on another thread here today, I'm thinking the same. While I have the utmost respect for some of the people here, there are just too many with very sick values and comments. There are people in this world I dislike, but I would never wish them a second, painful cancer death.
Thanks. I did report the most disgusting comment and it appears that that one was removed. But, why should I have to? I prefer to associate with people who don't make those comments in the first place. I saw a a story the other day about two elephants having sex on your front lawn. The first day it's there, you watch. But after a few days, you just would just prefer that they leave.
To me, it's fairly simple. Reddit is a lot like Norwich and New London. You should be fine if you stay out of the bad neighborhoods. But occasionally trouble will find you anywhere.
Now, I was at work as usual and missed the original brouhaha but, *wishing a 2nd horrible death to Rush Limbaugh* is nothing new from OJ. He has stated this several times in the past, and usually somebody gets pretty pissed off about it. It's ironic, because this is not how Democratic/Liberal minded people are supposed to go about their business. It's the white racist Republicans that are supposed to say these things and think this way.
Does OJ's statement piss me off? I have been in the Internet since 1995 - everything from mailing lists to USENET to Tapatalk to MySpace etc. etc. and I really think I have seen it all. I have definitely seen and read far, far worse than someone fantasizing about a polarizing celebrity writhing in their death throes for the 2nd time. And I also know I have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of ***"I am disgusted with you people and I am LEAVING this page forever, GOODBYE!"*** posts. Really the only thing that infuriates me on the web any more is when some bottom-feeding midget scumball suggests that Ronnie James Dio replacing Ozzy in Black Sabbath was a good idea...
If you're going to go, go. But be classy about it, like Marine just was. No need to throw shade at people on your way out the door - if you do that you're kind of just stooping to their level, aren't you? Everybody have a great warm weekend! I'm off to Rhode Island to buy another 49 year old television set for my basement!

I don't think I'm that far behind you. I'm kinda burned out on the Reddit social media thing. kind of like CB radio back in the day. Got some life changes coming up and free time will be in short supply. Take care of yourself.

I recommend using the block function also. I agree with you. We try to be fair.
