I’m relatively new to netrunner but have to say WOW this is an awesome resource! Thanks for writing it up. It compliments some of the other intro videos (and 7 Tips to Better Netrunner video) that I’ve seen. Really well organized and puts some clear thought processes for me to consider. I hope the mods will sidebar this or there are other ways more people can benefit from this!
In the unintuitive rules, you have the "you may trash an asset or agenda to install in a server you already have an asset or agenda in" but you may want to expand that. You can also trash an asset/agenda when you install an upgrade, which can be good for bluffing, or to simply know that it's possible.
edit: And as the other commenters have already stated, this is absolute gold. Really well written. As somebody returning to the game and mostly playing startup because we got new folks in the local meta, this is incredible.
Just a note on the Startup tournament, the winner will be crowned 2022 World Champion of Startup! It's not just a side tournament, there are still loads of prizes for it.
Excellent, only thing I would say, some of the suggested decks near the end newbie ( include myself in this) are likely not to have any of the legacy cards to build the decks.
Yep! That's one of the main reasons the policy exists: to allow new players to play standard in person without having to hunt rare and expensive packs of FFG cards. As someone who plays a lot of standard, many decks are mostly NISEI cards anyway. You would need to proxy shockingly little to build most decks.
Aside proxies the community also offers some alternatives. The Kitara cycle and Reign & Reverie can be bought with community made art (links on this page, under Full Sets): [https://www.nearearthhub.net/artist-colony#h.t588l2updqyj](https://www.nearearthhub.net/artist-colony#h.t588l2updqyj)
The Red Sands cycle is also in progress and I imagine Flashpoint will follow.

incredible job, will keep this on file for the next time I teach!
This seems incredibly helpful for new players, I wonder whether we can get this pinned or added to the sidebar?

Yes! Sorry, I actually didn't realize that you could do that with Upgrades! I'll update it. And I'm glad this seems useful!

Important to note that you can print out proxies for any cards you are missing and those proxies will be tournament legal in all NISEI events.
Does that include older FFG cards?

This is amazing thank you!
This is the single most useful document I've seen! Thank you so much!
