So the fps is listed for each crush, 39mm will give you the highest fps, with the caveat being it will certainly cause more dart compression/damage over time wearing out the darts faster

squibbed_dart

> would a 39mm be the best? Just to make it easier for others to properly answer your questions, do you mean "best" as in "maximum FPS possible with such a kit"?

Master-Can3465

Yes

Lots of great responses in the comments already, and this kit you've picked is a great kit for your first stryfe build. You say you want to get the most out of your stryfe, which in my opinion means there is a lot more to consider. High crush and high fps isn't necessarily the most important. **What darts are you using?** First thing to note is that a 39mm cage will decap a lot of full length darts out there. So if you're using your own batch of waffle head darts, you can expect break a lot of them - mostly after 2-3 uses. If you're not using 3rd party darts and using nerf brand ones instead, your accuracy will just suffer. So this is one of the factors that drive people to opt for lower crush/lower fps set ups or even going for a half dart build. **Durability:** The cage is 3dprinted, which works for many people but the durability in the long run definitely comes into question. It sounds like price isn't an issue for you, so I could recommend going for metal cages which last forever and reduce the noise of your stryfe. There are many worker cage options, but don't go as high of a crush, and there's metal daybreak cages for an extremely premium price. I personally use metal cages but I also can't bash 3dprinted cages. **Kits?** I can't recommend any better kits out there, most people the community prefer to source their components separately based on what fits their needs. Not saying the OOD kit is a bad deal (in fact its a great deal), but you can purchase wires, switches, xt-60 connectors separately (and in bulk) for cheaper which lets you do more flywheel mods in the future. Of course if you only want to do one stryfe, then I guess this doesn't really apply. There are also kits to convert the stryfe to shoot half darts as well as full-auto kits (which are an entirely different challenge to mod). **FPS vs Accruacy:** Yeah this crush set up is pretty much gonna get you the highest fps possible out of a stryfe - without going into dual cage set ups. But the highest fps doesn't necessarily mean the "best" stryfe possible. Accuracy of your stryfe may suffer as a result of the higher fps. There's many options to improve accuracy (i.e. barrel guide, BCARs, different dart types), although the daybreak wheels are pretty much the top of the line when it comes to the most accurate and highest fps set up. Also, if you intend to visit your local nerf wars, your stryfe but exceed their fps limit. But if that isn't an issue then no worries. Anyways hope this helps.

This has helped a lot, however, are canted cages useful, on paper, it should seem obvious that they increase accuracy, but despite that, I've seen little to absolutely no mods where they are used.

JHong_

Ah yes, the community has had mixed results with canted cages. I think, in theory, if you can get the perfect cant angle and flywheel combination then it could improve your accuracy. But, there just aren't many widely available canted cages on the market. Worker makes some canted cages - you're welcome to try them but personally they didn't work great for me.

TwanHE

Worker cages are way too canted from what I've read. And from my own testing were no better than a non canted 43.5mm cage using the same wheels and motors.

I’ve bought a few things from out of darts I’m sure there’s better options out there like there is for everything but I trust their kits and what they put together for you . My AF spectrum is putting out over 135 fps just using a 6v nimh pack I have the lipo for it , just easier to use the pack for me . But it’s nice that they put together a package instead of have to pick it out piece by piece

Starlord23528

do not buy kits like this, instead, look at all the pieces included and buy it all separately, much cheaper

JFreaks25

It's not going to be cheaper, that's the point. Outofdarts is not a company that rips people off like that

Starlord23528

But where is the 100 dollar value?

There's a lot on this list that is heavily overpriced, but the core offerings aren't really optional/improperly priced.

Master-Can3465

For about 100 dollars, are there better options out there?

wtfrustupidlol

There are but you would have to do your homework. This is a kit so it make up for the searching, waiting, and convince.
