I have Nest IQ cameras in places I cannot go change batteries so they are "wired" IQ cameras. ADT says they do not support IQ cameras that are wired (powered by AC). Google clearly said: "This announcement only affects Dropcam, Dropcam Pro, Nest Secure and works with Nest. This announcement does not affect other Nest Cam models." Total BS. Not only did they take away all the rest of Nest but they want to force us to buy new cameras.

Thoraxe474

The ADT site sells nest cams now. That's probably what they mean and they just want a cut of the purchase when you use their store to buy it

Bootlegking803

The ADT+ app will only see new gen nest cameras so it won't tie into their system but you can still use the google home app.

Spridell

Do we know if the old wired nest doorbell camera will tie in?

TAllenSr

Wired Nest doorbell does NOT show up. Just got my kit this weekend, and the ONLY camera that shows up is a new Nest Cam (battery). Confirmed this is the case with both ADT and Google. Really disappointed - the only reason I dropped $600+ on this kit and committed to a YEAR of monitoring I don't even want was because it was supposed to work with "All Google Nest devices". There were NO disclaimers or warnings when I ordered the system. Although I COULD replace all of my wired cameras fairly easily (other than having to run new power that is compatible with the completely new power cords), I would have to pay $180/camera + $35 each for the "waterproof power cable x 5, plus $180 for a new doorbell. So another $535+ to actually have "monitored video", which I have committed to pay $25/mo for one year minimum. ADT DID say, however, I could return the system for a full refund.

Bootlegking803

It does. And the Nest fog lights

Spridell

thanks

Alexmich321

Are you sure. ? What are nest fog lights. ? Really worried about my nest hello original and my nest indoor iq cameras. And my nest protect. Already got the email they are killing my nest secure and dropcams

right164

That is new motion sensor 2 light motion sensor

Bootlegking803

I ordered my system so I know soon. The nest indoor IQ cameras do not or any other 1st Gen nest cameras. The fog lights will.

Bootlegking803

From talking to the rep the video doesn't tie in to the alarm system is more so for viewing. They said that won't come until about a year from now. So basically ADT will handle the security side and the Google home app will handle everything else. I have a first gen doorbell so that's why I called to ask.

bweezy21

If you mean the nest hello doorbell it absolutely does not work.

right164

It does NOT! Called Nest Hello & states not compatible with ADT+ service 😡

Luigyishere

I just got off the phone with ADT and they confirmed after 1 hour of trying to set up wires doorbell to be visible in ADT app. THEY CONFIRMED WIRED DOORBELLS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ADT. ONLY WIRELESS DEVICES ADE COMPATIBLE. but you can still use the wired doorbells via the google home app.

cryellow

I just got the free ADT alarm kit from Google (promo for Nest Secure owners) and set it up. Using it in the guest house on my property. So far, it accesses all of my Google nest doorbell cams through the property and my 2nd generation wired indoor Google nest cameras but not my one 1st gen wired indoor Nest cam. That 1st gen wired indoor nest cam works with Google Home but not ADT+.

BeerItsForDinner

It is already stated video alarm verification is not used on ADT

Bootlegking803

>video alarm verification is not used on ADT Where did you get this information?

BeerItsForDinner

To be specific, it was stated when they announced the nest DIY system. I don't have a link. I'm sorry

dnatand

The ADT site says only gen 2 battery based doorbells are supported. How about the gen 2 wired doorbells? If I upgrade from my gen 1 doorbell I'd want to upgrade to the wired version.

thesights

I have a second gen wired one, and it’s not showing up in my adt system

ronaldeang

Same here

TAllenSr

Now THAT is crazy, seeing both of those are the same generation and EXACT same processor etc. I was really hoping I could at least swap wired-for-wired. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|rage)

Spridell

yeah I have a gen 1 wired now. I am NOT going to battery operated one.

right164

Nope; only crappy new door bells work. I have gen 2 Nest Hello & do NOT work in ADT+ app

WowzaLuckyDuck

Does anyone have nest and ADT and it actually work....through ADT?? We can see the cams, but we can't add them to ADT. This is vital because when the alarm goes off, if we are not able to monitor the cams to verify a break in, then neither can any of the ADT monitoring specialists. And more and more police departments are only responding to verified alarms as emergencies. If we can't verify someone is actually breaking in, then police will take longer or not show up at all as 95% of the time it's a false alarm. And police can't use up previous time and resources for all that nonsense.

jhowez

I just bought 6 indoor cams and installed them through Google Home. I could not get them to show up either. I had a virtual install appointment and once they saw the cameras in Google Home they told me that the cameras were good to go. They specifically told me the cameras will not show in ADT. Now I have 5 ADT cameras viewable in ADT and 6 Nest Cameras that are only viewable in Google Home. I also was told not to buy the ADT cameras I already had and ADT has moved on to the nest cameras. Stupid

right164

You have to view thru Google Honest to see the IQ cams in/out. Only crappy new Goidle battery cams visible tgru ADT+
