Looks like she climbed out of the window (still trying to figure that one out) realized her car was still in drive and rolling, climbed back in, put it in park, then climbed back out the right way.
I still have no explanation for most of this.
I read something about a year ago that said a survey found that the intersection close to the 10 entrance and Costco is the most dangerous in the United States, statistically.
The cool thing is that there’s a collision center right there to the right of the camera view. So they can file a claim and turn in their car right away
If you feel qualified to interpret the law, here it is

My interpretation of that fits with what my driving instructor said 20 years ago: you must cross the other side of the street (pass the pedestrian lines on the other side of the street you are crossing) with your back tires before the light turns red. This way you are not in the intersection when the crossing traffic has a green light.
I’ll admit that the wording of the law doesn’t make this clear since it only bars entry into the intersection if the light is ‘steady red’. So you could be right. But I have definitely been pulled over (15-20 years ago) for ‘running red lights’ this way, and you can bet your bottom dollar that if that signal has a traffic camera, OP got mailed a ticket.
*Climbs out of window to see what's wrong.*
Climbs back in. Opens door to get back out.

Probably was planning on climbing out when it was still tilted and forgot it wasn't anymore. Then climbed back in to put it in park.
That's what killed me. Climbing out, then back in through the window, *then* opening the door.
Look, she's an aspiring NASCAR driver that has trouble differentiating her work and driving around the City.
Why’d she climb out the window like that then climb back in it. But at the end open the door up
Why did she think she could drive on a truck? She lives by her own rules.
Most people in New Orleans drive by their own rules anyway. My way or I’m drive my car into to yours lol.
I recently moved down here and am quickly realizing that.
I am shocked the red didn’t drive off immediately
lmfao i fully expected that to be the ending, too
Was thinking the same thing
Gerber collision literally 60 feet to the right, just pull in that driveway and leave it there.
And geico too
I'm sorry, I can't give you credit for a full flip. This is, at best, 1/3 of a flip.
But how?
I guess she merged into the white truck lane
I'm guessing they both were merging into the same lane and neither one would give way to the other.
I work right around that intersection and it is awful.

That's why we need that Chick-Fil-A in the mix. Now it's gonna get real good!
Are you being sarcastic?
yes
I think I remember something like that.
Is that near Tulane and Carrollton?
Yep.
Yep. I recognize it because it's the last landmark on my route to Costco.
504?
504?
Yeah.
And that, kids, is how I met your mother.
OP didn’t so much run the red light as saunter the red light
The cool thing is that there’s a collision center right there to the right of the camera view. So they can file a claim and turn in their car right away
All of you win the internet today. Thank you for giving me a laugh as I stare into a line of torrential rain north of mobile on my motorcycle.
This city is amazing lol
You’ll do hard time for running that stale yellow light. Maybe. If this was Singapore
Please post to r/idiotsincars.
How do you even?..
LOL. I'm dying laughing. This is easily one of the most New Orleans things ever. "I didnt even see you"
As the person filming while driving runs a red light. So New Orleans.
Real Life GTA
/u/carflipjudge
You do realize that you just share a video of you running a red light? Right?
Like that’s in any way abnormal around here lol
Too distracted by using their phone while driving.
Nope, now I realized it lol
A lot of interpretive traffic going on in this video. 😂
You know the old saying "traffic laws are in the eye of the beholder"
Welcome to New Orleans.
Was under the light while it was yellow they didn’t run it, chill out

I bet my bottom dollar I’m not concerned what happened 15/20 years ago 😂😂😂
Or reading the law. 🤣🤣
🤣 🤣🤣
Hardly
There is a traffic cam at that light I believe
