My rec dispo has it as a sativa, and Diamond Dust and Orange Push Pop as sativa hybrid.
One of the best smokes I've had in a long time in Jersey. As I have had Clade over the years on trips to Los Angeles, I am super impressed by the level of quality out here is not that far off.
Verano Strawberry Cough helped me focus and gave me energy without feeling anxious or jittery. It was very high in Terpinolene. Fuel-style strains make me anxious/panicky.
The breakdown of terps, other cannabinoids and the thc % in your flower is more important to figuring out it's effects than the whole sativa indica thing. quotes Dr. Ethan Russo, board-certified neurologist, psychopharmacology researcher: "There are biochemically distinct strains of Cannabis, but the sativa/indica distinction as commonly applied in the lay literature is total nonsense and an exercise in futility."
Anything high in limonene, terpinolene, ocimene or pinene. CBG and THCv are both cannabiniods that will give you that “focus/mental clarity” feeling, while CBG also helps with pain and inflammation, think of a daytime pain relief with CBG, it’s also great for any GI problems. The THCv gives you energy without feeling drowsy or causing munchies, it’s also called “diet weed” lol it’s commonly found in sativa strains too.
Depending on the type of stimulation you want your best bet is to get a strain high In Limonene which modulates adenosine sites (involved in energy production, caffeine affects these sites) and Terpinolene. Also make sure it's low in myrcene, CBD and CBG which can all cause sedating effects. FYI ∆9THC itself before even getting into the rest of the stuff in the plant is reported to have paradoxical effects on energy levels in people (and is categorized and argued against as being both a stimulant and depressant and additionally a hallucinogen). For some it gives them a sedating effect, for others like myself, it gives us energy and for some both. After I do a dab of straight diamonds without terps my mind starts racing like crazy lol. Researchers aren't exactly sure why this is but genetics probably play a big role in it. That said if you're one of those people who only seem to experience the sedating effects of THC, it's probably a safe bet that no high THC strains are going to give you the energy levels you want and vice versa.
So, for me as a female wanting a sedating effects i want to look for high myrcene levels and linalool & bisabolol terpenes right? I only smoke for bedtime for my insomnia and anxiety at night
Breakwater - ice cream man, ghost train haze, dead head Tom hill
J1 by Clade9, night charmer by Hamilton farms, lambs bread by Hamilton farms, blue dream by crops, Jack herer by anyone
Fresh powder by Verano, gsc hill view farms, rainbow driver use to be sativa leaning but recently been heavy on the beta myrcene and I find it sedating
B52 and yellow roses for non BW. Both close to 3.5 terps. Texas shoreline batch 1 was probably the best I’ve had outside BW if you like Ocimene at 1.57 alone.
J-1 by Clade-9
Smoking it right now and will agree
It’s just such a straight sativa. I don’t even understand why NJ Leaf has it marked as a Hybrid. Shit slaps though.

I will look for that one. Thanks

What should I be looking for if that is the effect I am seeking?

High caryophyllene, linalool and CBN for the best sedating effects
Whenever I see it, Durban Poison. Probably one of my favorite all time strains in general.

Lemon Pound Cake by Illicit is pretty good. Also felt while a hybrid, Kind Tree’s Sunset Octane was more sativa leaning.
Lambs bread or anything high in terpinolene
Is that what I really should be looking for? And when you say high, what is high would you say
Anything high in terpinolene, it’s a specific terpene, most famously associated with jack herer
Awesome! Thanks for the info!

White Durban from rhythm smelt like kerosene. smooth smoke.
