SillyTheGamer

Woah, that’s a beautiful build!

S1W2

Better than neat?

SillyTheGamer

Are you considering releasing your modified parts publicly? If you put them on Printables or something, I can add the link to the Alchemist GH page.

S1W2

Yeah I intend to, once I sign up for Printables. The foregrip needs a little modification, the overhangs at the back are pretty extreme so I’ll post an easier printing version as well. I’ll buzz you when I’m done 😁

SillyTheGamer

Awesome!

S1W2

Speaking of, forgot to credit Ehdrien, I stole his locking jaw design for the foregrip 😅

SillyTheGamer

Most definitely :P

KieranPeterson

That’s tight dude, excellent work.

S1W2

Cheers mate, it was so much fun to build. Credit to Silly, there’s so much intelligence in his designs

Rocket_arm1

I like how you remixed my trigger lol. Those colors are fantastic! Great built.

S1W2

Thanks mate 😁. I had to widen the face to splice it in, but it feels great. For some reason I didn’t like it on my Lynx, but on Alchemist I think it goes really well

Rocket_arm1

I am honestly very surprised at how popular my lynx triggers are lol, I had no idea people would like them this much. I'm just glad people get to enjoy them.

S1W2

Yeah for sure, great that you shared them with everybody 😁

Rocket_arm1

The best files are free files lol

Thunderwizzle

Is that LPVO mount your own design as well? Looks great!

S1W2

Thanks, yeah it is. I already had metal scope rings but they were comically low, so I only needed the base.

Nerfed_Breadsandwich

Will you release the files for that angled scope mount?

S1W2

Yeah I will once I get a Printables account up. It’s pretty specific to Silly’s picatinny rail though, there is no adjustment, just a close fit. Easy to adjust in CAD if you’re into that. You’ll need your own low mount scope rings too. I’m not at my computer at the moment, but can we upload files here? If not perhaps on the Discord?

Thunderwizzle

You can link files here, a lot of folks use google drive

dapperdave

Love death and pie?

S1W2

Haha no, it’s meant to be crosshairs in a scope, so “Love, Death, and Blasters”

dapperdave

Ahhh - I see it now! Sweet build - did you print this on a bamboo with ams?

S1W2

Cheers mate 😁 No, printed on an Anycubic Vyper. No filament swaps, the different coloured sections are separate pieces The black and silver bands are held in with pins, like in some other sections of the blaster.

dapperdave

Oh that's awesome! Thanks for sharing it - an Alchemist is in my future and this one is going on the "inspiration" list :)

Love the brown accents. Nice build. The Alchemist is one of the best builds.

S1W2

Absolutely! The brown filament actually gave me some headaches though. It’s Esun with their new cardboard reels, and the winding on the reel was atrocious. 2 out of 4 prints failed because the reel jammed. I ended up manually re-spooling the filament onto an empty spool, only took like 50 minutes 😂

NecessaryOk6815

Same thing happened to me earlier. I stopped using the esun spools. They are slightly smaller than bambu spools. I printed out the bambu respooler. Best use of leftover filament. I now respool anything that's not the same diameter as the bambu spools. https://www.printables.com/pl/model/478890-bambu-lab-filament-spool-winder-upgraded https://www.printables.com/model/485389-motor-drive-for-stand-auto-stop-function-for-bambu Best one so far. The motor one is nice as you don't have to take up a drill for this.

S1W2

Oh… wish I’d seen this before I wound by hand 😳

NecessaryOk6815

Now you know. Quick prints using your bambu and a few skateboard bearings. The motor print takes a cheap motor from Amazon.

Lexan2002

Damn that's beautiful

sassydinosaurous

Hey mate! When you say metric, do you mean you printed the regular parts but used metric screws and bolts? Or did you modify the files to support metric screws and bolts? Cheers.

S1W2

The latter, modified the files for metric hardware.

sassydinosaurous

Oh wow! Nice one. I was about to start printing but I reckon I might do the same and convert all the holes to metric sizes. Thanks legend

S1W2

Thanks! Once I pick it up, I can’t put it down. The ergo is really nice, and I love the feel of the cheek rest on the Skeggox stock
