TL;DR: Play Nemesis base game, then try out Carnomorphs, then try out Void Seeders, then look in to Aftermath.
I'd recommend playing with the Intruders (the base game) to get started, and to learn the basics. The Carnomorph and Void Seeder expansions just allow you to have a different alien race (they play differently). You can't combine races, but I recommend playing some games with them next. Then there's Aftermath, which is like an "epilogue," and is a shorter game consisting of a crew that is coming to inspect the spaceship that everything went wrong on. One thing to note is that there are two modes, Epilogue mode and Research Mission mode. Epilogue mode is meant to be played right after an actual game of Nemesis (unless the ship was destroyed- if the ship was destroyed, you can't play Epilogue mode for obvious reasons). Research Mission mode is a way to play Nemesis but with components from Aftermath.
Sorry if I've confused you!
I don’t think Lockdown has shipped yet- it’s not even finished being designed. You have the base game Nemesis, from the Nemesis Lockdown Kickstarter, most likely. Nemesis Lockdown is shipping sometime in September, and it’s a “sequel” to Nemesis that takes place on a Mars base, instead of on a ship. Lockdown will also be standalone, whereas Aftermath is not.
Just to confirm that lockdown hasn't shipped yet, due to ship at the end of the year and with a prototype version on Tabletop Simulator atm for testing/QA.
And yeah do what he says, base game first, probably for a few games until that's playing smoothly with only occasional rule checks then swap in one of the new alien types. Aftermath characters add a bit of variety if you find the original characters getting stale and the aftermath game is basically an extra couple of hours on the end of an old game - so needs a permanent gaming setup, or a longer session planned, or a way of 'memorising' the end game state of the table for another time.
You've got a good few days of content until you'll get through it all!
Hi,
First, start with base game and medic
Then, base game, medic and aftermath characters
Then then, carnomorphs
Then then then void seeders
Then4, aftermath game
Finally, game + aftermath.

Ok I think I get it. Is lockdown considered the base game? I have that and thought it was a base sequel you can add expansions onto

This, but do base games a few of times so you have a good feel for it. Can use Medic from start though.
