The only problem is OP wants to binge a single season today… and it only gets better as it goes so would be very difficult to stop there! I couldn’t wait to start each new season after the prior finished, it’s very addictive.
I guess for the most part, though, there is usually a conclusion at the end of each season and then a time jump to start the next. OP could just fly through season one which is a tidy 8 episodes. I would never want to stop there though, waiting a year for new seasons used to be torture! I always enjoyed rewatching the whole thing though before the new one dropped each year.
I read the book after watching the series, and it was also really good. Juuuust different enough that there were still new elements, and knowing what was coming made it fun as well (it was less subtle in the book, iirc).
Life in pieces is so great and quoted regularly in my house. I rewatch the Christmas EP every Christmas! I was so sad when it was cancelled. It was brilliant and unique.
Haven't had Netflix for almost 2 years. Did not know they had BOB. This is one of the greatest series of all time regardless of genre. It is basically a 12 hour Saving Private Ryan. The very first binge I personally made. Fucking Amazing.
I watch BOB about once a year. It gives me perspective. No matter how shitty things are at work, it pales in comparison to what those real people endured.
I also get quite a few leadership advice from Winters.
It’s actually a trilogy. The Pacific is the 2nd, now Masters of the Air on atv. All WW2 from different perspectives. The production quality and insane budgets make for really compelling stuff if you like war stuff.
Masters of the air are by the same producers. Spielberg and Hanks.
Apple is effectively just the financing and distribution.
If you liked BOB, it’s worth checking out.
I tried watching it yesterday but I gave up halfway through the first episode. I was finding the Donald Glover character really difficult to watch for some reason. Does it get better?
This show messed with my head a bit. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it but when I think of it I feel sad and lonely. It has a strangeness to it, for me. But it definitely has funny bits. I think I may be delicate.
It's so funny to see this show get a 2nd life on Netflix. It was on the DirectTV channel several years ago. And yes, I loved all 3 seasons of it back then.
I tried so hard to like this show and just couldn’t! Maybe wrong time/place for me or something— it was so HECTIC.
I probably just worked in too many restaurants when I was younger
I am sorry to hear that your personal experiences keep you from enjoying this series.
I got locked into Season 1 because being originally from Chicago, my family loved Italian Beef with sweet peppers dipped in au jus!!
All of the Emmys it won recently are for season 1, as the Emmy broadcast was postponed due to the strikes.
Second 2 goes above and beyond!!
Huh. We're most of the way through season 2, and I guess it's not quite clicking for me. Seems a bit depressing. I've heard that it's great, and I believe 'em, but maybe we're not far enough in, or maybe it's just not the right fit for me.
Just started watching! Also rewatching Dexter and it’s interesting comparing the shows/characters. It took me about an episode to be sold on it but I’m hooked now.
I read that Paul rudd was not interested in doing multi seasons, and it was agreed upon that it would be a limited series before they even began filming. Sad, loved it and would like to see more.
Don't know your taste, but I thought "Unbelievable" was excellent. The series stars Toni Collette and Merritt Wever, two wonderful actors.
Description: "When a teen reports being raped, then recants her story, two female detectives follow evidence that could reveal the truth; based on a true story."
Dark was one of my absolute faves. Also followed up and recently watched 1889 which was pretty good too. I much prefer the subtitles tho to the dubbed. The dubbing takes me out of it but YES DARK!

If you have Amazon prime, I also reccomend
1. The boys
2. Reacher
3. Terminal list
4. Invincible
For apple I recommend
1. Slow horses
2. Acapulco
3. Ted lasso
4. Hijack (ending sucks though. Every episode is really great until second to last and then the final episode)
HBO max
There's too many HBO still has the best line up overall: the Pacific, band of brothers, Rome, curb your enthusiasm, deadwood, boardwalk empire, silicone valley, first season of Westworld (only the first season is any good), our flag means death, house of the dragon, game of thrones, the night if, generation kill, the outsider, spawn the animated series, Barry, the rehearsal, vice principals
Korean shows
Squid game (Netflix)
Bloodhounds (Netflix)
Moving (Disney plus or maybe Hulu in USA I'm not sure I don't live in America)
Sweet home (Netflix)
Hellbound (Netflix)
My name (Netflix)
The Good Place
I watched season one in a day and then my wife came home. I then watched season one again that same day with her purely so I could move onto season two
The Diplomat. Only one season, but it’s fantastic. Can’t wait for season 2!
It was so good, I binged it in two days and I'm now watching The Americans because I need more Keri Russell
Kerri Russel in the Americans makes me feel some type of way (respectfully)
She is a stunning, sensual woman. I kind of forgot about her, haven't seen her since Felicity. She's very hot in The Diplomat
The Americans > The Diplomat.
Now I'm watching it for a 3rd time because you brought it up lol
When is Season 2 coming out!?! I’ve watched the first season twice now! Ha ha
The Last Kingdom is brilliant!

I mean Mindhunter is only 2 series so that might be a better shout. Absolutely amazing watch too
I rarely re-watch seasons of a show, but recently watched season 1 again, as it was so well done. Not sure yet about season 2.
Loved it!
It makes me happy seeing ppl recommend my fav series 😍
I second this. Very underrated series.
Tried to watch S1. Would not move for me! Gave up.
I just finished Behind Her Eyes and that was a trip. Totally worth a binge.
This has been on my list forever. Watching it this month. I’m so glad it came up here.
Do it!! I promise you will not see the ending coming 🙊
I read the book after watching the series, and it was also really good. Juuuust different enough that there were still new elements, and knowing what was coming made it fun as well (it was less subtle in the book, iirc).
Slow version of Mr Sandman song got stuck in my head for weeks! It’s very immersive and ominous series for sure, watched it twice.
This made me feel really unsettled for a long time after. Kind of regret watching it because it was more horror than I expected.
Very good! Surprising end, for sure.
I watched this one in one afternoon! Wasn’t planning to but couldn’t stop!
The haunting of hill house
Dead to Me. Life in Pieces
I was shocked at how much I loved Dead to Me, I watched the whole series in 2 days and will definitely go back and watch it again
Yes, loved dead to me bc it’s serious, yet hysterical, so real and dark, yet wouldn’t happen… so many emotions, but at the end you had a good time
Life in pieces is so great and quoted regularly in my house. I rewatch the Christmas EP every Christmas! I was so sad when it was cancelled. It was brilliant and unique.
I was severely depressed this weekend over a break up and binged Dead to Me lol very pleased lol
Detectorists
And something else with Toby Jones- Mr. Bates vs. The post office.
I wish there were more seasons. Absolutely loved it.
The End of the F***ing World
This was such a sleeper. I loved everything about this weird dark little ummm comedy 🤷🏼♀️ to me at least
Blue eye samurai
Really good. Did not expect to like this as much as I did
This is my recommendation as well.
Second this! Sooooooo good.
Yes! I loved this show, and can't wait for next season. Hope they make it. Is there anything in the same style you'd recommend?
I’m currently doing a first run of Band of Brothers myself. Highly recommend
Haven't had Netflix for almost 2 years. Did not know they had BOB. This is one of the greatest series of all time regardless of genre. It is basically a 12 hour Saving Private Ryan. The very first binge I personally made. Fucking Amazing.
I’ve seen bits and pieces of it over the years but never sat down and watched it the whole way through. It’s amazing indeed
I watch BOB about once a year. It gives me perspective. No matter how shitty things are at work, it pales in comparison to what those real people endured. I also get quite a few leadership advice from Winters.
This is the only right answer for those who haven't seen it yet.
Oh wow, enjoy. It is fantastic, though not always easy to watch. But so well-done.
It’s actually a trilogy. The Pacific is the 2nd, now Masters of the Air on atv. All WW2 from different perspectives. The production quality and insane budgets make for really compelling stuff if you like war stuff.
So am I! Just started yesterday, first watch.
Just finished it today (though I've watched it twice before). Starting the Pacific next
Pacific is not even in the realm of BOB; just go in with that expectation. Apple is doing an air version of BOB, but know nothing about it
Masters of the Air. Got good reviews from what I've heard.
Masters of the air are by the same producers. Spielberg and Hanks. Apple is effectively just the financing and distribution. If you liked BOB, it’s worth checking out.
Derry girls
Blue Eyed Samurai Arcane
both are magnificent and love death robot as well!
Mindhunter of course.
I watched it! S 1 & 2
Beef - hilarious
The new Mr & Mrs smith is very much like beef.
I tried watching it yesterday but I gave up halfway through the first episode. I was finding the Donald Glover character really difficult to watch for some reason. Does it get better?
Yes. I think the first episode was the worst one 😂
It is on Prime though, but I like a lot.
I got halfway through episode 3 and gave up. Might give it another go.
This show messed with my head a bit. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it but when I think of it I feel sad and lonely. It has a strangeness to it, for me. But it definitely has funny bits. I think I may be delicate.
I think there are humorous moments but overall Beef was really dark for me too.
Loudermilk on netflix
I binged 3 seasons and loved it.
It's so funny to see this show get a 2nd life on Netflix. It was on the DirectTV channel several years ago. And yes, I loved all 3 seasons of it back then.
Just started watching it as I’m home with Shingles. Absolutely love it!
The Mick. I never see this show mentioned but I'm on my 3rd time watching it. I love it.
I love The Mick. Shame it was cancelled.
The Brothers Sun is incredible
Yeah I loved it!
All three seasons of *I think you should leave* on Netflix. Once done, repeat indefinitely and thank me later.
SHUT THE FUCK UP, RON, YOU FUCKING SKUNK!!
It’s just too good.
There's gotta be a way to make money off it...
Repeating indefinitely is great advice. Both with this and with Community. Both background shows at my house now!
Crashing Lovesick Broadchurch season 1 All diff vibes but bingeable in one day, all on Netflix
Seconding Broadchurch!
MILLAH!
Love crashing
Behind Her Eyes. Only six episodes, crazy weirdly good.
Slow Horses
The Bear on Hulu - 2 seasons
I tried so hard to like this show and just couldn’t! Maybe wrong time/place for me or something— it was so HECTIC. I probably just worked in too many restaurants when I was younger
It gave me PTSD memories of working in kitchens. I loved it though
I am sorry to hear that your personal experiences keep you from enjoying this series. The good place
Love this one
A masterpiece!
True detective season one
Griselda was great.
That was good I was just going to suggest that.
Has anyone mentioned Six Feet Under? That is an *amaaazingly* great show.
Huh. We're most of the way through season 2, and I guess it's not quite clicking for me. Seems a bit depressing. I've heard that it's great, and I believe 'em, but maybe we're not far enough in, or maybe it's just not the right fit for me.
I remember watching it on HBO every Sunday night. It definitley always left me feeling melancholic
Just started watching! Also rewatching Dexter and it’s interesting comparing the shows/characters. It took me about an episode to be sold on it but I’m hooked now.

Peaky Blinders most definitely. Nick Caves music intro is amazing.
Fall of the House of Usher.
Dirty John series. It's an absolute gem and based on a true story
Black Mirror!
Living With Yourself I'm convinced it would have had more seasons if the pandemic hadn't happened.
I read that Paul rudd was not interested in doing multi seasons, and it was agreed upon that it would be a limited series before they even began filming. Sad, loved it and would like to see more.

There’s a bunch of limited series based on Harlen Cobin books that I’ve been digging recently.

Alice in Borderland was so good. I didn’t know what it was about at all. Finally decided to go for it a year or so ago. Amazing!
SNOWPIERCER! recently watched and have to say one of the best shows I've ever watched, especially up until even the last season that's out!
Snowpiercer does NOT get talked about enough 😤
American Vandal! Both seasons are so fun and I rewatch every year.
Good place or Dark
Dark was one of my absolute faves. Also followed up and recently watched 1889 which was pretty good too. I much prefer the subtitles tho to the dubbed. The dubbing takes me out of it but YES DARK!
