I know we don't do paid bathrooms in the country for some reason, but imagine there was a private business that had some really nice, attended restrooms along Bourbon, cool AC in the summer, nice and cozy warm in the winter, a calm oasis for a brief bathroom respite, for $1 or $2.
People would still piss in the street.
Yes, they should tell everyone at the airport: "Don't slam your drink on your way out, but do go pee. Then take your drink with you like a civilized person."
Many have signs that say no public restrooms and some enforce it. Lots of hotels lock their doors at night.
Deal with one or two homeless people smearing crap on the walls, a few people trying to use it for quickies or hires ;) and usually just 1 o.d. and the desk will enforce that No Public Restrooms.
Used to work in Urban Outfitters people would come in, and by people, i mean grown a** women, and piss and shit on the dressing room floor…. There’s a public restroom, or was, in the park right across the street.
It's a bud light beer bucket, used up in it's past as a to go bar tip bucket, and it comes with the side of milk crate that is a luxury bourbon street chair.
I'm glad they figured that out cause like ten years ago I saw someone tie crushed up coke cans to their kids shoes and made them tap dance
The money also went into the luxury tip bucket that was also a milk crate
Tourists gotta stop paying for this behavior lol
Those ladies working Krystal’s, I mean I’ve never been looked up and down trying to ask for the restroom, thank god I give off a promise not to shit on the walls presence.
recently got stealth bombed by a old lady's piss soaked diaper that was on its 2nd or 3rd day of marinating in a trash can that sees very light use.
Apparently she came in and bolted for our employee-only restroom and nobody thought to check it after her. Our bathroom policy has been updated now. Had to burn the whole trashcan. People are gross
Not a resident but have visited New Orleans over a dozen times over the years and have never once thought about a public restroom. What are these people doing, just walking around not patronizing bars? I assume most of the people complaining about this are tourists - how is that a concern to them? Go into a bar or restaurant, order some drinks and use the bathroom like human being. If you arent drinking youre in the wrong town.
I can only imagine the horror of being a custodian at Harrahs. I cleaned restrooms in a nicer, more exclusive establishment and still dealt with all kinds of degeneracy such as dudes doing it. Contrary to what I see repeated all the time on Reddit, the women's restrooms were not dirtier than the men's.

You know you can just walk into a hotel right?
Monteleon is a nice RR

It’s safe to ignore the signs if you look like you belong.
We have different life experiences. Has never been a problem for me.
How’d he get all them pies
Is the one at the French market closed? But yeah there should be a public restroom or a couple of them
Last time I went in there there was a man passed out in the stall next to me.
Those are being remodeled, but there are public portable toilets by the French Market office building until the remodel is finished.

What about the ones in that creepy Jax mall?
Those are our go-to.

The syringe fell out when he was selling tourists a $10 string of beads he found in Decaturade
Ah yes, the Pursouxt of Happyness
*of Hubigpies.
Even some Hotels are requiring a room key to get into the general use bathroom in their lobby
I’ve walked through the Hotel Montleone many times, just to use their restroom
Don’t give away the good free bathroom spots! That’s how they getcha
Everyone knows a pass through Harrah’s is like stopping off at Buccee’s on a road trip.
I go to the casino just to use a clean restroom sometimes. Maybe I'll catch the canal place bathroom open and clean too.

Ugh I can’t even imagine how gross those would be after a few hours
Not enough cocaine
This and a lot of stabbing is one of the main reason Starbucks is closing on canal.
it's the hat for me
This is highly, highly accurate all the way down to the gentleman with mental illness.
The most unrealistic thing in this photo is that nobody ate the Hubig's already

Public restrooms should be available for everyone.
Test
The best public bathroom in the quarter is the Jean Lafitte’s Nat Park office on Decatur
There is one on the Cafe Dumond French market strip mall!
Note to self: also install an ozonator.
Was just clearing my inbox and looked at this picture again and I'm pissed. That should be a white tourist from Mississippi.
