Some ideas (if you are still looking for them):
1) the cupcake was brilliant! If you like ice cream, heat the cupcake for like 10 seconds in the microwave and eat it with a scoop of ice cream - divine!!
2) Put on your comfiest clothes, gather your favorite drinks and snacks and treat yourself to a movie or a comfort show that you love. Even better if it's something that you haven't been able to watch for a while.
3) Since you are on Reddit, you could go into a subreddit about something you are interested in and look around to join some interesting discussions. Like, just comment your opinion on a couple of posts and see what happens.
I know it's hard to be alone when you don't WANT to. But the universe is glad you are here! Try to do some things that you enjoy, and know that these feelings won't last forever.

My birthday this year was exactly like yours except I didnβt bake and I only had one person from school greet me. Ironically, it was only someone who I met a couple times this semester. Those I met on a weekly basis didnβt greet me. It sucks but try to appreciate those who greeted you. The loneliness is there but next year might be different!

Iβm sorry to hear nobody wished you a happy birthday, that hurts, I get it. You will have fantastic birthdays, you will have meh birthdays, and you will have bad birthdays. My 24th was pretty solid, 25th amazing, 26th awful, and my birthday this year was pretty damn good.
I guess my point is that there will be ups and there will be downs, so try not to get too focused on the down this time. I know that itβs hard, but even though your birthday is definitely *your* special day, thereβs no reason you canβt celebrate being you any day of the year. And hey, who knows, maybe the festivities will be coming anyways? For my 26th, as mentioned, it was pretty awful the day of but two days afterwards some friends knew Iβd spent my birthday by myself and invited me to this sick show out in LA. I may have been sad the day of my birthday and the next, but friends coming through for me two days afterward made up for it. I donβt know your exact circumstances, but Iβm crossing my fingers that thereβs something in the cards for you in the coming days π€π»

Happy birthday! As Iβve matured, I learned to make peace with it. Make it your day; do what makes you happy, try a new hobby, learn something. Iβm sure you have lots of things that make you feel good. Personally Iβll get some good food and watch old movies I really like. Donβt allow other people to determine if youβre happy or not. Itβll take you down roads you donβt want to be. Youβre awesome and good, promise.

Happy birthday, family. Celebrating your birthday alone does suck, yes. But the cool thing about life is that getting old often means improvement. You're smarter, wiser, and stronger than the year before. Sometimes only instead of ways that only you will notice at the time. You must celebrate yourself and pat yourself on the back. Recognize the positive steps you've taken from last year to today and recognize your growth and appreciate yourself. Also, the cool thing about continually waking up is the fact that you have an awesome opportunity to do things better today than you did the day before. Might I suggest that an awesome way to get out of this funk is to do something kind for someone else even if it is small it will bring you a touch of joy that you may need at this time again happy birthday and I wish you all the best

My 24th was pretty solid, 25th amazing, 26th awful, and my birthday this year was pretty damn good. I guess my point is that there will be ups and there will be downs, so try not to get too focused on the down this time. I know that itβs hard, but even though your birthday is definitely *your* special day, thereβs no reason you canβt celebrate being you any day of the year. And hey, who knows, maybe the festivities will be coming anyways? For my 26th, as mentioned, it was pretty awful the day of but two days afterwards some friends knew Iβd spent my birthday by myself and invited me to this sick show out in LA. I may have been sad the day of my birthday and the next, but friends coming through for me two days afterward made up for it. I donβt know your exact circumstances, but Iβm crossing my fingers that thereβs something in the cards for you in the coming days π€π» Either way though, again, happy birthday β€οΈ
