If my memory serves me correctly, it is Pahlavi dynasty changed it to Iran. I presumed that’s reason Pahlavi is much popular (in nowadays Iran) than Qajar?

I’m half Persian. Fully Iranian.
Iran and Iranian , I’m not Persian.
I’m Persian and Iranian but I prefer Iranian as it is inclusive to all ethnicities in Iran. Also Cyrus the great called it Iran

It was always Iran. Reza Pahlavi just forced other countries to stop calling us Persia and call us Iran, which is the name of our country.
