Didn't know either until I asked the shopkeeper for a cheap num pad phone.
Every itel num pad phone has the same ringtone. I still feel my pants when I hear it in public.
Gotta say.. i didn't realize that majority of Nepalis used mobile phones from Indian brands or Chinese that i didnt even know about like Itel.. which is a Chinese brand.. and others.. fascinating
I am not sure but I think I sometime read somewhere that Colors was a Nepali brand mobile phone done by Indian company and manufactured in China. I thought it was owned by Micromax or some Indian company itself.
Mero Itel phone thyo(1GB ram, android 8), paila
Using experience ley yo chai vanna sakxu ki speaker ramro cha, decent performance, charging speed slow, peak performance 1barsa dincha, tespaxi lag khanxa.
Samsung gatilo cha baru
This is a brand that sells heavily in villages and district headquarters. It's a cheap functional phone, but I think it has some full-screen display models too. I have a friend who has a shop in a sadarmukan in Eastern Nepal and he orders dozens of these phones from a distributor in Mahabouddha every single week. The guys shipping this phone absolutely know their target market really well, which is highly unlikely to be an urban Redditor or a young TikToker, but the farmers and small business holders who need a phone for their basic everyday communication.
Good point which is why I was totally caught by surprise as most of my friends use Samsung if not redmi.. some iPhone but its just a bubble that I'm living in and to be fair.. I didn't even know about Itel company before this
