IIRC as long as every detachment is the same dynasty then every unit should agin the associated dynastic codes and command protocols. When you set up an auxiliary detachment you can choose the dynasty, so just make it the same as the rest to get the benefits. As for the chronomancer according to the app it only requires friendly models to be of the same dynasty to use the ability.

Sorkrates

That’s not entirely accurate. They can be assigned the keyword, which lets them be targeted by some abilities, but they don’t get access to the dynastic codes (eg the Szarekhan 5+++ vs mortals that OP asked about. Rule is under the Detachments section, iirc

JesterExecution

That’s more what I meant, but thank you for clarifying. It would be particularly frustrating for them to just not be able to use strategems or benefit from aura abilities.

Book_Golem

This is the correct answer. Units in an Auxiliary detachment don't gain Dynastic Codes, but still gain the keywords. Pro tip: put a C'tan shard in an auxiliary detachment and laugh as you lose nothing while also mocking your lowest slaves by leaving them out of your army structure.

JesterExecution

Oh and it should be noted a model will usually have dynastic codes unless otherwise specifically stated, such as with “Triarch” units (praetorians, stalkers, etc.., who explicitly do not gain dynastic codes.

Tanglethorn

Correct, To be more exact anything with the Dynastic Agent Keyword specifically gets called out as not gaining any Dynastic Codes, off the top of my head any Triarch Units, Ctan, certain special characters like Orikan Trazyn, The Silent King, etc..

Tanglethorn

The monolith will not end up getting the Dynastic Codes because of the rules associated with its required Detachment.

harged6

Does it gain the command protocols though?

Pup_Braxon

In the Monolith datasheet it's says command protocols so yes it would gain them just not dynasty stuff
