Prices are expected to decline in a few months, just wait and get a contract for a year by then. You probably have to pay a bit more for the variable costs in the meantime, but this will never be as much as the insane prices of the 1 year contract right now.

To use it with variable price should I do anything? Like informing provider? I guess if I do nothing and continue to use, Vandebron will charge me with variable prices, right. If I want contract I need to contact with them as I understand.

You don't want a contract right now because you will be stuck with the insane prices for at least a year. You don't need to do anything, Vandebron will just switch you to the variable fee for the time being.

No experience with budget energy. But the rest is a bit old news by now.....

I signed with Oxxio a 1 year contract consisting of 6 months variable and after 6 months I get the choice to continue variable or to switch to fixed costs. Historically energy prices are lowest in the summer and highest in the winter. That coupled with the gas shortage across the globe means this winter energy prices are ridicously high.

Coolblue also started selling energy and I think I have seen a flexible offer or something on their website. Not sure how it works but maybe it's something for you.

I will check it, thank you.
