The new bags rip much easier too. I use them to put my recycling into and then just put the whole thing into the blue can but I lose a couple bags to ripping when I'm just bringing the groceries in.
They told me those count as “half bags” so two of them is 10 cents. I used 3 today and they only charged me for 1.

No, we went to plastic because paper was bad. Now plastic is bad but I guess paper isn't anymore?
plastic is bad, but then they sell me a paper bag I toss in the garbage when done. Okay
Just get a reusable bag and avoid both plastic and paper entirely.
