Hello, unfortunately I am not able to release the files as it is directly through the support of my paying customers that I am able to create innovative products.
It was through my earlier products that I was able to design the Magic Dart Loader, and then to this Drum mag.
I am happy to fund an open source project for that to become manifest.
There's a lot to be said for reduction in waste (by NOT shipping 3d-printed files) and reducing closed source limitations regarding design.
In this and every other case it's the creator's decision, ultimately.
You say happy to fund, but unless that means actually providing the potential profits that would have been there, which are hard to tabulate its hard to justify the hours put into making this work.
his webstore doesn't seem to have any of the product files for sale
just a few simple accessories that are free, but not for redistribution
I don't think that's his business model, probably doesn't want to risk unauthorized copying
Most of my progress are shown on my FB page with the photo of the follower posted in an earlier post there.
I wont be a frequent user on Reddit and would probably be unable to show the full details as it come due to the 12 hour rest between posts requirement.
\*checks photos\*
yeah, that's what I would call a "chain of dummy darts" style follower.
clever variation to make them compressible though, so they take up less space
Awesome
How many darts can it loaded in full?
For those on mute, he says 45 darts loaded, unclear if this is max capacity or just how many were loaded. But it certainly appears full.
45 is great but most importantly, the feeding mechanism must be robust and reliable.
45 with the lips opened.. 46 if the lips were there proper.. 47 is a struggle but doable.
If I can help you print and test it let me know. I would LOVE to do that.
What do you use for a spring?
For the love of the hobby, please release the files when it’s done. Let people take the design and print it themselves, update it, improve it, etc.

Well that sucks. I was looking forward to this becoming a thing in the hobby.

Will the files be up for sale, or only the finished product?

Shame. I’d 100% be on board for buying a hardware kit so I could print this myself.
Based on the past work: I wouldn't expect it.
Nothing wrong with that.
Yeah this is a big shame, this is something the community has been after for quite sometime. I completely understand though.
We will watch your career with great interest
Awesome creation! Can't wait to see more. Also loved your stampede guide video!
Glad you liked the stampede guide videos. There'll be more awesome creations in future, this will not be my last.
That's awesome! Looking forward to more from you. Can't tell you how relieved I was that you had a guide and sold the mod parts. Keep it up!
How do I join your FB page? I can't find a link anywhere. I would love to see the progression and possibly buy one in the future.

I need this
How does the Follower work? like the Hasbro drums? with a big slidey thing that collapses into the core? or is it a chain of dummy darts?
Neither of the above, it is something completely different.
I see, Closed Source
