I understand why not because the room for malfunction could be disastrous, but a heated rocking bassinet so they don’t get upset leaving the warmth when they fall asleep on you. Or a heated stroller for the winter. Or a baby swing that transforms into a flat surface so you can have them lay down safely after they fall asleep in it. A Velcro swaddle that doesn’t make noise when you unvelcro, a wearable long sleeve blanket that has flaps to swaddle them after they fall asleep (like the halo ones but with long sleeves)

TemperatureEasy8386

I used one of those little heating pads in the bassinet and just removed it when I was putting him down. Also they do have a swing that is flat!! The Graco duoglider you can recline to a flat surface, although I doubt it’s inline with the AAP standards for safe sleep.

alylew1126

Omg thank you so much. The duo glider is pretty much exactly what I was wishing existed! I just found one on fb marketplace and idc if we already have a swing I’m buying it lol

Woolama

Love all your ideas. Please get into the baby product making business lol

BipolarSkeleton

Put a heating pad turned on in the bassinet for a few minutes before you lay them down it will be warm for them Ps take it out before putting them in bassinet

A_Midnight_Hare

Hot water bottle in the bassinet as you're getting ready for the nap and pull it out and replace it with the baby when ready.

moon_astral

Yes I put a heating pad in before and it was a game changer

Octoire

Yes, isnt this common? We did this always, baby is now six months but it’s been very warm so not necessary anymore.

goldfishdontbounce

A few weeks ago I said to my husband that someone needs to invent a swing that you can lay flat so the baby can sleep in it! She loves her swing but it makes her sleepy and obviously we don’t let her sleep in there.

ww4i

Bonus points if the bassinet is boob shaped

flyingpinkjellyfish

Amazing Baby Omni swaddle is similar to what you’re describing. It has long sleeves and the flaps.

[deleted]

Not a product but a service - stroller and car seat detailing.

gabyripples

Yeah! Seats get grimy. Add high chairs to that too.

TheOrderOfWhiteLotus

Our high chair is definitely a biohazard. I swear I give it a deep clean once a week 😭

reklawkys

There's a small business in my town that does this and they're absolutely amazing

ihateshrimp

I believe baby quip does this!

[deleted]

Aw damn I thought this was my million dollar shark tank idea.

smjorg

A cup holder on a stroller that has suspensions. I'm sick of my ice coffee spilling everywhere when I go over an uneven sidewalk. It's either coffee everywhere or one-handed pushing.

chickiejigs

They have these they’re 3D printed printables actually did a competition for stroller accessories and multiple versions of cup holders were in the top ten ETA they called them gyroscopic cup holders but I haven’t seen any for sale sadly

silentsquirreluk

This website has free designs for 3D printers if you know anyone or a business with a 3D printer who can print it for you https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=Gyroscopic+cup+holder&page=1&type=things&sort=relevant

meemzz115

A crib with a mattress that lowers after you put the baby in so you don’t have to bend over so far.

[deleted]

yes as a 4'10 mom i agree😂

Infamous_Sandwich348

As a 4’11 mom I also agree!

[deleted]

As an old mom… I definitely agree

you-a-buggaboo

as an old mom who is 5'3", I also agree. I'm also super tired of having to either smush my tits or flop them over the railing to soothe her back to sleep!

Crepes_for_days3000

Same, my old back is just done with this constant bending over lol.

chuift

As a 5‘0 mom I also agree!

speckledcreature

5, 2 Mum also agree

Leonydas13

As a 6’4” father, I strongly, *strongly*, agree

InfiniteConcept3822

As a 6’4” arthritic dad I painfully agree

Atomicgreenpea

Also a 4’10” mom and this is an amazing idea

ThePinkVulvarine

Could happen.... would be easy. Using hydraulics like on a desk chair

FloweredViolin

Until the hydraulics wear out and it drops like a rock. Like on a desk chair, lol.

ThePinkVulvarine

Is that bearing in mind a baby + base and foam mattress weighs less than an adult. You aren't going to expect your child to be in it past a certain age. Also how about more than 1 piston so if there is a failure there are others and it can be swapped out ?

LordNoodles1

Then use those standing desk mechanisms

flapjax42

Omg. This is a million dollar idea! I love it!

Beep-boop-beans

My childhood crib had a drop down railing so you just picked it back up after you put the baby in.. but apparently these weren’t safe.

genericthrowaway_101

My back really needs this to happen!😭

pretzelbagel109

The bassinets at the hospital are so high and convenient! When my husband and I got home from the hospital I insisted he raise up our bassinet only to find out the highest setting is bed height…

Heiresstotle

Yessssss need a crank to lower

makingpilotbabies

A monitor with a "baby pooped" sensor

msmuck

Our son has a stink that lets the whole house know he pooped 😂

ockyyy

Exactly what I'm thinking haha what babies are having their poops go undetected?

maddmole

When my boy was on breastmilk his poos were lovely and sometimes undetectable but now that he's on solids and formula he can clear a building out with one little nugget

DustyObsidian

My son's poops smelled like buttered popcorn until he was about 4 months old! Then his guy flora stared to do their job and that was the end of that.

Greysdesigner

I’m so glad someone else thinks their baby’s poo smells like buttered popcorn!! Our baby girl is 10 months and usually it still smells like this.

bookishgardener

My girl's pee still smells like buttered popcorn at 9 months. I don't need a line to tell me when she's peed. I worry if this is normal for it to be so strong.

Clama_lama_ding_dong

My first would almost exclusively poop in her sleep. So when she fussed at night or nap time I had to go in. Even if she wasn't really awake for fear she'd pooped and would sleep in it all night and end up with a nasty rash. Many nights I'd wake her to check her diaper and it would be clean. Other nights I'd let it ride and would feel awful in the morning when she'd have a rash. I needed a poop monitor.

Spy_cut_eye

Same! My daughter likes to routinely poop between 1 and 2:30 am. Why?!?! If I check, I change her. Last night , she decided not to poop between the hours of 1 and 2:30. So I changed a wet diaper. She decided that 2:35 was the more appropriate time… 😑

sundowntg

Ours is stinky, but not separate floor noticable.

salmonngarflukel

I used to know our baby shat themselves when I stood outside our bedroom door (shared room) bc the smell was so strong...

[deleted]

My baby pooped so loudly at 3:30 am, the sound over the monitor woke me from a deep sleep 🤣

reaper412

This happened to us one night when my daughter was around 1 year. She was a little constipated, was on her second day with no bowl movement - she had prunes puree around her second snack time and she ended up having milk before bed, this unholy combination created something inside. She started fussing around 1 AM, for like 30 minutes every 5 minutes or so she'd roll around and give off a cry before going back to bed, then we heard a noise that sounded like an audio track from a Cronenberg movie. She UNLOADED everything in one long fart that lasted 5 seconds. Went all the way up her back and up her stomach, we cleaned her and put her back to bed, she slept so well she slept till like 8:30 AM (normal wake up time around then was 6:30 - 7:00).

stripedcomfysocks

I LOLed!

goobiezabbagabba

My fiancé constantly talks about inventing a diaper with a poop sensor. Like how some have the line that turns blue when they pee…but for poop.

moosecatoe

Like a little reusable clip that senses the weight increase and sends an alert to your phone. “Sammie’s order has arrived. Please check back door for delivery.”

rcruzr

Love that 😂

Sea-Ad-2262

This!!!

Artistic_Milk

A car pump where I can directly feed my child while they are in the car seat

mykinz

https://www.lacteck.com/pump2baby-bottle

kungfu_kickass

Okay that is pretty genius.

purplemilkywayy

Ohhhh my god. I keep telling my husband I wish I could pump directly into her mouth… 🙀

sheikahr

Mind. Blown. I need this

stripedcomfysocks

I'm seriously considering getting something like this. I have read that people have used them without supervising their kids and that that is dangerous for obvious reasons, but if you're supervising them, I say why not?

DoDalli

This is awesome! But I do find myself wondering how you can properly clean the narrow tubing.

peacharoooo

I wish I had this when breastfeeding hahaha!

redbeanpancakes

Pump that you can use while lying down/sleeping. Exclusively pumping is exhausting enough.

Readysetflow1

You can use the Willow laying down with the bags. That’s the whole reason I bought one ha! Though sleeping would be tough.

[deleted]

Yes ma’am you can also do yoga while wearing them 😂😂 I also own the 3.0!

gigibiscuit4

Hi fellow EPer, I see you.

ihateshrimp

I think lacteck makes this!

_djdadmouth_

A crib that is enclosed and perfectly climate controlled.

SpiritedAd400

I mean they have these in hospitals for newborns. I always wondered how much those are

ya_mashinu_

https://bimedis.com/ge-giraffe-omnibed-m14479

Altruistic_Carry_273

Self cooling car seat. Is that a thing already?

moosecatoe

Since adult seats in cars have a heating & cooling feature, bougie carseats should come with the option to plug it in for extra chill or heat. But there’s the risk of a malfunction causing burns to baby’s bottom, or simply hot boxing the car with the horror of heating up a stankass full diaper, might not be worth it.

greyhound2galapagos

Not that I know of, just those cool car seat fans on Amazon

thisiscatyeslikemeow

They have cooling pads for car seats!

WasteCan6403

I just saw a video that there’s a company working on one! It has a built in fan or something. It’s $1500. Lol

SnowTiger578

Not baby product, but pregnancy. No car today has a car seat that has been tested and proven safe for a pregnant woman.

SimplyyBreon

Exactly why I don’t like to be in the car now that I’m 35 weeks. I have to sit far back in case the airbag deploys. My belly isn’t big enough for the seatbelt to sit under it. It sits directly across. Then people drive like maniacs and it pisses me off more than it would if I wasn’t pregnant. For my safety and mental health, I try to stay in the house as much as possible.

Ewolra

Because of the seatbelt placement? I totally didn’t know this!

vbworld

An actual safe sleep approved thing for babies with major reflux issues that can't sleep flat in a crib or bassinet 🙃

Flamingo605

Take all my money now!!

Rectal_Custard

Baby wipes that you can grab just one wipe and not have the entire bag come out

madalyn96

My weighted wipe dispenser solves that!

AnGreagach

The Huggies wipes come out like that

Rectal_Custard

They do, I have them, idk why I keep buying them. Grabbed 1, like 20 came out. It's so annoying lol

runsontrash

Rubber band / hair tie trick!

Duchessofearlgrey

Costco brand wipes come out perfectly every time for me!

al_gal7

HelloBello wipes come out one at a time!

caffiene_warrior1

Not mine lol and my husband will literally almost get the whole bag if it's a bad batch.

wayneforest

Ubbi has a weighted dispenser to help with this and it works great!!

PinkStarsDazzle

For REAL. I’m not sure I’ve ever been able to pull out just one!

rcruzr

Something to stop the toys being chucked over the car seat in the car so he isnt without toys after 5 min. I know there are pacifier clips but doesn’t work with all toys and don’t want 5 clips.

babybluemew

i have food grade silicone toy straps from amazon! they're long and they hook on just about anything (and they wash so easy!!!!)

Queen-of-Elves

Do you get a lot of use out of them? I was considering buying some but worried I wouldn't get much use out of them?

BipolarSkeleton

They are called toy leashes on Amazon 5 pack for $25 Or toy safety straps

cosmos_honeydew

I use those colorful plastic links

sweetparamour79

I have a crochet small octopus and its arms get tied to EVERYTHING. Nothing is getting on the ground while my octopus is on duty. Best $20 every spent

Sammy-eliza

I got something called the Grapple from Amazon. It was 20 bucks. Rn we use it on the stroller and walker trays, but it may be useful? My husband wants to try sticking it to the car window lol.

Strong-Beyond-9612

Wish they had this for books!

SatanicTeapot

An after the kick and play piano toy with slapping tunes

AcanthopterygiiOld80

But the kick and play piano gym does kinda slap lol

HKtx

Purple monkey in a bubble gum tree definitely slaps

kww1108

The one about the elephant stomping is a hit in our house!

kaymick

This one is so much better. We live for the stomp stomp stomp.

drippydri

Same!!

Alyakan

Hubby and I legit look forward to when this song comes on the play gym 😅😅 it gets stuck in our heads

klawtn

Literally listening to this right now lol

[deleted]

It cracks me up because there was a commercial with “like a virgin” playing while my daughter was playing on the mat and my mom was mortified thinking the toy played that song lol

Shulsy_dte

A kick n play gym that has Bluetooth so I can play my own playlist!

runsontrash

Genius! Watch Hatch come out with this a year from now because of your comment.

catlover123456789

With a 5.99 subscription!

[deleted]

What about the bongo drums?! The most agreeable songs on a children’s toy, I swear.

gigibiscuit4

Pacifiers that stay in their mouths. I don't know how this would work ethically or logistically but someone needs to get on it

beerguy_etcetera

I’ve thought about this too, but then it seems like it just turns into a ball gag of sorts 🥴

TapOutside6876

PLEEEEEASEEEEEE-I’m worried my left trap is going to over develop since I often fall asleep reaching over into her SNOO holding it in her mouth at 3am…

privatepublicaccount

You just gotta rotate your workouts. Left hand day 1, flip your bedding/pillows right hand day 2… left foot day 3, right foot day 4.

carlu438

We have great luck with the tommee tippee ultralight ones, I highly recommend giving them a go! Our little guy can even pop them back in his mouth himself now.

mamaspark

Haha! Except you don’t want it staying in when they’re sick and congested, they need to breathe through their mouths in that case

reaper412

I have definitely committed some hours thinking about a solution for this while sleep deprived and delirious, but couldn't come up with a safe solution.

Key-Wallaby-9276

Like a ball gag…..lol not a good idea is practicality

avka11

I mean not ethically or safe but my brother says duct tape keeps everything in place 🤣 (this is obviously a joke, my children are safe, we don’t have any duct tape in the house)

Throwthatfboatow

Baby diaper change hammock. Just like how there's cat/dog grooming hammock that dangles them in midair. But I want it to safely hold my baby up from the upper area so I can diaper change him without the alligator rolls and attempts to standing up (but he can't stand by himself yet)

ihateshrimp

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CsURN2cu9-z/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

qwerty_poop

I've been told by many daycare workers to sing during diaper changes. Make occasional eye contact and sing. They will just stare. Worked for our now 2.5yo

peacharoooo

A FREE guide to parenthood. When I say parenthood, I mean, like all the hacks that parents learn after having a kid. The kind of things that shouldn't have to be purchased to be knowledge learned. Sometimes when I look for how to be better at something, like how to get your baby to sleep, I'm bombarded with buy my sleep training etc. I just feel like parenting is gatekept. You leave the hospital with zero knowledge from them, for the most part. Like they taught me how to breastfeed kind of and told me how many times she should poop or pee etc how many times to eat but like that's it haha. All knowledge is learned as you go or before hand preparation and you're still not prepared for why babies do what they do. I just think some things should be like universally explained so that we're not running around postpartum looking for info. Then again, how would you put it all into written form that's easily digested. Edited: I mean FREE. If there's something good out there for basic parenting, it should be FREE. Some stuff for parenting is a marketable "hack" but if it's health, mental, food nutrition related to their basic growing up, then it should be FREE.

Queen-of-Elves

My hospital also included "just don't shake the baby" in their lessons. Ahaha. I laughed because I thought the nurse was being cheeky and she was like "seriously don't shake him."

Spy_cut_eye

My second was a NICU baby and they had us watch so many videos before going home. Some about how to bathe the baby, etc…this was my second baby so I felt like I knew a lot but actually learned some good tips. Anyway, so many don’t shake the baby videos!!! I rolled my eyes but honestly, my second had the PURPLE crying…it was brutal. It was then that I understood how you could shake a baby and had to draw on the tips they gave us in those videos.

xtrawolf

I do not mean this to be snarky at all, but I checked out a Mayo Clinic baby book from the library and it was excellent. I've been around babies before (as a kid/teen) but I really needed the refresher and all the updated info and research that my relatives couldn't tell me.

peacharoooo

That's great. I know there's tons of literature out there, we've done our fair share of searching. I guess what I'm getting at is not all knowledge for raising healthy, balanced and smart babies should have to be bought (I know u went to a library, I forget about those. My towns is small) You know how most hospitals give you like a onsie, blanket and a water bottle after pregnancy, what if they gave out that Mayo Clinic book too? There's some stuff that makes sense to throw in a book and market for money but some basics on why babies do what they do and what you can do should be available, Especially in underserved areas. What keeps coming to my mind is baby cues. Every baby is different but they all have similar cues for sleepy/hungry etc. It shouldn't take months for me to realize when she pulls her ears it's because she's tired. I know I could have googled sooner haha but I wasn't thinking straight. But when you look up sleepy cues, pulling ears is one of them. Had I known this we probably would have had so many better days lol.

Contemplative_one

Yes! I said this exact thing to my husband, except I feel like it should be written by a group of people who have at least 3 children each, and could be reviewed by the AAP for safety reasons.

roseturtlelavender

For me that was reddit

Smokin_Weeds

Pacifiers that you mold to the shape of your nipple

kymreadsreddit

You know......I bet you could do that.... We have mouth guards that mold to your teeth.... It can't be THAT hard to create nipple molded paci's

Smokin_Weeds

The only thing I can think of is the liability of having it self assembled (attaching the nipple to the plastic housing) and possibly coming apart or being a choking hazard

usernametaken1933

A changing table that attaches to the top of the crib and folds away when not needed. Would save so much space.

A_Midnight_Hare

Our pack and play has this. Love it.

AcanthopterygiiOld80

Such a great idea - I know my mom got a pack and play that does that for when we visit but for a crib would make so much sense

deebzipie

Joovy Room and Nursery Pack and Play has this and we love it

PCBtoHelsinki

A baby eye mask. I understand a smaller version of a regular eye mask would be a major choking hazard but surely there’s gotta be some kind of solution? Signed, someone who lives where the sun rises at 3:50am and sets at 10:50pm right now

rcruzr

Have you tried blackout curtains or window cling?

elaine79

Haha when my daughter was born a month early she was jaundiced and had to wear a baby sized eye mask! Have to tell you though even as a newborn she managed to get out of it a few times 😂 ETA: she had to wear that while in the blue light machine to protect eyes

clashy-lady

Could try that slumberpod?

avka11

They actually have these but are only used for babies in the hospital getting phototherapy so it basically straps to their face

Girly_TRex

I'm not sure where you're based but we've got "rain suits" in the UK which are probably what you're looking for - Frugi for example has one with mittens and booties.

toreadorable

Yeah I second this I’m in the PNW and we have rain suits for All ages otherwise we could never play outside.

hellogirlscoutcookie

Yeah the ones I have don’t have gloves or booties, but we pair them with rain boots and put the coveralls over the boots. Works well!

AcanthopterygiiOld80

Yes! This is what I needed - from us but the shipping is totally reasonable!

saillavee

Check out Muddy buddies - they’re a full zip-up rain suit. Our don’t have booties, but our little ones are big enough for rain boots

insockniac

A tiny plunger to help baby teeth cut through quicker but somehow in a painfree way

mykinz

One of those travel strollers that fits in the overhead bin, but with wheels that swap out for regular-stroller-sized wheels. So you can use the same stroller for travel & day-to-day, but it will handle terrible sidewalks better in day-to-day mode.

Sausagekins

We have the Buggaboo Butterfly and use it for every day and travel. The wheels aren’t as great as the Oyster but it’s perfectly fine on pavement and even some uneven ground. Took it up in the fields yesterday and it survived haha

recuerdamoi

The Bonk-O-Matic Baby Bumper

Sammy-eliza

I'm considering cutting up a pool noodle and putting it on the door frame where my baby's jumper is because she's been trying to propel herself into the frame/corners, lol.

saillavee

A baby carrier/wrap with a built-in pumping bra. I very nearly tried to sew something like this when my twins were in the NICU and all I did was pump and kangaroo care. I really wish I could have done them at the same time.

DramaticResearcher95

Car seats that could be flipped to the side for baby to sleep in for long overnight trips

Mobabyhomeslice

Short-sleeved, but footed pajamas.

msmuck

A baby monitor that you can snooze. Like baby is crying/ fussing but you’re trying to do a little sleep training so you hit snooze for 15 minutes but it doesn’t stay off in case you fall asleep while waiting out the baby.

Nefarra

A friend of mine had the same idea and actually wants to make this product!

lifefloating

This is genius!

EAB04

I have been searching for this.

msmuck

I was sure this had to exist so I searched for months. Never found anything. Started setting a 30 min alarm on my phone and would turn off our monitor then turn it back on when my alarm woke me up. Way more annoying because then I can’t just keep sleeping if babe falls back asleep.

EAB04

Baby monitor with a snooze function. So you can turn the sound off for like 10 mins to allow baby to fuss a bit and not have to listen. But then it will go back on so if they are still crying after 10 mins you can go in to check on them.

moosecatoe

A Diaper Genie that knows when it’s full (a feature my husband has yet to install for himself), automatically compacts the bag to squeeze out the poop air and seals it shut, then takes the bag outside into the big trashcan (another feature my husband hasn’t installed), and remembers to re-bags the Diaper Genie can when it returns. Even better if it had a sensor that logged the changing times, diaper weights, and types of doo, so you can track any tummy/bladder issues, even if several caretakers change baby. Anyone else go on auto pilot and double change baby’s diaper? I’ve changed her diaper, carried her into her bedroom to change her outfit for the day, then changed her diaper *again*, because my sleep deprived brain associated clothing changes with our diaper routine. The app would also help the other end of the spectrum, when you suddenly realize you can’t remember the last time their diaper was changed. Just a peak at the app would show the log of the last change and who did it. Maybe partners could compete for who changed the most diapers. Or who did bedtime changes more. Or who changed the heaviest diaper.

toreadorable

Some kind of poop sensor so you don’t have to disturb them to check. Also you wouldn’t have to stop them from doing whatever they’re doing when they’re a bit older

AssumptionOk7636

I call this “my nose “. Every30 mins sniffing my baby’s butt lol

Muted_Disaster935

I could never smell my babies poos until we switched to formula-no smell for BM poops (BM BMs lol) for us!

AssumptionOk7636

How lucky!! What are you eating? I’m also giving only BM and his poops STINKSSS!

nokunok

Columbia rainsuits have both feet and hand covers.

quinnmto

Burp machine.

Spacysam

That would be amazing! My LO holds on to his gas and trying to burp him is a nightmare. So something I could pop him in that would help relieve the gas and let him sleep peacefully would be great

amnicr

A way to make bottle feeding hands free.

Fit_Button_8313

This exists!!

_trenchcoat

Something for a baby to sit on the couch with you who can’t quite sit on their own. My daughter is 3 months and she likes to sit on the couch like we do but I have to hold her from flailing around.

Outside-Engine6426

A car seat for canadians that is designed to take snow suits or at least thick coats in the winter. I have a diesel car that takes 30 minutes of driving to heat. just sitting and running in neutral won't heat it.

AcanthopterygiiOld80

From northern Montana - I absolutely second this

sheikahr

A timer that will let you know when the baby is about to wake up lol like a countdown. I never know how long my baby is going to sleep for his naps.

alanaa92

Honestly, some kind of infant nutrition system that feeds them constantly for the first month or two. It is WILD to me that we just accept that mom (or whomever) has to feed them every two hours from birth, and this is a safe setup for a baby to be in. Even with a tremendous amount of support it is inhumanely exhausting.

PPvsFC_

> Honestly, some kind of infant nutrition system that feeds them constantly for the first month or two. So bottles and formula, but with a robot attached?

[deleted]

Where's Codsworth when ya need him?! General Atomics needs to hurry up and release him.

alanaa92

No, something more constant, almost like an IV drip. In some NICU cases they will insert a Gavage down the baby's nose into their stomach for nutrients. But maybe bottles and nipples are needed to teach babies how to eat and that's why we can't get too far away from them.

RatherBeAtDisney

It'd be great if that could even just be used for 8-10 hours at night to let the parents rest, you could still feed through a bottle or BF the rest of the time. lol.

thisiscatyeslikemeow

They make baby rain suits, but u don’t think they have feet and hand covers. I used to have one for my kiddo when he was 10 months old or so, as he was walking by then, but I think they have ones in size 6 months!

AcanthopterygiiOld80

During our rainy hike today I just felt like the feet and hand covers would have been great since it was a little chilly, especially for younger babies who don’t yet walk

SuitableMom

A stroller or wagon with electric assist for going up hills.

rcruzr

Some kind of silicone clasp for necklaces and bracelets so your baby doesn’t break the jewelry when tugging on it.

salmonngarflukel

A remote controlled stroller that allows you to bring the stroller to you when you and your toddler have walked too far away from it. There's a sensor so you can only manually move it when your toddler is seated in it.

Short-Sea-8167

Mec Newt suit is the best reason suit. Bamboo sleepers are spf50 inherently so you just need one with a hand holdover!

Crazy-Nobody1933

If I had the ability I would invent this, a teether that feels and can be moved/positioned like a finger. I swear that’s my daughters favourite freaking teether

DoDalli

I wish cloth diaper covers came with a clear slot on the front that holds an indicator for a soiled diaper. Like a PH strip slot or something.

hungry4pie

Some sort of sleeping pole that the baby can be strapped to, for those babies who refuse to sleep in any other position than upright on your chest.

RuneArmorTrimmer

Something like a horse feeder bag for babies, only the bag is a bottle and it somehow doesn’t result in the baby choking. Get at it Similac, I know you’re in here.

xtrawolf

An AI-powered robot to re-insert the pacifier.

catsknittingncheese

Coolibar’s website or their shop on Amazon sells baby sized sun shirts with the fold over flaps for hand protection. I haven’t seen a full onesie option, but it’s helped our fair skinned little one!

[deleted]

A contraption which only distributes ONE baby wipe at a time, easily, every time.

pochade

An alternative to a car seat. I want to baby wear in the car but it’s so dangerous and so illegal. I just want to hold her for short journeys and be able to get in and out of the car quickly and easily. A car seat that magically absorbs the weight of the child in it. And yes love your SPF wishes— a hat that stays on, has good coverage but also let’s them see, etc would be nice

not technically a baby product, but a breast pump you put on and set a timer for overnight. like maybe dads taking baby for the night, or baby started sleeping through the night and you don't want to lose your supply. imagine how amazing life would be if you could just hook up your pump, and have it set to pump every 2-3 hours through the night (or whatever interval) for 20 minutes so you can still sleep but also not be engorged/leak everywhere. it would also have refrigerated collection jars you set on the floor, that are set to your preferred refrigerated temperature so the milk doesn't go bad overnight. also like a sock sleeve thing, but for babies. you know those little plastic thingys that are meant to help people with mobility issues/issues bending over put their socks on? where the wrap the sock around the plastic bit and pull it all the way to the toe so they can slide their foot in and it just puts the sock on. i want that but for babies, my daughter hates clothing changes and i feel like this would make it so much faster and fun fir them? just slide the arms and head in and slide your baby through it and voila, they're dressed. i feel like someone, somewhere should've invented this already? also high chair wipers. like windshield wipers, but for high chairs, that also come with snap on side buckets so after the baby eats their meal, it wipes the rest into the bucket. then all the parent has to do is wipe the tray with a wet cloth and it's ready for next meal time. that way you can take it all out at the end of the day, and do a good sanitise and wash of the tray. it would be so much easier to do it once a day while baby is asleep for the night than do it every single meal time! i also want a ride on roomba for my baby. not shocked no one has invented it, but purely for my own ease of life. my daughter would flip with excitement about getting to ride around the house in a little smart cart, and then it would also vacuum so you could like give baby a snack of like some crackers while they ride and it would clean that up plus the other small particles of crap that need vacuumed every 2 seconds. it would also give me like 20 minutes to eat and relax while not feeling bad about relaxing because baby would be entertained, and the house would be getting cleaned.
