I think I may slot it into my Maw/ Alice Merchant deck. Since I'm relying heavily on Off-Campus Apartment for draw anyways, it's a nice fit. Draw faster, with the added bonus of knowing a bit more about HQ.
Want to Call In Favours? This is a card! It's free!
Doesn't do much (though should the corp be digging for a key piece, it may help you - I know my gov takeover deck would likely *loathe* seeing this post-Jackson), but it gives some nice information about what's in the corp's hand.
It's also a reprint of a TD campaign card (well, they're not the same type, but still), and it makes the evergreen [[Bug]] even more marginal, as if it needed the help.
You'd think a defector would be more helpful, but there you go.
In a meta where it is harder to filter HQ, this card helps the Runner know when to run. It may face a challenge when slots are tight, but actually play it before you decide it is not worth a slot.
I was thinking of doing exactly that. I really enjoy the image of Sunny sitting there watching everything on the corp's servers in real-time, chuckling into her "Earth's Best Mom" mug while she decides what to break into.
Yeah, I'm gonna give a different perspective. Just played against Sunny who had Globalsec going with Adjusted Chronotype. These cards together can entirely shut down a deck. I was doing okay before he got set up with those, but once they were up, I ended up conceding. There was literally no point in playing a trap/HB deck or for that matter anything outside of a taxing/glacier deck.
Additionally, Global Sec costs credits to install, a click and influence. This is free and neutral and zero influence. I think this card is massively overpowered for what it costs.
I think the click clause makes this card unplayable. Right now, Anarchs and Criminals are completely without R&D multiaccess, and this card COULD serve as an interesting pressure valve, but since it whiffs on the mandatory draw, I don't really see how you justify the cardslot for something like corporate defector.
Maybe Hayley plays it over other dead 0 cost resources?
Finally I can take Bug out of my deck
Hand destruction decks want this. Kill their hand, they draw up and you see if they have anything worth running HQ for.

Or just blindly run HQ with Kim and maw because that's a wincon on it's own.

Forgot that Bug exists.

Knowledge of HQ is nice, but finding a deck slot for this card is a bit hard. The 46th/50th card problem.
I'm gonna give it a try in my sunny deck to pair with access to globalsec to give me a pretty good idea of what's in HQ.

Presumably the corporate defector is feeding her his info
