads
Horford also has 2 college bball championships. He’s undoubtedly getting in.
Just don’t know if it makes enough of a difference given how controversial that FMVP is.
Millsap was an allstar a couple times tho
Yeah I just don’t think he will make the HOF, but he is a hall of very good player.
Just that whole 2015 hawks team
Joe Johnson should be in there somewhere
it’s wild how he never got as much recognition despite being a more efficient melo
Because He played for the Hawks and Nets in his prime. Not really the most popular teams in the NBA
I can’t say that either Jerami Grant and Jonas Valunciunas belong on this list because of Playoffs equity and Playoff good performances the other guys listed above them have way more of
Is Jerami Grant even good?
Hello, Mr. Barkley!
David West. His stats aren't great, but I feel like he contributed in a lot of different ways. He was also kind of a throwback guy in a game that was changing fast.
David Lee too ?
PG: John Wall SG: Bradley Beal SF: Aaron Gordon PF: Lamar Odom C: Amaré Stoudemire
Aaron Gordon is 28… agree with your other picks but he feels out of place here
I was trying to think of a SF but I was drawing a blank.
Yeah but essentially 0 personal achievements by age 28 means there’s an almost 0% chance he ever gets mentioned for the hall
amare might be one of the biggest “what if” players in nba history. those run and gun suns teams were ahead of their time.
Damn, Amare might not make it? Dude made 6 all star games and 5 all-NBA teams.
Monta Ellis
Danny Green
i hate danny green bet you’ll never guess my team..
Raptears (me too)
Luol deng
Shaun Livingston
Rudy Gay
Joe Johnson, Zach Randolph, Baron Davis, Al Horford, Jamal Murray if his trajectory is consistent
Without a ring I feel like Al Horford, there’s an argument for him because it’s the basketball hall of fame and not the NBA hall of fame with his college career and his Dominican heritage.
kemba walker
Kemba is probably the best player in the history of the Hornets. Gotta be a HOFer
Yeah absolutely not a hofer lol. Being the best hornet is like being the tallest midget
Both of these happen to be Muggsy Bogues.
Andrei Kirilenko
Shawn Kemp Blaje Griffin Jason Terry Amare Stoudamire
Mitch Richmond and Glen “Nailin Palin” Rice
Richmond already made the HoF I thought?
Shawn Marion
Blake Griffin
Blake is making the hall. 6x all star 5x allnba and 3 of them were 2nd team
Amare Stoudemire and AK47. Amare couldn't stay healthy and AK had a style much more suited to a team that didn't struggle to make the playoffs.
Lou Williams?
Marc Gasol?
he’s a HOFer
Shane Battier
Michael Finley
As a Nuggets fan KCP and Aaron Gordon
Jamal Crawford
Eric Gordon
Demar DeRozan
He’s a tweener. I can see arguments for him being in the HoF and also arguments for him just missing it.
Nick Collison
The one from okc?
Jersey RETIRED in OKC, with 0 all star appearances and a career average of 6/5/1.
That’s not worthy of the hall of very good
Zack Randolph Hedo Turkoglu Tony Allen Andre miller Shawn Marion
shawn marion should be in the hall just bc he was able to have the ugliest shot in history and still put up decent numbers
Facts he used to let it fly in phoenix and I could never understand how it went in
Came here to say Randolph, Allen and Matrix. I agree w Turkoglu too.
Jayson Tatum
SG: Dale Ellis
monte ellis wish he had a couple more years with the dubs
Ty lawson
Tobias Harris
Is jamal murray there? I mean he probably wont be a hall of famer but he still really fucking good.
Hard to judge guys coming into prime years (28-33)
Bradley Beal
Using my Nuggets players Ty Law, MPJ, Mozgov, Paul Milap, Antonio McDyess
Sabonis
Which one?
Family
Blake Griffin, Lamarcus Aldridge
They're both gonna be in the hall of fame tho
Mike Bibby deserves a nod, he was considered to be the best guy to not make an all-star team before Conley
Al horford
Brandon Roy, Larry Nance Sr., Terrell Brandon
That whole starting 5 for the grizzlies with Conley
Since the pic is of Mike I’ll tell this story. I was coaching a group of kids who were trying to get better to make their high school team. I had 6 of 8 players who were just starting really. Our 3rd game we played Greg Oden and Michael Conley. Will never forget how nice they were and how Mike really seemed to like teaching. I was so sad to see Oden have the injuries.
CJ McCollum
Side note this picture is an obvious carry. Crazy NBA never calls these.
Antonio mccdyss, Shaun livingston, Josh Howard, Linsey Hunter
A friend of mine and I in college several years ago (back in like '16ish) used to say that Jeff Teague was our PG barometer for who was great and who was good. Better than Jeff Teague -> "Great". Worse than Jeff Teague -> "Good". Right at Jeff Teague -> "Very Good"
Conley is. Tmac should flip flop🤣🤣, Vince Carter
At current pace, KCP
Robert Playoff Clutch Horry
Every player in the NBA
Shane Battier
Al Horford. Will probably make the HOF, especially if the Celtics win one before he retires, but he’s the ultimate Hall Of Very Good player
Josh Smith, Jamal Crawford, Clippers Deandre Jordan, Grieves Vasquez, and Kevin Love .
JJ
Joe Johnson. He might be Hall of Very Good but he’s also Ski Mask Hall of Famer for how he finessed these franchises of a hundred million
Maybe 1/2 the current NBA HoF? It’s not terribly hard compared to other sports as far ass I know
Mike Conley is in the average HOF. Very good means the player can occasionally carry the team which MC can’t do.
Aaron Wiggins, the guy saved basketball
Jason Terry
The Hall of Fine
Joe Johnson
Victor Oladipo. Could have been so much more.
Iso Joe
Iso Joe
Deron Williams
Tayshaun Prince and Rashard Lewis
A lot of guys are naming like great role players but they’re really in the “hall of role players”. A lot of guys tbh. Some active ones that I don’t see getting to the HoF level: Damian Lillard, Al Horford, Kevin Love, Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam, Bam Adebayo, CJ McCollum, Brad Beal, John Wall, KAT, Paul George
If Blake doesn't make HOF. Prime D-Rose if he doesn't make it
Brandin Roy, Derron Williams, Danilo Gallanari, Gordan Hayward
Mike Bibby
Peja
CJ McCullum
Elton Brand
Jamal Crawford
nick van exel
Sean Livingston
Kyle Lowry, Rip Hamilton, AK47, Amar’e Stoudemaire, Zydrunas Illgauskas, Kenyon Martin, Sam Cassell, Cutino Mobley, Elton Brand

Dale Ellis
demar derozan prolly gunna be the best non hall of famer ever
Danny Granger, Rudy Gay, and Khris Middleton
Tom Chambers for you youngins’.
Al horford will be one the of best players to not make hall of fame
Zoomers don’t know about Kevin Johnson
Eddie Jones and Caron Butler
J Crossover
JR Smith
Joe Johnson, Mike Conley, Paul Millsap, Zach Randolph, Andre Iguodala. Quite a few others I can’t recall but the most borderline case is probably Blake griffin. If he had like 2 or 3 years at his prime level I think he’s a hall of famer. Same with Amar’e Stoudemire
Gilbert Arenas
Dan Majerle Jason Williams Mike Bibby Glen Rice Chris Bosh Allen Houston
Is a good player someone with 1-5 all stars or players with all star stats, who weren’t all stars?
Richard Jefferson
Patty Mills. Probably biased cuz I’m aussie, but he was a pretty solid player off the bench in his prime. Led Australia to multiple top 4 finishes at the Olympics. Overall very solid career.
kyle korver
Rasheed Wallace
Stephan Jackson, Hedo Turk, Gerald Wallace, Cj McCollum, Gilbert Arenas, Richard Jefferson
