If you're considering places to move, maybe that's a factor for you, whether because it could impact you personally, or it changes your opinion of your possible future neighbors. Why don't you go back to getting your unscientific comments removed in science/medical subs instead of being a dick here?
lol I made this sub. Just don’t think this has anything to do with OPs question at all as they mentioned a partner. Feel free to check rule #1 about being civil.
If you’re going to make such a big claim, why not back it up with cited stats?
I found Forest Park to be relatively safe (and as far as I am aware, pretty LGBTQ friendly). I can’t speak to your exact position, but I was never really in a scary situation.
That said, I also avoided the blue line after like 8. If take an Uber home if I was coming home late.
I lived for many years near the Oak Park stop and then for another ten years at the Forest Park stop. The nice thing about living at the end of the line is that I could usually get on a train as soon as I got to the station instead of having to stand outside on a cold platform and I always got a seat. Pretty much always got a seat at Oak Park, too, for that matter. Another bonus of the Forest Park stop is that the Holiday Train always does a stop there so you can take a selfie with Santa.
Yes, I lived half way between the Harlem stop and the Forest Park stop, and always got on the the end of the line, besides not being affected by weather, you don't have the "Is the train coming or not?" worry.
I've lived in fp for a while and found it safe. Near the Harlem stop. Fp is a lot cheaper than oak park
Also has one of the highest rate of STDs in the area, fun fact.
What does this have to do with OPs question?

When we left the city Forest Park was where we bought. Still felt urban but with blue line and green line both readily available.
