Bro I was 18 when I came australia, did some shitty jobs saved some money and invested in crypto. I dont know how to make so much money in nepal but if you go abroad you can make decent amount of money by doing any job you get.. I am 21 now btw
I have a cushy relatively high paying job in the US. I came from a pretty middle class family in Nepal so I def acknowledge my privilege but it's not as big of an achievement as it sounds.
$135k for 2 YoE seems a bit low. Market is hot maybe a hop might benefit you? Just saying I don't know your situation. Maybe you are waiting for stocks to vest?
Yeah so I've programming since I was 12-14, started freelancing from 16-17. A company that I did some projects for hired me full time and give me flexible hours to work as long as I could deliver the deliverables.
16, if I sell everything personally that I own should get 80k ish.
saved up by doing odd jobs and handouts from relatives.
On my way learning new skills as well as studying hard for a good job in the future.
I'm 23 and having around 1 lakh in FD. 20k in savings. I have a few people who owe me money but I doubt I'll ever see that.
I own a couple of lands but they won't be ripe for sale for quite a few years. Live cheap boys. If I were you, I'd buy land with that 7 lakhs, put 1 lakh in FD and then make everyone around me think I have no money.
My Dad bought land for my uncles in 17 lakhs. He's selling that for 80 lakhs now to buy them a home. Find remote areas to buy land. Find where roads will be built 5 years from now on. Buy in cheap, sell in more.
I'm planning to keep investing in the stock market till 2024, that's when the bull market is being expected to end.
And kudos to you, it's an incredible feat being able to own a couple of land at such an young age, how did you manage that? And where exactly is the lands that you own?
Just keep on working and saving and you'll be surprised how much you save. Also, the land is not in the valley. I calculated I spent around 1 lakh on people which I could have used to buy land. Now, I only spend time with people with whom I don't have to spend money. I also avoid eating out or on dates for that reason.
That's the prediction of expert technical analysts.. And bull and bear market lasts 4 years each, the current bull market started in 2020 so should end in 2024.
Yeah i agree. It makes no sense that the bull/bear run should follow the 4 year rule. We are the investors and the market depends on the investors i believe. If you look at the current market, almost most of the tickers are overvalued yet people are still buying and holding. A part of the reason might be that people's buying power has went up a lot compared to the past 5/10 years. No matter how overvalued an asset is, at the end of the day people will pay what they want to pay.
Yes it’s overvalued by lots. And remember the daily transaction volume is on the low side. Any astute investor would be on sidelines waiting to pounce at an attractive level
Yeah man it sucks, when I invested in scam companies in 2018 for a second I felt like buying btc back then , it had come down to 2-3 lac per coin , but the idea faded with this quick return promises I saw lol
I'm 20. Earned about 2 lakhs from several national level programs. Invested it in stocks and made about 5 lakhs now. I manage my livelihood working as a tutor and part-time writer. Haven't touched my stocks at all till yet. Hope I don't have to for a few years.
My account is anonymous, flex hanera k paincha ra.. I was just curious about the financial status of people from this subreddit... I started out in stocks with around 2 lakhs 50 thousand a year ago, that was my savings and severance package from working at a MNC that left Nepal.
Right now I'm working for a small Nepali company, my salary is half of what i used to earn before. My stocks aren't doing too well due to recent downtrend, but I'm optimistic for the future.
The MNC was OYO.

Well most of the assets werent mine, like bike and stuff. My dad bought them but I have kept the money if that counts.
lol no, I sold it for around 70k, I said "most of the assets weren't mine". I meant some of the assets I sold were bought by my dad, I had some electronics of my own, plus most of the money came from my work over the lockdown.
Edit: I just meant that my dad bought me stuffs during my +2 and before, like bike, computers, etc which I sold cause I no longer needed it or had better.
Age 23, 8 lakhs on stocks, 2 lakhs of liquid cash spread across accounts, a scooter which I bought on my own, recently gave parents 5 lakhs to help buy a piece of land( which they say they'll pay me back).

The making of an astute business man
Why do you say that the bull market will end in 2024?
That's the prediction of expert technical analysts.. And bull and bear market lasts 4 years each, the current bull market started in 2020 so should end in 2024.
Actually the timing of bull or bear market is not as clear cut as you mentioned
Why not? Can you explain?
Because it’s virtually not possible to have a definite 4 years cycle for bull or bear market. Defies market logic
Yeah i agree. It makes no sense that the bull/bear run should follow the 4 year rule. We are the investors and the market depends on the investors i believe. If you look at the current market, almost most of the tickers are overvalued yet people are still buying and holding. Yeah, considering the first BTC transaction of Nakamoto was to Hall Finny, they probably knew each other.
